I didn't bet on this one, but as I said, either Maringá would draw or win. They underestimated the gigantic Maringá. That's why it's so important to analyze it well beforehand. And the worst part is that Maringá itself started scoring goals.

Man, I got lucky with that game. I completely forgot and thought the match was today. I was going to bet on Atlético-MG hahaha. Good thing I forgot, otherwise I would’ve lost money again... Regarding this year's championship, so far I've looked at the statistics. There were 60 games, 50% were home wins and 35% were draws. The rest were away wins. So, a good bet is Home wins. However, to be more certain, Home or Draw.

Regarding last year's championship, there were 380 games, 47% for Home, 27% for draws and 26% for away. In other words, in the long run, Home tends to be the most victorious, but there is also a Home or Draw despite the small difference.

Lana de Andrade was the only person who did goal of the match and he did this goal at the end of match when match was close to end .   The shots of Flamengo football team were more in this match which were 24 and only 9 shots were on target. The possession percentage of that team was also excellent in this match which was 77 percent and possession percentage of Botafogo team was 23 percent only . The passes of Flamengo team were also excellent in this match and that team was ahead in this match and they deserve this win and they are winner of this match.

Flamengo seems like it will still improve a lot as the season progresses. We have the striker Pedro back, and soon he'll be in top physical shape... Despite only managing to score 1 goal, fortunately Flamengo won. In a few hours, Flamengo will play against Cruzeiro. It won't be an easy game because although Cruzeiro only won 2 of their last 5 games, they had those 2 wins when they played at home, which clearly shows that they are a strong team when they play at home. That's why Flamengo needs to be very careful.

The departure of Luiz Henrique and Tiago Almada plus the lack of reinforcements of the same performance level of those two players left Botafogo ineffective in 2025. The coach Renato Paiva is being heavily blamed for the poor performance, but I don't think he is the main issue at all. Players are missing too many balls on the field, while unable to finish the plays with effective shots to the goal.

New players who arrived this year are almost useless. Meanwhile, too much expectations are put on average players who commit 2 mistakes for each correct action, like Patrick de Paula, for an example.

And don't expect it's going to improve on the following matches. The next opportunity to configure the team once again will be only in July. Still, there aren't guarantees John Textor and the SAF will do the right decisions next time.

Botafogo has probably come back to reality. I even mentioned this in the Brazilian Championship thread last year, it was very strange to see Botafogo among the top teams, since the club’s real situation didn’t match that. It was almost like a planetary alignment for things to be going well... the team will likely return to its usual state: mid-table or fighting against relegation.

Don't blame yourself so much! The statistics pointed to a Flamengo victory away from home. And they were indeed superior but they couldn't convert that into goals. They had 60% of the ball possession and over 80% of the possession. Just accept that they are a bad team!

For today, I'm going with Juventude or a draw. Following the logic that Juventude has 5 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses. While Atlético has 3 wins and 6 draws and only 3 losses.
