From not being from Brazil i have one question to the nationals of Brazil. How much relevance did you give to the "estaduales" or regionals tournaments?

Are important or are simply a lose of time? Because i always see them as some little teams fighting against super big ones and they do a pretty good job.

Each state has its own rivalry. And this is wonderful for those who like confrontations, because there will always be rivalry in the matches and sometimes they are consecutive, first the match of region X, then the next day the match of region Y. This is interesting to watch.

In addition, the teams test before the main championship, which is the Brasileirão, and this fosters new talent.

The smaller teams try their best in these championships because for them it is the main championship of the year, not to mention that for the players it is the chance to be seen and get a transfer to bigger teams and then change their lives and career level, for coaches the same thing, if the team manages to show good football and a good tactical scheme, they can get a spot in a big team... basically it is the possible opportunities that make them do so well in these championships.

I think it's the only country to have state championships

Regional from Sao Paulo seems the most hard of all of them. Is normal because as far as i know Sao Paoulo is the most powerfull economic hub of the country and one of the most populate zone.
