if many people who gamble can control themselves then there will be no cases of them losing a lot of money because of gambling, because we know that quite a lot of cases that occur are someone who experiences the destruction of his life because of being too excessive in gambling, it indicates the absence of self-control that is mastered well, also if comparing responsible gamblers and those who are not, there are definitely more irresponsible people than those who are responsible for their behavior towards gambling.
I agree with you, it is impossible to have a win that can be obtained in the long term because gambling relies on luck and luck will not always happen in every gamble that is done, if it were like that, maybe many people would choose not to work in the real world.

Gambling can also be considered a job if you can make money from it, and it will be a very difficult job emotionally. In this case, both judgments from the title must be achieved, there must be self-control and profit in the long-term game, without self-control there will be no winnings, and without long-term success there will be no point in doing this on a permanent basis, otherwise it will simply lose its meaning and you will need to look for a job that can cover all our expenses.

I think I would be really amazed if there was a gambler who could make gambling like a regular job, especially in terms of income, or I mean it would be extraordinary if there was a gambler who always consistently won in gambling, in my opinion it is very unlikely or I mean the chance of success is very small considering that gambling is a business for bookies where bookies seek profit from gamblers who lose and as we know that it has been proven that most gamblers lose more than they win.

Self-control is important but self-control is not something that guarantees victory, it is an action that is useful for minimizing the possibility of excessive defeat and for the matter of victory it depends on how lucky you are when playing.

I always watch my self-control very carefully. And as soon as I see that there are problems with my self-control, it is a reason for me to think hard. Why can’t I follow my own rules? However, another important question follows from this important question: what exactly is the problem - my rules or my self-control? Maybe it’s not a matter of insufficient control? Maybe my rules are simply not adequate enough for the game? This is always a reason to review the rules again. Usually, it is precisely this. The thing is that the rules may be either inadequate for the game situation or not suit your personality. The main thing we can achieve is a balance between the adequacy of the rules and the energy directed at self-control.

Self Control Vs Long term winning

Do we have the same struggle?
There is no greater challenge than controlling yourself while participating in gambling. Losing self-control through overindulgence is a common occurrence in gambling and controlling yourself from this state is the biggest challenge. In my strategy I basically lose control occasionally and get too greedy and make multiple out-of-control bets to win more, which is one aspect of my gambling loss of self-control.

Winning long term is the hardest thing to learn realistically speaking since it’s almost non-existent due to the nature of casino games. You can learn self control through years of gambling or by having limited bankroll.

It’s only few gambler that manage to win in the long run, as in with profit as final balance if they compute their total wager while there’s a lot of user that can play with self control and just having fun.

Do we have the same struggle?

In gambling, discipline is of course the most important thing, because if you cannot control your money properly and cannot control yourself, then it is definitely a sign of addiction to gambling. Therefore, having self-control is the most important thing because it is the first step to being deprived of greed, the best sign to remove addiction from gambling.
A person who does not have self-control inside is definitely negligent towards all things, because lack of self-control or lack of discipline definitely leads the gambler towards regrettable actions. Gamblers who fail to control all these things face huge losses at that time, so I think it is best for every gambler to give the most importance to this issue.

Yes I think self-control is more difficult than long-term winning because if we can't control ourselves it will cause us to lose, self-control is very important for the sustainability of our gambling if we are too greedy and want a big win makes us forget that gambling has risks that we can't avoid and tend to increase bets to return our previous losses but what happens is the opposite so it's better to learn to control yourself when gambling so that we can become responsible gamblers.

Seriously? I never thought gambling could be a job, with you saying that I can make money from it. I can occasionally get money or profit but because there is no clear certainty about the amount and when it will happen I don't think gambling can be a job that can make money because the name of the job can generate profits in the long term while the profits in gambling are not like that.
In addition, I am not sure we have good self-control will be able to get profits in the long term, the self-control that is owned allows us to maintain our own behavior so that there is no excessive behavior such as re-depositing money on gambling after experiencing a loss, or the desire to recover losses that previously occurred in gambling that was done. With self-control it is something that must be determined, but with long-term benefits even if we require it I am not sure we can.

Exactly self control is one vital took you'll need to get a long term win and again it's that tool you need to control your gambling habits not to digress into addictions but alot of gamblers neglect this factors and this is why they go on becoming addicts and as well keep loosing, there's how self control works and if you're able to understand it then you're on the verge of success. It's just like the master planner of every steps you take and if you apply it it sure gives you a better results.

I agree with that, getting a win that can last in the long run is more difficult than learning self-control in gambling. The first statement is that the casino has a greater advantage in the percentage of wins or profits and this cannot be changed by the player, while the player only has a lower chance of winning, even though it can be said to be far away.

Someone who is addicted may be able to recover from their addiction even though it is difficult, but the chance to recover is there depending on their own determination, but when we have the determination to get a win in the long run it will not change the statement that the casino has a greater chance of getting its profit.

Ideally, self-control is necessay for achieving long-term success in gambling, but if we’re talking about the long term, it means we’ll face various challenges that test our discipline. That’s exactly what I’ve experienced, I have a bankroll specifically set for the long term, and the strategy is already in place, it’s just a matter of following through. Yet, from time to time, I lose my discipline.

For instance, my plan is to bet only 2% of my bankroll per stake. However, there are times when I increase it to 5%, 10%, or even more, despite knowing it goes against my strategy. This lack of self-control can derail the long-term plan, and that’s a lesson I keep grappling with.

Do we have the same struggle?

Recently I asked myself what percentage of the deposit the bet should take, and I sat down to calculate. The idea was that the bet should be so small that I could then manage the position, trying to carefully recoup in case of bad circumstances. As a result, I came to the conclusion that 2 percent is indeed the best initial bet, which will bring a good income, while it is not a noticeable loss for the deposit. Therefore, I think that 5 and 10 percent are really big bets, which I personally consider too greedy and should not be bet so much. And in other respects, you are right.

Yes, that is right because the temptation from gambling will be bigger following the result that we get. We should be careful when playing gambling and no need to continue gambling if the situation becomes worst. Losing control will means that we can lose our money and the other problems will arise. So we must learn how to have self control to avoid the losses and we can stop gambling immediately. I think self control is the matters that I still learn so far because I often lose my control in gambling but that doesn't mean I give up to learn more. I know it is difficult to learn self control and have it but I will still try.

Whenever I feel like I am losing my temper and control over the situation, I remind myself that I am an adult, not a child. This reminder always brings me to my senses. A child can act chaotically, following his impulses, but an adult will never do this.

Also, to ensure self-control, I use such a time management tool as notes (in them I mark my goals and tasks). To prioritize, I divide tasks into four types - important and urgent; important, but not urgent; urgent, but not important; and not important, but not urgent. This allows me to correctly prioritize and maintain self-control in any gambling situation.

In general, standard time management tools are very effective for use in gambling.

Control over myself and my time allows me to be more successful in gambling and win more often.

It took me around two years to  make bankroll -oriented gamble  mine routine. The hard part of this learning curve was to follow the slope of my bankroll considered in time scale rather than in size scale. Finally I have realized that setting my prices lower when the slope was negative and higher when the slope was positive works in my favor but before that I loose more than often because always had inner wish to increase my price and followed that desire.  Thus, summarizing all of the above, and answering you question " learning self-control is harder".

Well self control is very important not only in gambling or betting but in everything we do and perhaps what you are experiencing now is not really an issue of self control rather you are just trying to increase or double your usual earning to something more tangible and encouraging which sometimes can be defined as greed though change of pattern or method is not  a bad idea but it should be something one can actually take care of if it does not work out well as a matter of fact what you are experiencing is what i actually do sometimes i feel like my winning is very small even when i have said this is the amount i am going to be using i will be tempted to... because i really need more but i do not use what is beyond my capacity.

You have really formed a good division of priorities, I liked it. But it turns out that all players are ultimately divided into those who can observe such things and those who cannot do it. All this requires effort, willpower, planning and execution, but most players come to the casino to have fun and have a great time without thinking about anything, and some strict rules are the last thing they will think about in the game.

The fact that an adult can be fully responsible for what he does really emphasizes his mental development and how he can keep himself under control.

if many people who gamble can control themselves then there will be no cases of them losing a lot of money because of gambling, because we know that quite a lot of cases that occur are someone who experiences the destruction of his life because of being too excessive in gambling, it indicates the absence of self-control that is mastered well, also if comparing responsible gamblers and those who are not, there are definitely more irresponsible people than those who are responsible for their behavior towards gambling.

Got curious about how does this thing became possible while the fact is we cannot assure to earn passive income on gambling. This kind of thinking is dangerous since it will make them believe that its easy to earn on gambling while in fact that they might lose their money unexpectedly also they might experience addiction if they didn't settle up their expectation and chase for more possible gains with gambling.

Before they experience the worse condition better to think again with those statement they said. Also maybe doing some research and following more gambling discussion could help them realize that gambling is not a simple as what they think and they must be careful on this activity. Self control is important so that they would never think about doing excessive situation that can make their life became more miserable.

The answer is very obvious though, self-control is very hard because it plays with our emotions and our psyche. And that's where the gamblers are trap, I mean we seek for the thrill and rewards and when we play, we always wanted to have that kind of feeling. So it's very difficult for us to separate our emotions from logically decisions. For sure almost everyone here has that kind of experience, wherein you somewhat here voices to tell you to continue and that is our emotions taking over.

As compare to long term winning, and there is only one thing here: House-edge.

We all know that in the end, the house will always win. We might have that incredible run as lady luck is on our side. But even those run out as well. Even if we say that we have strategies, we can't remove the element of chance or luck and usually it will not favor us in the long run.

Perhaps it is very well known to us that our mistakes teach us something to become better and more responsible. We all have experienced inconsistency; some recover from losing control while some continue doing wrong.

Imagining the situation that many people fall into addiction, we can say that a lot of gamblers make it more difficult to correct mistakes than those who are able to do it right.

Therefore, we could say that gambling is not just a simple thing, as it can make someone change their whole life.

Learning self-control is not that hard to learn, and winning long-term is not something we can learn since gambling results are random and each session has a different output.

What is hard in terms of self-control is implementing and maintaining it. Many have strived hard to gain it but eventually lose their self-control when something triggers them during their gameplay.  So it is really a challenge for everyone to keep our head cool and in control all the time.

About winning long term, I believe it is not something we can learn and it should not be compared with self-control because these two things are way different from each other.  Self-control is something we can decide and have full control to implement while winning in gambling is totally out of our hands (including sports betting since there is always a random factor that can change the outcome of the match).

Ideally, self-control is necessay for achieving long-term success in gambling, but if we’re talking about the long term, it means we’ll face various challenges that test our discipline. ..

Do we have the same struggle?
Whether long term or short term, nothing beats self control. It's the discipline everyone needs to succeed in all they do, either in gambling or trading or teaching or in construction. It's all in all. Yes, I had that struggle starting up but I've dealt with it now to the very minimal. Sometimes when I want to step out of line, subconsciously something beats me back to the plumbline by flashing to me what I said I wouldn't do. To maintain self control, set a principle that will serve as a bond to your words. That way you won't renege on your word/decision not to do certain things or overstep yourself.
