Yes people do bets on  matches they do not enjoy - for example I have bet on hockey and cricket so many times despite not knowing any shit about the game and I have managed to win several of my bets there.

Whenever I want to run a parlay and I want to make a very long lists of bets I usually just pick random games both from sports like football, basketball and some other ones that I have never watched before but do know how they work; those type of parlay I usually stake the lowest amount allowed by the casino and just watch the ticket run and if at some point I’m satisfied with the cashout option I’m being offered I’ll end the game there.

Football sports - others are never bet on because they are not favorites while in sports betting even non-favorite teams are bet on such as minor league matches to make a profit.

So football betting will always be enjoyed even though sometimes upset is always there where the team that is bet on loses, but this is what I can do not only the favorite team of the minor league team sometimes I look for opportunities there.

For example, I bet on basketball despite the fact that I don't watch it, all that I need is information about the team and players.

But you at least watch the commentaries and summaries. Basketball is so popular that I feel that it is next to football and if you are betting on it, you should have some likeness for the star players like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, and some others who are popular.

When you are doing it for the money then you can, the most important thing for a gambler is to win so if he has the assurance of winning the bet he will risk it, and mind you, you can bet on a game you don't watch and is not a must to follow up with the games if you don't enjoy the game. You need to know how a team or an athlete plays so you know how will they fare with a specific opponent or in a specific match. Details like this would be found if you watch the matches. Because there might be some talents that are going unnoticed because only the popular ones are reported by big media outlets that you may miss.

I can bet on a sport that I'm not familiar with but I can't bet on a sport that I don't like. People who gamble for fun don't need to bet on sports that they don't like or have interest in, there won't be any entertainment in it. One of the fun of sports bet is knowing the current forms of teams and their players to be able to make reasonable analysis. Maybe it's professional gamblers that can bet on different types of sports whether they like them or not. With a sport like football I don't need to know much about every country's league, I can get information about a league and make my bets. But for sports that doesn't interest me I wouldn't be motivated to follow their news.

Only for the teams I like that I wait for even when I should be sleeping. In general, football is the sport I like the most and I have a good knowledge of myself when I bet on it.
I bet on the teams I like if I think my favorite team has a good chance of winning. I know that every team that I like as a fan doesn't have to bet on them to win. If the odds are in my favor I would bet on another outcome, I would not miss it while enjoying the game.

As much as I don't fan basketball, I still have some teams and players that I voted for in the 2024 NBA rankings, and the top on my list of best players are Minnesota Timberwolves, Kelvin Durant and some others, but my vote was strongly for the two mentioned player's, on few abd as for games commentary I follow up a lot to feed my information that I need to make my analysis, just that I don't watch the game the way I watch football because I enjoy football More compared to basketball.

Like many have said already, some gamblers gambles for the money and those are the ones who might want to analyze too many sports and place bets on them without even having them as their favorite. Everyone loves soccer and loves betting on soccer but I'm not a fan of basketball I still bet on it. I only enjoy when I make wins that the fun part but making loss bring regret that when I realize they I should only bet on sports I enjoy. Though every gambler have their own preference for different sports.

This your topic is some how complex because it's all depends on the individual involved and different people has different reasons when gambling because for those who see gambling basically for the sole purpose of making money as far as they are sure about making money from the particular gambling events they will definitely bet on sports that they don't even like because to them it's all about making money

It's too strange how a person can bet on a game he doesn't even like. I completely agree with you, this will only increase money with zero happiness, and maybe at that time, he was just so bored. I think when a sports gambler engages in gambling, he bets on the game he really likes because he is an expert in that game and knows everything about his team players. He will make good bets on the right things, not only earning money but also gaining real happiness. On one side, he wins his bet, and on the other, he watches the whole match. I can't drop the sport that I didn't enjoy but I have question, why the sport you don't like but as soon as you place a bet on it, you enjoy it? Money is emotion Money is energy. When you can earn money in some way it will make you happy and when you get money without any effort it will make you even more happy.  But the easier money comes from there, the easier it is to lose money.  Gambling is a bad addiction that will make you emotional very quickly due to which you will make various financial decisions very quickly which you will regret later.  We all love to enjoy sports because we love sports but losing money by betting on these sports is enough to spoil our enjoyment.

i am of the view that it is not right to bet on games you don't enjoy and this view is based on several obvious reason ranging from the fact that, any sports you do not enjoy will give you the most of the losses because you might end up selecting games you know literally nothing about or inconvenient yourself into learning games you are not interested in just because you want to include them in the list of games you will be betting at a time.

if it is difficult to watch games you don't enjoy, it is going to be more difficult gambling on them because all your prediction is going to be completely void of any form of thorough analysis.

Being passionate do not put food or pay our bills. We can be passionate on our favorite sports at the same time we can also be passionate about making money through them. What i have noticed recently is people give more attention to the sports they bet on. A football fan bet mostly on football games, a basketball fan would rather choose to bet mostly on basketball games instead of football. And we all know the reasons why it is so. We put our mind where our money comes from. That is just human nature and many persons are dancing to the tune.

I used to be a fan before a gambler, but now I am a gambler before a fan. I enjoy betting more than I enjoy watching & analyzing every game, I let others do that job... but I like to watch their stats and draw my own conclusions.

I watch an interesting game sometimes, but for that to happen I need to be free that evening (from work and family obligations) when there are some interesting games, which doesn't happen very often.

I am not so much into the money as I am into searching for good bets while I watch stats... if I win it's great, but that doesn't happen all the time.

I agree with you. There is no reason for me to actually partake in betting if it is a sport I have never followed before or whether it is a sport I have never felt passion before, to be honest.
Also, you need to keep in mind that those who bet in sports they do not even know enough to analyze are more likely to lose their money due to the lack of knowledge on what they are doing in the first place.
The best case scenario is to feel passion for a sport way before one even starts to bet, it gives a positive edge against other gamblers who may be not as well-informed as one.

But some people also bet on sports matches due to the strategy. When they see an opportunity because the sports has so many events then there is a strategy to be made.

I found myself betting on sports I am no fan of but somehow I tried to make money out of it because of the strategy I found out from someone who also bet on games he has no idea. If the sports attracts gamblers, they are going to come up with strategy.

But I know some people who depend of. Predictions sites for games. They don't have any experience or enjoy these sports but they bet on them since always get predictions for these professional predictors.
