The increase of crime has become the order of the day, citizens no longer has peace of mind, harm robbering, kidnapping, fraud and many more has become a dayly routine.

People are no longer scared of the penalty if been caught involved in crime.
This has given me so much concern and worries about it all. However, there could be a remedy or possible ways in which the rate of crime can be reduced or perhaps stopped completely in our society.

I don't think there's a way to erase crime completely in our society, how can we stop crime when the people in high position that are suppose to fight crime are involved in crimes themselves, our politicians are the ones more guilty of crime, those who are suppose to uphold the law and protect citizens are often the ones perpetuating crime  but they claim to be fighting against it. Crime can only be reduced but it can't be stopped because it has gone too deep into the society and it's unrealistic to think that we can completely eradicate crimes

In my perspective, it is never possible to permanently reduce crime by using only the law enforcement force. Particularly why do people commit crimes? If a good solution is found to this question, then people can move away from committing crimes to a great extent. In most cases, a person gets involved in ordinary crimes because he does not have a suitable source of income. When he goes through poverty, no kind of sociality or moral education is of any use to him. They go beyond the ethics and do all those criminal activities. If employment opportunities can be created for those people, then the crime rate can be reduced to a great extent. Moreover, in the present time, some people work recklessly due to drug addiction and if they can be removed from those places of addiction, then it is possible to reduce the crime incidents.

A good way to stop crime will be for the US military to invade universities and lock all the students up. University students act like fucked up pieces of shit and criminals, so they need to be put in their places.

Nothing is permanent in this world, if all the governments want to end crime in the whole world, they have the power to do that because they know what to do to make people not to think of crime in their various countries. Not all politicians, there are some good politicians who are straight forward human beings, and there is nothing that will make them to commit crime in the society because they know it will bring shame and disgrace to their family.

I don't  think increase in immigration is the cause for crime rather the min reason why people commits crime is because of bad government.  If government can provide job for citizens and gove the necessary things they want, people won't be migrating to other countries,  they will remain in their country.  People are migrating to find greener pastures and they would do anything to survive.  The government is the problem and if they should play their role I'm sure crime rate will reduce.

Sure, governments can make things harder or easier, and if people are really desperate, they might do things they wouldnt normally do. But people make choices too. Sometimes, people make bad choices even when things are pretty good.

And saying immigration doesnt affect crime at all? Well, thats just not true. There are stats and actual numbers that can back this up. Sometimes, when lots of people move to a new place, it can create problems, even if no one meant for that to happen. It can be a little like when too many kids try to play on the same playground at once - things can get a bit messy.

Eradicating crime is impossible in as much as interest and greed are found among humans. Crime today has become an intrinsic part of the society that it's even saddened that the people empowered by law to fight crime have turned to also be abet a lot of crimes in the society for personal gain and they do this with so much impunity.  A whole of of crimes that are being carried out on the streets are done by people sponsored by those in high places that's why most of the crimes we hear about are quickly covered because on investigation it could be incriminating a high ranking personality or political figure. To stop crime, then what causes crime must be tackled. Most of the reasons for crime is unemployment and deprivation.

The fact that people are unemployed they become poor and anyone who is poor always try to devise means for survival and most of the times these people resort to crime as a ticket for survival. I always tell people that "poverty and crime" are different sides of a coin. To stop crime, people must be gainfully employed. A person who is working will not think of committing crime because he is always busy with his job and so there is no time to even consider doing something bad. To involve in crime, so many things will be considered and at the end the person may not involve in crime especially when he considers the possibility of losing his job and tarnishing his reputation if he is caught. Most persons who involve in crime have no image to protect since it is belief that a poor person has no pedigree.

Deprivation too can trigger frustration and force people to involve in crime. This is common in countries where their citizens do not benefit from the natural resources in their land. When people feel that they are suppose to get a fair share from their resources but do not get, then they will devise means on how to get a fair share and this means is always criminal and illegal. Thus, to stop crime people should get a fair share of whatever they deserve. Giving people what they due can go a long way in preventing crime.

There may be some educational reasons why an educated person would question his conscience before ever engaging in criminal activities, but an uneducated person does not feel the need to think before committing a criminal act. That is why we must first improve our society, improve the education system, and eliminate corruption. I don't think that it is possible for crime to be totally eradicated from any society or country but it can be drastically reduced if the government and leaders are proactive in dealing with the menace. Firstly what needs to be done is investigate the root causes of crime in a country or community, if the root causes are determined it will be easier to find a lasting solution to curbing it. I know that there are unrepentant criminals, no matter how wealthy they are or the opportunities that are abound for the less privileged they will still go into crime, aside from these categories most criminals might go into it because of their poverty. heres what criminals know:

1. security guards cannot go "hands on" they can only observe and report
2. police cant just arrest someone without witness, proof
    EG if they are dispatched to a domestic violence but the officer didnt see the fight, nothing can be done unless the victim makes a claim signing a citizens arrest
3. police cannot just approach and randomly search someone without reasonable articulate suspicion of a crime.
    EG "black male, wearing dark clothes, walking near busy street X" is not enough to narrow it down to a certain suspect
4. certain items stolen if below certain value do not cause reasonableness for a prisonable sentence

then there all the societal problems starting young
1. kids are not taught about money in school.
2. kids cant even have an independent debit card just for them until 18
3. not all area's have resources for after school activities
4. both parents need to work and not get home til 6pm, leaving kids to fend for selves 3pm-6pm
5. there is no aspirations for kids to want to work or allowed to work until 18
6. at 18 they are thrust into the world where everything requires money, but there was not preparation
7. news media, movies and social media make drugs, vandalism, theft and harm seem sexy and fashionable

I think the most effective and powerful step to stop crime is to have religious knowledge and a sense of morality. If a person's life is shaped by the religious precepts of his religion, his conscience is awakened, so he is afraid to commit crime. And people get religious precepts and a sense of morality from their families. Also, some government measures help to keep people away from crime, such as providing adequate employment in the country so that the young generation can be directly engaged in work after completing their education. If they are unemployed after completing their education, it creates despair among them.

If the government of a country is very strict, then it is possible to remedy it. Only if the government of a country takes strict decisions, then it is possible to remedy the various crimes and criminal acts of that country. We have seen in different countries of the world, especially if we look at El Salvador, we can see that El Salvador was full of crimes, but the government has taken strict decisions by keeping the laws of the government in place and they are on the way to free the country from various crimes and offenses through the power of the law. Moreover, if there is an elected government in the country and that government is formed through elections, then the crime in that country will definitely be much less.

You can only reduce the incident or occurrence of criminal acts but you can't eradicate it because some people feed through it and they have no other skills and so they also give birth to children who follow from their parents behaviour and keep moving like that. Harassing students especially female students isn't new and I know that the school authority do punish those caught to be doing that but that has not stopped such incident which brings us back to the ills in the society.

I think the best is to protect yourself against such attack and avoid using lonely routes. Schools have public roads and I'm sure those bad guys don't attack or molest female on those open roads. So the female students should avoid going home late, stay in school when school is on and using open/public roads.

So are you saying that for US to reduce crime they have to lock all the students up?, if I may ask on what reason would they have to lock any student up?, were they caught on the act of any crime or already committed?, actually this solution can even results to more issues because everybody has a right, however if all the students faces such lock up as your solution advice says, what will happen to there educational system, that means all the schools will be closed. Actually to fight a crime you as a leader needs to be very rooted in knowing were the crime is mostly coming from, for instance an item that people usually purchase make them to do things the law is against, so perhaps the stop to such thing is from the roots which is were those things are being manufactured from, so when is being stopped, they have also stop a lot of those using it.
