The bitter truth is that there has always been crime, and there will always be crime. The crime rate can only be reduced, but you can't eradicate it. The government and security agencies can only implement tight security measures, which can impose fear on people, but there are still those who will commit crimes no matter what. Even if there are job opportunities to keep them busy, crime has just been enacted into the DNA of some people; you can't get it out of them.

In most developed countries the rate of crime is not as much as some underdeveloped countries. It is certain for a fact that crime cannot be totally eliminated or eradicated totally from human race because crime has existed since time immemorial. But crime can be curbed or reduced to a certain level that humans can live comfortably with a certain level of peace and serenity I'm their houses.
If the government can increase job opportunities, social amenities and social security to provide a level of comfortability crime will be curbed abit. Make life easy for the citizens of a country and people will think less of crimes in the society at large.

While I'm not trying by any means to justify criminal acts, I can guarantee that it's part and parcel of any human existence. This is what brings about hypocracy and other forms of injustice. While there are individuals who are genuine and trustworthy, some people are wired to become criminals either from their family or growing up in an environment that breeds criminality. One of the outcome of the Inflation is that it results in an increase in the number of crimes. This is a complex theory and hence most people don't realize it. When you have low purchasing power, you would want to snatch other people's wealth and this will result in people involving in the crimes and all these illegal stuff. When people struggle to afford basic necessities of life like food, place to live, and healthcare, some may turn to illegal activities (e.g., theft, robbery, or fraud) to make their ends meet.

More job and earning opportunities may help in lowering the crime rate too. Interesting, Isn't

However, it may not be possible to reduce crime 100%, but it is possible to reduce the amount of crime to a large extent. It is possible to reduce crime in a country to a great extent, especially by creating an educated generation. It is also possible to reduce a country's crime rate by providing systematic punishment against drug addicts, drug addiction, gambling, and terrorism.

If the bad eggs are in a well organized system you'd see them disagreeing with 80% of the right decisions that are made to make the society grow healthy. These set of people are the cause of why we have so many political parties in different countries, the lack of unity is another reason why crime is so difficult to stop, you'd see people putting effort to stop the bad ones and you'd see things going against your plans and you wonder how or why are all these things happening. It would be very hard to stop crime if we can't eliminate the ones who go against our efforts, the law and order that are there some try as much as they can to change it so it will favor them and hide their bad deeds.

Abundance of money also leads to crime, according to Trump, when he stopped all nations from buying oil from Iran they didn't cause any form of war or fund their nuclear weapon program. Everything requires sponsorship and money to run including robbery, theft etc. The problem on the executors of the crime is joblessness and lack of money, but without any helping hands in the purchase of weapons they wouldn't have any option. However, to reduce such problems job opportunities are needed to keep the people's mind busy and away from greed.

Crimes like fraud, murder, kidnapping, etc. are increasing now. People are not afraid of committing all these crimes even though they have the best possible punishment system and punishment is given for all these crimes, even death penalty is given, even then people are not afraid of committing all these crimes, fraud, murder, kidnapping, they are doing all these things without any hesitation. However, to stop all these crimes, fraud, the government has to take a strict stand and every family has to be strict. If the family, society and the government take a strict stand, then all these fraud crimes can be reduced.

One of the things that contributes to the increase of crime is hunger and lack of jobs, when people are are hungry and have no jobs that can generates income and also keeps them to be busy, what comes to their mind is crime. The government has so much roles to plat to reduce the level of crime in the environment. I know even if the government provides everything, there will still be some persons who sees crime as a lifestyle but the government providing what the people want will surely reduce the rate of crime in the society.  In the societies where government are able to provide the basic things, crime rates are on the increase.

Your idea is good to consider but remember that what is in you is in you no matter what you do to stop it, it only takes one who is determine to stop crime that can use what the government are bringing to hold themselves but aside from that is not happening. Some can be doing well with the empowerment from the government and at the same time they can be commiting crime and you'd hear them call it doubling their hustle to make it large, eat from both sides. For me I see such behavior as a selfish one and greed also, we humans can't be satisfied with what we have, is only few who cherish what they have.
