Maybe it is from the prompting. The Op might have prompted the Ai this way "make me a brief story that I lost 7 BTC in years past when I formatted my computer, and had consulted recovery experts but they said it impossible to recover".
Of what essence then?

I was actually commiserating Op for losing such amounts of Bitcoin without knowing that those things he claims was just an AI generated words, however I wonder how pleasant this will make him feel, meanwhile you right because for him to assemble the words this way it means that he uses the way you presume to ask the AI. However aside from that I think we have all grown pass this level of ignorant in terms of not having the knowledge to no how important it is to store our important information especially the ones our investment depends 100 percent on.

Years ago, I made the mistake of wiping my computer without properly backing up my Bitcoin wallet. At the time, I had around 7 BTC stored, which seemed significant even back then, but I never imagined what it would be worth today.

I've spent countless hours over the years trying to recover it—searching through old drives, using recovery software, and even consulting with data recovery experts. Unfortunately, I’ve had no luck so far.

It’s a tough lesson I’ll never forget, and I’m sharing this as a reminder to everyone: always back up your wallets securely and double-check before making irreversible decisions.

If anyone has experience recovering wallets from wiped drives or tips that worked for them, I’d love to hear about it. Sometimes I still hold out hope that there’s a chance, no matter how slim.  Grin

Even if you have wiped your entire drive (simply formatting the drive) there are chances to recover data from it.
The thing is that there should not be multiple writes on the drive, meaning which, if you have continuously used the drive a lot of times over the years then the chances of recovering the data are very slim.
I have once recovered lost data (mostly images and few documents) using the tool Ease US data recovery wizard which showed files from previous years as well but may be that was because I didn't use the drive much.

... and save the recovery phase to your email address likewise write it down and store in save please. At times this incident occurs due to ignorant, now I will ensure I go back to my wallets and back then up, I have been ignoring it for awhile now.
It is a terrible suggestion to send your mnemonic recovery words online to your email address. Just don't do this!

Guess what, many email providers will offer you some fancy AI enhancements for your email account which means your email data is read by AI bots and whatnot else.

If you have all sorts of browser extensions and read your email with your browser via a webmail interface, guess what happens also with your mnemonic recovery words when you open your "worst backup email" to check if it's still there!

You got the memo? DO NOT backup your mnemonic recovery words in any way online. Online storage is basically someone else's computers.

I have experienced the same thing several times, which is accidentally deleting some important files or data on my drive storage, but fortunately I found the right recovery application at that time and it turned out that some of the files that had just been deleted could still be restored, the application I used was the one with a name starting with the letter "R" which has a yellow logo and a drive image. So the point is when we have just deleted a file, there is still a possibility that the file or data we deleted can be restored, because I see that in each partition there is a sector where the sector will soon be replaced by other data, and if the sector has been overwritten, then it is difficult for our old data to be restored.

It may not be possible to recover what you have lost. If it was possible, you would have done it long ago, as you mentioned here, you tried a lot but you could not recover. If it were me, I would have done the same because I would have tried my best to recover 7 Bitcoins, which is a huge store of value. But if you are aware, it will not be enough, every investor and user should be aware here because this mistake will create a situation like yours in the future. I have kept my wallet seed very safe, even if my mobile device has a problem for some reason, I will definitely be able to recover it later and this is what every investor and user should do.

OP which software did you use to recover your funds?

I have good experience with Recuva software, which I used to recover data from non functional memory sticks.

Software is free and it did job better than payed solutions.
File names come out scrambled, but file content was readable.

If you did not used that software give it a go and try it out and tell us your experience.

Best luck!
