Actually this happens in almost every sport, whether it’s football, basketball, or boxing. That’s just how things are now.

i do not think wanting to get a higher salary is an indication of not being passionate enough about the sport even ronaldo and messi had high, if not the highest salaries. it is only normal for an athlete or anyone really to want to feel valued this is their source of income anyway and sometimes the higher the pay the better they play and it is because they feel that they are welcomed and appreciated in the club

It seems to me that passion and desire to have fun in gambling and passion in big sports are very different things. I think that a football player who plays with pleasure, loves football and literally can not think about anything except football, is a great player who will achieve great results, which we see in the example of Messi and Ronaldo. But those who came to football for the sake of big money will never be able to play so well. But in gambling, any goal, be it money or fun, will ultimately lead to trouble. There are no old days in which some completely different people lived. It was all the same. There has always been a desire to earn money. Do you probably mean that the desire to earn money is already so dominant as motivation that it damages entertainment or football itself in general? If so, it's a subjective impression. The only harm that comes from the desire to earn money as the dominant motivation is match-fixing.

i am pretty sure that yes they do like to play in the big clubs for a lot of reasons and good money is one of them why would these athletes be playing football in the first place if there was no interest? obviously they grew up wanting to play football but now as adults they also need to think about how they could sustain their lifestyles and that is by working

being able to do what you are passionate about while getting large income is a privilege that a lot of these athletes have

Even in Europe the players there right now don't play for passion, the era for passion for football career has long gone. When every player wants to play in a big club like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester city, PSG, Barcelona Liverpool etc, it is not about the big club but that they know they will get better paycheck there than where they currently play. What made you think Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United to Real Madrid? Or Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona to PSG? It wasn't just about passion but the paycheck compared was enticing than that of their current club. So it wasn't until they left for Saudi Pro league or Inter Miami.

Actually there's no exemption to this because in other sports on which this is really just that the same on which we are already seeing these contracts or simply in money talks. Passion is there but money is far more important. End of an era? We do know that if there's an end then there's a new one coming and the cycle continues. About rising paychecks then it isnt shocking or something new and there are those who do stay into their clubs/teams or with those who had decided to transferred out into other just because of that very common reason on which on having that higher contract amount on which its common sense that they will really be giving out that priority.

Although not all athlete would really be that something like this on which there are still who do stayed up into their club or teams no matter what and this is what you can say about loyalty on which this one really fits out. For us solid fans then we will really be just that simply be trying out to follow whenever these favorite idols be transferring into and this has become that a casual thing on sports world. I think it's pretty obvious that players wanted to be paid that much, have a big paycheck that is commensurate with their talents. And you have to imagine that some of  them really didn't come from a good family or at least poor in the beginning.

But the thing is that there are players that gives back to their community when they start to earn millions.

So I guess you can't blame them, and they still have the passion to play though, not just to chase that big paychecks.

Are you familiar with the saying, "money is the root of all evil"? If so, then thats the trigger. We cant really exclude players not playing for money, it would be hypocrite to say they arent. Almost all playing for those sake too but there are few, isnt satisfy with that but jumping to more money opportunity instead of livung their passion.

That is because the attracting of money which makes many things change and we can not deny that happens in many aspects not just in sports, betting, or other things. It's not about loyal anymore but it is more than that and if we see the money that flows in that business, we may shock and that makes those people chase where the money flows. If they can make more and more money, that will be good for them as they can achieve their goals to have much money. We can only see what will happen after this and maybe the new era will come and change everything.

This now tells you that it is now for the money and the better packages to get the football players services on either their existing clubs or the new club. If a player is asking for renew contract then they won't stay on the previous terms and therefore, the new terms must be favourable to them before they stay or leave for better payment and comfort.

The era of playing with bigger jersey where players looked like Santa  has gone to modern outlook that defeat the current technological play, we didn't have VAR then but we do now which shows that passion has more with monetary value which can entice players that still have more active years to play in top league and consider going to play in Saudi Arabia, qatar, China, America. They consider such countries for the monetary value not passion and so many players have done that like Benzema, Sadio Mane , N'Golo Kante, Cristiano Ronaldo, Asamoah Gyan, Mario Suarez, Kanoute, Obafemi Martins, Neymar Jr, Lionel Messi etc.

Money and Passion works together. If players only play for fun and not getting reward for their effort and skill applied in playing football, then maybe they will only end up in their respective villages. People increase in skill and Passion when they know playing well will make them to change club and earn higher. What I staying in essence is that money motivate a person to showcase his passion and this will gradually make him achieve his dream.

If you have the skill and you are good, I see nothing wrong in trying to find the best pay. Sports is not just about the money, it's the passion in it that keeps these players strong till they archive success and become very good in their field. People like Ronaldo Messi and others, started at a young age, so it's not because they wanted the money, but they enjoyed what they had as a skill. They worked on it and grew it into something big. They can choose who to offer and who not to offer their skill so it's just like that mate...

Clearly different because in the past the players tried to be the best by really showing outstanding playing qualities and making big contribution to each team they played for so that they could become stars football, all for proof and career achievement.
In now era, players especially those at younger age, definitely prioritize pay because from the start their goals was to be able to make large amounts of money as player, on average they don't really care about proving that they can become the best player after being able to earn high salary.
