Let's reminisce on our Gambling Journey, was it worth it?

Many people interest playing gambling because they want to make money from gambling. They don't realize that make money from gambling is not easy. Only for lucky people who can win the money.

It is normal if we still see many people trying to gambling and win the money because that is the temptation from gambling that attract them to keep coming back to gambling. I am not a success person in gambling. I am still learn more about self control and trying to be a responsible gambler.

My mistake in the past made me learned more about self control so I don't have to face more losses. I don't want to have the bad experience like before so I still use self control, limitation, and trying to be responsible when playing gambling.

I am absolutely sure that I lost more than I won, but I would not say that it is too much. Even taking this into account, I do not regret that I got acquainted with gambling, it was interesting for me to play and occupy my time in excitement, watching the games of my favorite teams. Now my excitement has died down and I can easily take long breaks if I consider it necessary. In addition, I learned a lot about the psychology of players, what they are ready to do for the sake of the game. In addition, I really liked making predictions and checking them with my money, it is absolutely not the same as doing it for no reason. I hope that this skill of forecasting, calculating the probabilities of an event, collecting statistics will still be useful to me in life. I have always loved such things.

Honestly, my gambling journey isn’t a huge deal, I just treat it like any other regular activity and have some fun. I don't spend endless hours gambling because, with sports betting, you can place a few bets quickly on your phone or computer. It’s pretty normal for me now, probably because I’ve learned to be a responsible gambler.

The best time I remember was when I won a big parlay, but since I ended up losing most of the time on parlays, I stopped doing them and now focus on simpler bets like moneyline odds and point spreads.

If this has really been your experience then it's indeed a regular activity. Most of us can't reflect back on our gambling journey and say this because we have made a lot of mistakes. Personally, my gambling journey wasn't worth it in any way, I lost a lot that gave me PTSD for a while. This is one of the main reason why I quit playing casino games, it's hard to be a responsible gambler with casino games. If I had focused more on sports betting perhaps the losses wouldn't have amounted to so much. One way to cut down your gambling addiction is just sticking to sports betting and this is what I've learnt over the years.

But addiction can come from any game we play including sports betting, and since sports betting is a billion-dollar industry, probably the biggest in gambling, so it’s no surprise that many gamblers are hooked, wagering huge amounts of money. But the good thing is, we can manage it,  and at the end of the day, it’s best to enjoy our gambling activities, even if the reality is that we lose money more often than we win.

Yes I have win severely though I don't like sharing here as I don't want my gambling activities to be that serious over here, I am just regulating my activities and how others should know about my gambling activities over here and outside this forum. Anyone who must win for long term should learn to control their taste and desire to make winning and, one thing I noticed from gambling is is that the time you so much focused on winning then you get nothing but when you didn't expect any serious winning or not even channeling your efforts on a specific amount of winning then you see it coming that easily.

My biggest is 1500$ from a 1000$ bet on Blackjack. I all-in my bankroll out of frustration since I’m already down with 1000$ at that time so recover my loss or nothing until I hit a blackjack that gives me 500$ despite I’m at loss already.

Most of my gambling experience is play responsibly and only rare occasions I gamble with emotions is high so overall all I can say is I gamble properly since I never suffered devastating loss.

I have a good time on my casual gambling experience.

My gambling journey has been wins and losses but starting out it was more of losing streak. I had to figure out what games I like betting on, figure out my game payroll, figure out my purpose for gambling, am I gambling for profit or I need to take off my mind from gambling for winning millions every time and just play for fun then when the wins come along I rejoice.

So the journey was redefining myself as I go, choosing my games, choosing my gambling time, working on responsible gambling over and over again because it doesn't happen in one day, you say I won't play after this last game then you see yourself playing again and again. The journey has just been a transforming process from starting out, having heart attacks especially during sport betting when I'm watching the game and  waiting on my bet not to crash to playing games now with amount that I know I can lose or they are spare cash and I'm not so emotionally attached to the games again.

Betting now is for me is for relaxing and chilling with friends now than chasing profit that can lead you to addictive gambling because gambling is a game of luck and we have to remember that all the time.

That inspired me to give it a try and along the line the things I read on this forum also  helped me learn to play responsibly. Sure, I’ve had my fair share of bad decisions, but overall, I’ve managed to stay in control.

The case is almost similar that I was tempted by my friend who gambled and won a big victory and it made me curious, which in the end until now still gambled, for the phase as a gambler where when I had an impulsive spirit I had experienced it which in the end could manage gambling quite well To this day.

I have never shared a big story in the forum because if there is something bigger than me it feels embarrassed and only be laughing if I consider it big, but in my opinion in the victory in gambling never experience it, but maybe not as big as you get. LOL

That is true. Better secure your privacy as you don't know who's reading what you are posting here. As we have seen, there are so many scammers these days. They are just waiting for someone to make mistake and for sure, they will attack once they have something substantial on their hand.

It's been quite a long time since I started gambling and for a truth it's been a rollercoaster of emotions,  wins, losses fun nd sometimes sadness but in all it's really worth it s it's a journey I have enjoyed because there have been times when I have been so lucky and I got it all figured out and there has also been times when I aswell lost track too and came back,  Al of this put together made it a worthwhile journey that I'm not regretting for any reason.

If your gambling journey did not put you in a terrible situation but more on the positive side, then, I would say, there's nothing to worry about your gambling life. People will start having trouble in gambling when they start losing more than what they can afford and opting to taking loans and more.

I don't know if that would count as gambling, anyway. My first experience in this game would be when I staked a few Satoshi on a doubling site as a noob, hoping to win. I won the first time. I doubled my stake and then in a second time but that went with the wind. I kept refreshing my wallet, hoping the payment would appear until it dawned on me that I had been played. As for a major win, nah I haven't had any yet since then. Well, maybe it's because I'm not an active gambler per se that's why I haven't won anything big yet.

I think I remember bagged 800usd as my biggest on gambling but those are eaten away by some fo the games I played...

If I ever won something that big, I would first get myself something remarkable from that money before ever betting on any games again. I know gambling isn't stable and can't be counted as a source of income. It's not reliable. So, such a win should look like a breakthrough and I wouldn't want to waste it and regret not doing something I would look back at and smile.

Pretty sure people who working on centralized exchanges might know about "us" because they know the address we made deposit and if they search it on google, they high likely will find us. You know, centralized exchanges have mandatory KYC rules, that's why I said they know us.

It's only when I am facing difficulties or didn't understand any options I want to pick, maybe on my own I had already picked and when the results turns out to be negative that is when you would see me seeking opinions to know how those options works, this is to build me more better if I want to place any other bet I would know which option that best suits for that particular match after haven checked their formation, previous matches on how they played. Usually, I am always picky(very selective), like picking those matches I know they easily scores while the match is running you can know that such team can at least have 1 goal or above, when you are sure of that team generating at least a goal on their match you could bet on them, time doesn't permit me to keep following up much of the football discussions.

Talking about when I first started gambling, my first online gambling was on a pay-to-click platform; I don't remember the name of it. It was a platform where you would do certain activities to get points, and then those points would be used to earn us ads that we could watch to get USD. They later introduced games that you could either play with points or money. The first game they had was CoinFlip, where you choose either heads or tails, and you get a 98% return for choosing the correct one.

I started playing that game, and then they introduced a dice or high-low game; I played that too, and even used to apply the martingale strategy so that I don't lose my points. I started getting addicted to the game, and I wasn't earning anything anymore because I would gamble all my points away. After some time, I realized that I was doing something wrong because I used to lose my balance because of using the martingale strategy. I stopped doing it then.

Later, I started real gambling on Stake when it was first launched, but I then was already a responsible gambler.

All winning streaks end sooner or later, but of course no one knows when it will happen. Even professionals can be knocked out by a losing streak, given that they followed their money management. However, I am glad that you are on a winning streak, the main thing is not to despair if it ends and not to become greedy for money that can be won more, this usually leads to bad consequences.

As for my biggest win, it was a long time ago, and it was several wins in a row in sports betting on hockey with high odds, not very strong teams, where it was extremely difficult to determine the winner. It was not the NHL. In general, I liked it and I was very happy, this has not happened again, but someday I will be able to do it again.

Almost all people are like that. Only few are very lucky to still ahead of the casino but they must not abuse these luck if they don't want their stats to change later on. This sound good and bad. I guess it is because like I said earlier, you are not an addict gambler but if you can use the time on much better things, I think that is still much better as well.

If I scale my winning and losses it will not be worth it for me as I have mostly incurred more losses than winning so that feeling of satisfaction as a winning gambler is not there anymore because of this factor.


Gambling is worth it when you have a record of jackpots and big winnings as you have mentioned, but then even though I am not gambling for money or fun, is still doesn't make sense to me and there is no fun without winnings.


So I can easily say that I have a rough gambling experience but the future holds better things and I look forward to the better days when I will have my share of the luck factor to win something big.
