Keep in mind that no one here offered a trading service or any trading mediation for a fee or asked for investors. Someone was just bragging about it without expecting any compensation. That's why there are no elements of scams or Ponzi schemes.

I'm about to start handing out tags to people in the following thread who say it's easy to get 2-5% daily returns from trading.

Obviously they would be neutral tags (for shitposting and misleading people) but I can imagine people complaining on this section and sending me PMs to remove them.

I basically explain to them why it's not like that and they still insist that it's easy for a trader to get 2-5% daily. I have based my rebuttal on the 2% daily scenario but to claim, and insist, that it is easy to get 5% daily in trading is to be an asshole basically.

Of course none of them have provided evidence that they are getting that ‘easy’ profitability.

Tagging people for comment, their opinion, which was sought on the OP of that thread, is strange (DT rule didn't say members should be tag for their opinion) and directly you are telling them not to make comment when they see a thread they have an idea or experience about.

In that topic I created, I didn't say newbies, I remember I said, "I know we have some good traders on this forum, and this question is directly to you guys."

My question was directly to any experience traders on the forum, and they had the rights to tell me if they agree or they disagree with the idea of 2% daily, and also share their experience in their trading career.

Trading have principles and strategies, if anyone said they can make 2% or 5% daily, and perhaps you are not comfortable with that because you strongly believe it's impossible, then you have to ask them to show you a little evidence of their success rate or they should explain their strategy. Going ahead to tag them, is abuse of your DT role.  You don't shut up people's opinion based on experience, you ask them to explain more and show some proof, that's what true discussion is about, not handing tags. What the fuck!?

In my topic, I don't remember saying, I have been making 2 - 5% daily, my target is usually way higher than that, which i don't get to win my trades every day.  So, if someone said that they have been getting the 2% daily, simply seek to know their strategy and show you their result.  I have never been shy to show my trading result here, when I win, when I lose, when I blow accounts, I share it.

This is a forum with at least some level of free speech, which is why you shouldn't take everything you read online as 100% true without doing your research.
Tagging people for comments in a forum is quite inappropriate and you should be removed from DT for proposing possible abuse against other forum members.

I don't know why you get so nervous about the possibility of neutral tags. Do you have your alt commenting on that thread?

It seems to me that I know it  better than you do.

• Use Neutral feedback for anything that doesn't mean someone can or can't be trusted. This can be good feedback, for instance when someone helped you out.
• I think Neutral Feedback is currently undervalued on Bitcointalk. It's a great tool to de-escalate without drastic consequences. Please use it when appropriate.

They are not personal opinions they are pure shitposting without a real basis that can mislead people who don't know about it to get into trading because of those opinions. Let alone the ones that say it's easy to get it with leverage.

Tags on the forums trust network are intended for trace. If someone offers a service that is misleading they are warranted for a neutral tag in my opinion.

For trade are the positives and negatives (you can use neutral much widely) and someone offering a “service” that offers 2% daily (let alone 5%) I will red tag him.

• If you see a particular trader who claims they make 5% profit daily and they created thread for it in other to lure naive investors to scam, you are free to leave a neutral trust. This is what The free market capitalist call the preventive measure.
• But if it is only about a debate in a generic thread, handing a neutral tag will mean you are using your DT power to suppress others and influence their opinion, which is pretty what a few DT members do here. I don't find that to be a good way to use the DT strength.

I don't see it that way. As I said, if someone offers that service I will red tag them. So it is reasonable to think of neutral tags for those who defend such nonsense.

You could also ask them to clarify what they mean.     It's easy to get a 5% return on a single day but it's also easy to lose that 5%. 

Clearly, they are talking about easy daily returns, which we can understand as an average of between 2% and 5% per day.

I also wouldn't give out tags for this.

The difference in whether or not returns are generated via scam is if they are fixed, consistent, or varying.

Fixed = the biggest red flag.
Consistent = maybe they know what they're doing.
Varying = the most honest response... "We may make money, but there's a chance we could lose it as well."

In the thread in question, the OP could be referring to an average across weeks, months, or years. They didn't say anything about the return being compounded daily;

I think if someone can make profit for 20 days without losing, I think that is enough. It will not be on my main trading account but on another account of mine which I am not using. I'm thinking of conditions like you having to post screnshots or evidence that I consider credible after a short time after making the trades. Also that you will have to make a minimum number of trades per day, the 20 days. You can't if your account goes up to $40 on day 8 to stop the trades. Things like that. The question of seeking escrow is so far out of the question that I hadn't even thought about it.

You are calculating compound interest, while he is calculating simple interest, which in 100 days would be $200 (so it is easier to understand how he thinks the things he thinks).

If I make the $2 profit from 1 opened position, that should be valid.
If I make the $2 from more than 2 opened positions, that should also be valid
The number of positions I opened daily to make it up to $2 suppose not to matter

I will screenshot the daily stas.
I will show all the positions that I make the money from.

I will use up to 5x leverage because the money is small.
I can use any amount from the $100 to trade

I can trade bitcoin, altcoins, shit coins and any coins or token that I see the possibility of making profit from.

But what that is most important is to show evidences that I actually opened and closed positions and make $2 daily profit. I will do the report daily.
