Maybe relocating to a rural area far away from the population of cities will be a good option. The rural areas bring you close to nature. The peace that the green plants, animals, rivers, and others bring is priceless. I don't know why people are advising retirees to stay away from technology because I intend to still work part-time remotely. Starting a social media channel to document my rural life as well as counseling services will be a viable hobby.

Sounds like a really good idea, it’s definitely a much lower level of stress being far away from the city. I definitely think retirees should do their best to keep up with fast changing tech, it’s good to be able to adapt to tech changes etc. Good luck with the social media channel if you decide to go ahead with it.

It is very important to adapt to these changes and live a meaningful life. Do not fear this time enjoy every moment of life and live a meaningful life.

If you take your health serious and eat healthy food through out your youth age, I guess you will experience good health in your old age which is what many people want for their future picture to look like when old age occur.

We all will eventually leave this earth and it's important that we our impact is felt before we do. Most people spend their whole life chasing money and only helping theirself and family without really impacting lives. You don't need all the millions I'm the world to do that. People forget little things like integrity, what would you be known for? As you are aging and approaching death always remember that you won't come back here again so you need to do something that you would be remembered for. Focus on your religion, and try as much as you can to be a good person.

1. Never forget worship, put religion higher than money.
2. Obey with everything on bible, quran or any other scripture.
3. Make your family and other people happy.

These are enough, you don't have to think about anything because no one know when people will pass away. Today we can be healthy, but no one know about tomorrow. That's why, as long as you live you're doing good for humanity and spiritual, there's no reason to worry about death, because you're always ready in any situation.

You made  lot of sense, but how would you know that you're in the right religion that could help you in aging gracefully and with dignity as the OP stated? What if you're in a family made up of terrible people you don't care to make happy? In fact, age and death are eternal truths of man and apply to all living beings. There is no process to reduce aging so aging and eventually dying is something we have to do without any extra procedures or lifestyle changes. No extra tension is needed for people to change their lifestyle as per their age.  It should be remembered that birth is one day and death is one day.

Aging and death are two inevitable outcomes that many of us shies away from, we're too afraid to think about or discuss it because it's mostly unpleasant to us.

like you said i also think that aging is a privilege when you reach a certain age a lot of people tend to get shy of their old age but it is only a show of resilience and blessing in my opinion

not a lot of people reach 30, 40 and even 50 so if you do reach that point then you should focus on the good thing and instead enjoy life i notice that when you do not let your age dictate what you should be doing or not be doing you will enjoy life more

It’s not a nice topic to talk about but my thoughts are you should just enjoy life as much as possible. If an older person enjoys life without embracing new technology then whatever, good for them. We are not alive for aclong time really so it’s just best to live life to the fullest, whatever that may involve.

Any religion is good because it teach the fellow how to be good and not doing bad.

If you want to gain dignity, you must be rich because almost all people value money over anything. Unfortunately earning money without breaking the religion laws is almost impossible.

So, it's hard, you have to choose either die with peaceful life or die with dignity.

When people die, they leave everything of this life. It's as though this life had never happened for them. They will never return to anything here. This means that this whole life is ultimately useless and meaningless. The point that remains is to believe in God (especially Jesus for salvation). Because, though we all die here, we never die to God, in the eyes of God. He holds us alive in Himself, but He will reject all those Who do not accept Jesus-salvation.

Not all old people, but old people in general sense have always struggled to keep up with new technology. I have helped my parents with it, and my kids are old enough doing that to me now. This has been the order of things probably way before the industrialization revolution.

When someone grows up having technology available their whole life, they learn it natively, compared to people who have learned to live without it in the past. They often even rebel against it, because it's something new to get used to. Which in their opinion should be optional.

But what's dignity to you? People are social animals who rely on groups keeping them alive. No matter if you are old, blind, or have an MS disease, dignity for your life is provided by government and people who can help you. When you are in a state, where you aren't able to take care of yourself anymore, where you are too old to understand the tech, your dignity isn't your responsibility anymore.
