I've been hearing a lot about Trump and other world leaders, big corporations, and countries and how they can impact Bitcoin and make it grow. While I agree that these people can impact Bitcoin, Bitcoin does not revolve around them.

Bitcoin has grown so much without a federal reserve from the US or China. In less than 15 years bitcoin got a market cap of over $1 trillion without having presidents pushing for it or a leading economy having a bitcoin reserve, so why does it now seem like without these people or these things bitcoin can't get bigger than it is currently?.

Well I think it's vice versa Bitcoin needs them to survive like in the aspects of widespreading across nations and the needd for massive adoption and as well making it a legal tender for easy access so then this leaders and corporation can actually make it happen and in the other hand they also need Bitcoin , so it's a two way thing just as you need food to survive that's how that food needs to grow beyond where it is so when you make recommendation for it it grows and become widespread across nations that's how Bitcoin is and the leaders in the context. Yes it can actually grow without a reserve or anyone pushing it.

Yeah technically it's true, having governments or presidents who support Bitcoin do give impact to Bitcoin, but it just to speed-up the adoption.

If they didn't support Bitcoin, Bitcoin should've getting bigger too, but it may not as big as now. We can check Monero, the coin has been delisted by many centralized exchanges, it's only listed in few top exchanges and other smaller exchanges.

Instead of falling, the price tend to rise recently, even though breaking the previous ATH seems hard and require many years.

Bitcoin has grown so much without a federal reserve from the US or China. In less than 15 years bitcoin got a market cap of over $1 trillion without having presidents pushing for it or a leading economy having a bitcoin reserve, so why does it now seem like without these people or these things bitcoin can't get bigger than it is currently? Bitcoin got to this level in a time when there were so many regulations and scepticism, a time when some people made it their side hustle to make sure they shit on bitcoin, despite all these, bitcoin soared.

The point I'm trying to make is that Bitcoin will keep growing and getting bigger without reserves so we shouldn't see these things or people as the authors and finishers of bitcoin. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware of the significance of a bitcoin reserve in the US, but bitcoin doesn't need a reserve to succeed. It simply needs the market to keep trusting in it. Even with a reserve and people don't trust it, it will be worthless.
The reason for the talk of reserves and the reason for big corporations getting into bitcoin is to make a profit, which means they need bitcoin to make a profit, but bitcoin doesn't need them to grow and that's why I said they need bitcoin more than bitcoin needs them.
Yes I was also having similar thoughts because the way many where going about Donald Trumps and bitcoin, his promises during his campaign. How he is going to influence bitcoin price and other stuff, leaves me to be wondering if bitcoin has been going up as results of individual or some few sets of people that develop interest in it. No doubt there was actually a great correction in price after Donald Trump won the election so it possible that bitcoin won't have gotten to that price without us president involvement.

Because of the reasons that you have listed above, it is the perfect answer to why many countries governments and many individuals have been seeing bitcoin as a perfect tool for illicit activity, which is not exactly what bitcoin is for, and you make it sound as if bitcoin is only meant to be used for illegal activities; those who choose to use it for such purposes are on them, but aside from hiding black money, as you called it, anyone with pure intentions uses bitcoin for privacy reasons.
The thing is, illegal activities can be done even just with fiat. The world has survived for so long without digital currencies and yet illegal transactions and money laundering schemes have always existed. Maybe it’s only made it easier but the truth is just like in fiat not everyone is going to be using cryptocurrencies for illegal transactions.

This generalization needs to stop and hopefully with the popularity rise of bitcoin, people stop the stigma and they start being informed.

.... but bitcoin doesn't need them to grow and that's why I said they need bitcoin more than bitcoin needs them.

Frankly, I don't think they need bitcoin any more than bitcoin needs them. I think they both need each other because bitcoin wouldn't be as popular as it is today if it was banned by the government and they need bitcoin because they want profits, they want taxes.

Over the past 16 years, bitcoin has been able to grow and become popular without the support of any president or government. But you shouldn't deny the fact that the US government has never issued a ban on bitcoin and thanks to that, bitcoin has been able to develop freely until now. But if they banned bitcoin like China did, do you think bitcoin would become as popular as it is today? I believe you also know how serious the consequences would be if the United States banned bitcoin, so we should not deceive ourselves and deny the role of the government in the development of bitcoin.

Mixers and Monero may not be as big as bitcoin but they also had their heyday in the past when there was no government interference or ban. But what about now? They have almost no future with the government ban, so don't underestimate their power when this world is under their control.

That stigma is usually used by those who want things to stay the way they are.
And these people are most likely the part of these schemes we are talking about, which is truly ironical here.

Even though governments and big companies can affect bitcoin, it doesn't rely on them to succeed. Bitcoin has kept growing despite challenges showing that its future depends on people's trust not any financial backing.

That's why it's going to exist even in the years and decades to come.

Bitcoin became more valuable when Donald Trump publicly announced his interest to invest in the mother coin during the Us election presidential campaign -and occurrence that I think strongly suggests that Bitcoin will gain more value than it currently have if other world leaders decides to follow suit. That said, Bitcoin as we know is decentralized and as such, with or without government approval, Bitcoin will continue to thrive but I think it'll do better when the world leaders decides to buy the idea of approving the use of Bitcoin as a legal tender in all nations of the world.

Bitcoin has already shown it can grow without needing government or corporate support. It reached a $1 trillion market cap all on its own, providing its strength comes from the trust people have in it not from any external backing. As long as people believe in bitcoin, it will keep growing.

Another attestation was that when China banned the use of bitcoin, a big economy trying to influence the decision of the market. And yet, this currency continues to proliferate and expand without the interruption of any country. We can say, bitcoin or the crypto market can truly withstand on its own, even without the politicians or the government supporting on it.
So either they will join this market or be left behind by this digital market. Coming into this market is not obligatory as it is your own choice whether to utilize this market or not.

Bitcoin indeed have been doing it on its own, government have hated it for long and now are trying to tap and enjoy the benefit it offer from it which is the profit they can make from it, the government are throughly the ones who needs bitcoin and want to make something out of it, as Bitcoin have proven himself over the past years.
