You can't be looking for some urgent profits and you rely on investing to give you that when there's trading that was made for that purpose. Looking for urgent money isn't always good but there are sometimes that you'll be in need of some money to get yourself something and trading can give you that money faster.

I don't see any problem in doing the two but you should have your priorities right and know what you're doing because you can't be looking for a long term profits and be trading, you can't be profitable for long in trading but you can get that when investing.
