This is a question that answers will be based on preference and the decision or the reason that will make someone choose one all over the other is usually personal and unique to them, doesn't make one better than the other because they appeal to different audience. I personally would play slot over sports betting because it is easier for me, maybe my gender has an influence on that.

I agree most people go for what's trending, I think only OGs or hardcore are prefer to play dice over slots.

Yeah technically sports is better than slots, but slots sometime can be profitable too if you gamble during contest. So, if you're not lucky with your gambling results, you might be lucky in contest, although there's no guarantee you will win either one.

Without a doubt, I prefer slots than sports betting because I can feel the enjoyment more while playing slot than sports betting.
For more specific reason, I can bet small amount on slots with a various chance of multiplier on every single spin while sports is fixed one.
The other reason is that I do not really like to do some researches to gain information about the matches I'm going to bet or in other words slots is much simpler to play while sports needs more efforts.

I like slots better than sports betting because I don't need to develop a skill over time for it. Therefore I spend less time on it than I would on analyzing games and reading up on both teams. Basing up on my own then i would be saying that slots does have:

• Fancy images/icons
•Interesting and boosting sounds effects
•Huge multipliers
•Instant results plus with having synchronous effects that adds up some adrenaline

I bet on both, although Slot games are more about fun for me. Unlike sports betting which makes me quite serious in analyzing the odds. But I enjoy sports betting more, maybe because the odds are good enough for us.

It either a lot of people are not interested in sports betting or it has something to do with entertainment and the "reward system" in our brain, believe it or not, different gambling games affect our brains differently. anyway, if you compare both of these gambling games, slots give more frequent rewards which trigger the "reward system" in our brain and couple that with the engagement and sensory stimulation you get on slot games(which is entertainment), it's no wonder a lot of people enjoy slots more than sports betting.

I play both, but if you ask me which of them I prefer I’ll definitely choose slots and that’s because it’s more fun playing slots games than when you’re betting on sports so I believe this is also the reason why many people go for slots games despite the fact that they have a better chance of winning in sports betting as long as they know their onions.

I cant agree with OP that slots have been insanely popular lately. I see that sports betting is way more popular than slots. If in the past I saw lots of slots machines everywhere, then now I often notice sports betting ads, casinos that are focused more on sports betting are sponsors of sport clubs, tv shows and etc. And sports betting today imo give more entertainment that slots. I think I can say that slots are more boring than sports betting, and comparing only those two, sports betting has much larger fun base and popularity today.

How are people enjoying parley? They can go for 10 matches. How do they have the time for something like that? It is not fun for me at all. If it is casino games, just enter the casino url and access the game that you want to gamble with. It is fun that way. Betting is not fun at all but gambling is fun.

Also know that not everyone that know how to analyze matches. Some people just see sport betting like gambling.
