The user Nakamura12 has sent PM to atleast 8 people in this thread. This means that if this thread remains open for the next 24hrs, more people could surface.
He might think it is easier to scam 100 people $10 each than scamming one person $100.

I just realized that I also got a PM from @nakamura12 yesterday. But the amount is different, he sent me a PM regarding $10, not $5.
I'm not sure, but there is a possibility that he has sent a PM to another user. Seeing the small amount requested, he should be able to get a loan from a friend or relative around him. However, I don't understand @nakamura12's current situation. If he is in financial trouble, hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

Thanks for highlight the issue. I have received the same request (twice, even after I confirmed to the users that I am not providing loan).

Also, you have sent a message to me via bitcointalk as well as on telegram. But I think you should not do that. If you need any loan then you must have to post on the thread (my thread) or any other open lending thread or open a new topic on the lending board. Other then this the private message that you send should be considered as unsolicited pm.

looks like he just went on a spam spree asking for a few $, as i also got a message from him in pm and telegram asking for to borrow $10.

I received the same begging message from him and I decided to ignore it, but I was very close to report it to moderators.
He probably mass sent the same message to many members and this is considered as spam, but than he sent me second message with text CANCEL 
I don't know if account changed owner or maybe it was hacked, but he is now added to my ignore list.

Can any of you count how many messages these are?  I think I'm the person who has received the most messages from this member asking for a loan. 

He isn't my friend or client. He didn't contact me before so I don't know nakamura12. Yesterday he's sent messages asking for $15 loan. He's sent btc eth & trc-20 addresses to receive. I said I wouldn't. He tried to convince me but I didn't agree. It's suspicious so I asked him to make a loan topic it's how shasan gave the loan. How many ppl did he ask ?

Nope!  If the first message I get regarding something like this is through Telegram, I automatically think it's a scam.  I would much rather get a PM here on the forum to initiate a deal.  If further communication is needed, then we can move to a more convenient method.  Finalizing deals should also be done exclusively via PM.

This is the reason why I don't use telegram or discord for because people will think that I am going to scam them when it's not what I want to do. Thanks a lot DireWolfM14 for providing this information. I learned my share of lesson to be honest and I am glad that OP did open this thread. As you have said, I am not sending PMs for a handout but to borrow and pay once I have money to pay back.

I am confirming that I have received a message from Telegram and the user must have a Telegram https://t.me/itsmenakamura12 and we have several time messages on there from January 2024.

As we have had contact for more than a year and the contact is from the same telegram account I think the account has not been handed over. However, I do not understand why the user takes a small loan and why sends the same message to multiple people, and why s/he is usually late though the user is in a signature campaign.

You misunderstood what I meant. It's about not using telegram but not preferred using telegram for such deals like loans and such because I know there's a lot of scammer using telegram and not about not ever using telegram.


Edit: If you haven't noticed I quoted direwolf when he posted about pms on telegram and that's why I said I never use telegram and I said I don't use telegram for deals and such and not.about not using telegram so that's my guess why you think I lied.

Considering that the user we are talking about already has a history marked with loans, it somehow doesn't seem to me that the account changed hands, but that he was just in a panic to get the desired amount as soon as possible. However, if someone does some research, it might turn out that you were right.

Okay got it. Won't do it again. I did it since I lack the said amount but it's all good now after I got a loan from shasan.

I suggest that you should reach someone through their telegram/discord etc instead, I would say sending PM in this forum is like the last resort to contact someone especially it has no correlation to the person you contacted.

After you sent PM to Lafu and then you got the money from shasan, have you send PM to Lafu again for confirming you no longer interested with the money? because if you didn't confirm, people think you're still looking for.

Don't advise Forum members to make use of a third-party messaging system to communicate something as serious as this, since the Forum has a system in place called PM so that the user is not wrong by sending a forum pm to his potential lender, but my concern is contacting someone that you have no prior discussions or relationships with is somewhat very wrong thing to do and I advise the guy to stay off from doing so, following the right loan application is best, he could have made a thread to request any forum members willing to offer his the $5 loan this could have been the fastest way to get the help instead reaching strangers via pm asking for loans.

The amounts are small so I don't think it's an exit scam for $10 & $15 loans. If he's desperate for loans he should've asked lenders to help him. He's getting paid in a sig campaign so sending messages to ppl he doesn't know to ask for funds isn't acceptable.

Begging is a violation of Bitcointalk’s rules and can result in account ban. So I wouldn’t be surprised if this account gets banned soon, as it appears to be begging.

@Lucius It could be. Imagine if he gathered 5–10 people with that $15 loan and didn’t pay it back. That’s about $150 in default loan, which we can see happening with other users defaulted loan as well. The best way to deal with him, if he isn’t banned is to ignore him.

Although I don't give loans and don't like dealing with them due to their high risk,, I did it because he needed to buy medicine. He has already returned the amount I lent him, and I did not take any interest from him.

so this is why he thought it was a good idea to message random people on the forum to borrow $10, because it worked before.

i also don't think he was trying to exit scam considering the amount.
even if he managed to get 20 people to lend him $10, scamming $200 and ruining his account when he can earn much more from sig campaigns would be just stupid.

this was nothing more than a severe lack of judgment on his part.
i don't know what he needed the $10 for, but if he had just created a topic asking to borrow $10, i'm pretty sure someone would have helped him instead of risking his account getting banned or tagged.

technically, he was not begging, he was asking to borrow the money, so i don't think he broke that rule.
sending unsolicited PMs on the other hand is breaking the rules, if at least a few people report his PM, he will 100% get a temp ban minimum.

Loan asked with PM first sounded like a scam attempt to me, it would be much better for him to create a loan topic instead.
What is more suspicious to me is that he registered forum account in 2018, so we are not speaking about some newbie who don't know anything about forum rules.
I see this member have a history of asking loans, but he should finally learn proper way of doing this.

Judging by his feedback, he has a pattern of paying late for years. Instead of taking loans to fill other loans, nakamura12 should find a different solution.

I would call it shallow thinking on his side, how much does he possibly think he can gather and exit the forum that would be compared to the pays his signature campaign would give him, and more possibilities open to him as a forum member with Hero member rank? Did he forget that bitcointalk isn't a charitable organization?

Judging from the allegations against him, there were some elements of a dirty play in his conduct, I don't totally believe he needed the funds for the reason he stated, but he chose the wrong environment for his tricks. Let's all believe he learnt his lessons. He better knows that he might not be so lucky with such dirty plays next time, so he should apply wisdom henceforth.

My advice for now ist that you nakamura12 should be stop taking loans from others and just solve and finish all your current loans you have.
If you have some kind of gambling problem stop it and solve that issue.
You just making it worst if you take money from others and try to resolve your problems with that.
Also its very sad to see how much other PMs you have written to other Users and asking about the same and even more , get your life fixed.

No I didn't confirm. I never thought that people will think that I am still looking. I have my funds ready but still lack $5 so that's why I ask anyone who are willing to lend me but it seems it's not a good thing to do on my side as OP have said people will think it's phishy. It's a lesson learned for me by the way. It's a good thing that OP posted this thread for me to realize. To be honest, I am in need $5 more with the fund I have before yo buy materials for building a septic tank. Anyway, I have to start building the septic.

Hero Member rank is a respectable rank here, but begging isn't allowed on the forum. Especially through PM, asking for money is more shady if they aren't your good friend. If someone reports to admins, you would definitely get a ban. In case you need such funds, then you may ask to loan. Your hero rank would get such a loan amount without collateral. Hope you learnt, though, as a hero member, you should know the forum culture and rules.

To be honest if i would be got 1 or even more messages like that i have got i would be have report them.
Even i got not more messages from nakamura12 as i have posted or even an apologize about it i would be have reported them.

My main reason from that that Thread was not to get him banned , it was only for others that they be getting aware of it.
Things happend , but at some stage you have to step up for , on the other Hand when i see now what was going on i would say that here a Temp Ban maybe would be the Best.
Lessons teach some Users of their behalf that they have done.

Why didn't you applied directly to shasan than going to pm someone, most times it makes you lose respect and I can never pm someone begging for money instead it's better to apply for loan and wait for your loan feedback. Most time people lose their respect and reputation sourcing for a peanut from other people, besides 5$ is worthless you could get that from a physical friend who is that living close to you than sending random user pm, at first they wouldn't mind thinking your account is hacked and tag it or asking to go get sign message.
