Are you a joke or Anti Bitcoin?

Bitcoin has never been sluggish. What gave you that postulation of Bitcoin becoming outdated, don't you check around and see countries that are beginning to align with Bitcoin rights, some reserves and made payment options even how countries are on the verge of making Bitcoin legal tender. If you really think Ethereum will be better than Bitcoin in the future, just reconsider and checkmate that Ethereum price movements are linked to Bitcoin, since they are correlated, Bitcoin has what it takes to affect the price whenever.

Countries are only aligning themselves with Bitcoin because of its store of value properties. Not because it's cost-efficient or fast. Who cares, anyways? Most people don't use BTC as "digital cash", so high fees and slow confirmation times wouldn't matter. Altcoins fare better as "digital cash". But most of them are centralized and unreliable.

As it's said in the real world, "you get what you pay for". If you want top-notch security, decentralization, and reliability, choose Bitcoin. But if you want convenience, choose altcoins instead. No matter how alternative crypto projects try to compete against Bitcoin, they will never beat it because of its first-mover advantage. After all, BTC is the one crypto that started it all. With many governments, banks, and companies embracing Bitcoin, I'm sure it will last for a very long time. Cheesy

There is always a level of competition that anyone tries to play but that competition does not give any room for altcoin to beat bitcoin.
There is already a lot of evidence that we can find about bitcoin's journey that has led it to become the best so that it is enough to show how strong bitcoin is in this space.
When talking about facts, there is also a lot of evidence that can be shown why bitcoin can be the best right now.

ETH is indeed the second coin that has a fundamental level but there is no chance that it can bring down bitcoin.
Without us proving this has happened because bitcoin is still the best asset for any time.

^ ETH exists on its own and shouldn't be seen as the "BTC killer", as any other coin, if it's not its target put by the devs.

That's how I think about it.

Technically, bitcoin is a bit more outdated than altcoins when it comes to transaction speed and fees. It is true, we should not deny it and it is a fair price we have to pay for wanting a decentralized asset.

Currently, only El Salvador accepts bitcoin as legal currency, no second country has done the same. While there are also some reports that some countries are considering adding cryptocurrencies as a payment method like Russia, BTC is not their only option. Besides BTC, they also use altcoins ETH and especially stable coins.

But the truth is that no altcoin can replace or has enough power to compete with bitcoin. Bitcoin is slower and more expensive but the safest and most secure. Decentralization is what makes bitcoin unique and as long as there are no altcoins are decentralized, no one can compete with BTC.

^ BTC is so big that, of course, it's more "sluggish", it has congestion of the network sometimes when we are near ATHs, and there are many ways to improve in that matter and to transform from the ultimate store of value model.

But alts cannot offer even that, in many cases, only faster transactions and more" utility".

Lets just say into the fact that altcoins were created on trying out to beat up Bitcoin or with those top altcoins in the ranking on which this will really be their main target or goal when it comes into their existence on which this will really be just that a normal approach. When it comes into the talks about being threat then there's always the possibility because community recognition and demand will that having the possibility on having that flipping on which this is really that probable but of course knowing Bitcoin as the Father of all cryptocurrencies then it will really be that hard to believe that there would really be that flipping. Come to think that we've been already decade on this market and Bitcoin do able to maintain its position to be that on the top on which simply means that there's soo much trust and support and the ones who do make out some investment. When it comes to its features then there might be those other projects which are far more better than it but as long it do works then i dont really see any problems and thats why theres still having that strong support on which its proven out with the current position that it do have in the market on which i dont really see that it would really be that easily be replaced or overtaken into that spot. Somehow, when it comes to investment that despite on having that kind approach but still it wont really be giving out that kind of guarantee that it wont happen in the future. Always take up back up plans on which its really that been recommended. Threat or not, there's always that competition and demand will really be that easily switched up and this is that very normal. So always set up those reconsiderations on any options that you can be able to take. So everything will really be that matter on how well you do go with the flow.

1 thing about life that is constant is change, that is the first point to establish. Years before now the idea of crypto didn’t exist until change happened.
In this case of crypto space i think BTC has already established its place for a long long time, All references are drawn to it and drawn from it. Its a trademark, The other thing to take note is substantial change can only come when enough background work and I think ETH could be on the list if we’re looking out for threats as it has a large market cap and its also quite stable. It will be difficult to overthrown but life has no limits

Returning to this topic, what I can add is that Bitcoin has been a bit sluggish in making new moves and innovations, despite its prominence. In contrast, Ethereum has been at the forefront of innovations like smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). While I can’t say it will overtake Bitcoin, if anything were to, Ethereum seems like the best candidate

I think 'Anti-Bitcoin' is a strong term in this case. I believe you can actually point me to how BTC outperforms ETH in terms of innovations like smart contracts and dApps before drawing a conclusion. If you disagree, at least do some research and provide reasonable counterpoints. No altcoin can compete with Bitcoin in terms of popularity and adoption, as you rightly mentioned, but that doesn't mean there aren't improvements to be made.

BTC simply isn't adjusted to be something like ETH - it's the store of value currently, not a coin to be used for fees / other projects, as a fuel of sorts - everybody wants to hodl it and just have more of it, mostly.

But alts cannot offer even that, in many cases, only faster transactions and more" utility".

Well, that's what happens when mainstream adoption goes to the roof (high popularity). The network would get bloated with transactions, resulting in high fees and slow confirmation times. It'll be up to developers to increase the network's transaction capacity by implementing a series of upgrades (subject to the community's approval). I know Bitcoin has the Lightning Network, but I don't see it as a practical, long-term solution for the cryptocurrency's scaling problems. On-chain scaling is the way to go. Of course, it must be done in a balanced manner to help prevent Bitcoin from turning into a centralized cryptocurrency.

Many altcoins are centralized because they've sacrificed decentralization in favor of high-performance and cost-efficiency. You decide whenever you want security/reliability or convenience when making a transaction. I know many people will choose alts just to save money. Either way, don't expect them to ever become a threat to Bitcoin. Not now or in another century. "You can't beat the real thing".

I have being giving this question a thought for days now, if other altcoins can be a threat to bitcoin especially ethereum which some folks are saying is a threat to bitcoin, and I came to understand that, the reason why other altcoins can never be a threat to bitcoin is that, bitcoin being the first and largest cryptocurrency has survived external attacks and attempted ban from government, which no altcoin has face such attack, because bitcoin has already paved way for them.

My advice is not to overthink things because they won't come true in the end.
I know there may be some people or those altcoin enthusiasts who will not agree with what I said but in the end don't compare kings too much with followers because in the end things like this will only make you dizzy yourself with various kinds of speculation which in the end actually weakens your own confidence in what you did before.

Bitcoin is still bitcoin where they will still be king and altcoins will never touch bitcoin apart from following its movements including for altcoins.
We can see how ETH is moving right now, is this not the answer for you when you see the movement of ETH and bitcoin now? I don't want to suggest or make it seem as if bitcoin is better but the evidence now speaks.

I agree that Bitcoin is most popular cryptocurrency and it is hard for other coins to get more popular against it. We know that Bitcoin has long history and with time it has proven to be strong and widely accepted. Ethereum is on second number but it is still behind Bitcoin in terms of value. Ethereum has its own strengths but it is unlikely to become more popular than Bitcoin soon. Bitcoin is considered best asset because it is rare  and secure. Even when market changes it keeps its value almost stable and growing over time which is making it trusted way to store value. Because of these things it is difficult that any other cryptocurrency will become more popular than Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a unique asset in the crypto world. He was the first, went through tough tests (attacks, prohibitions, skepticism) and proved his resilience. Altcoins, including Ethereum, are developing in an already prepared environment, where bitcoin has taken the brunt of the blows.
Ethereum and other altos are solving their problems (DeFi, smart contracts, etc.), but bitcoin remains digital gold - the most reliable and recognized asset. Its value lies in decentralization, limited emissions, and the trust it has earned over the years. Even if Ethereum or other coins grow, they will not replace bitcoin, but will exist in parallel.
So the collapse of bitcoin due to alts is unlikely. He has already passed the point of no return.

bitcoin has also overcome many social and political trials, which those trials almost led to the shut down of bitcoin, yet bitcoin  gain more attention and adoption, which no altcoin has gained such attention and adoption, not even ethereum which some folks out there are saying is a threat to bitcoin.

Bitcoin has already dominated the crypto space, because it has always remained active and accessible without interruption, and to my own best of knowledge I don't think if companies like Facebook, Microsoft and Google have achieved this level of reliability which bitcoin has achieved so far, talk more of altcoins.

And I we also like to see more contributions from members of this forum, let prove to some folks out there that altcoins can never be a threat to bitcoin, because alot of folks out there are saying that ethereum will be the end and the down fall of bitcoin, which I doubt.

Being a threat to Bitcoin does not mean they'll take the global space of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is so big right now and it has the largest market share, Bitcoin is decentralized but of course there's room for competition.

Okay lets just that going back into those previous years on which Bitcoin was just starting up, on the time of its existence then the next new coin that going up next to it will definitely be basing up into Bitcoins features and becoming that something that more better. This is where on the first altcoin creation on which its that trying out to become more better on which we do know that these projects didnt end up on what they have expecting because the main thing or simply being powerful is about on community support because no matter how good your project is when it comes into those technical aspects but still it wont be giving out that guarantee that it could be overtaken by some altcoins. We've been currently existing for decade+ and no matter how altcoins do progress out but still it wont be enough on overtaking up Bitcoin into its top spot. If you do try to make out some comparison into those new coins/tokens out there then no doubt that when it comes to features and utility then it is something that more or better looking that with Bitcoin.

Being the main coin or lets say the father of all crypto coins will definitely be the reason on why Bitcoin do still sitting still on #1. It is that there are people who are that still skeptical about Bitcoins potential.
Now that we are already approaching nearly about on the bull run period then majority of us will definitely be that optimistic about the numbers that would be able to reach out or simply talks about having that immediate action on the time or moment that you do become or have seen up some opportunities then its rather worth on being mindful and thats why you do think up the other way around.

Despite the high fees faced in Bitcoin network from time to times, it has never been enough to weak Bitcoin's dominance compared to its altcoins pairs. And I guess it's due to the fact most adopters are actually investors who are focused on the long term advantages of holding Bitcoin, so the short term congestion of network doesn't impact their goals negatively.

The most important to notice is that there isn't any other cryptocurrency with the same potential of Bitcoin on long term when preserving price to your money, besides also increasing its purchasing power. At least, that is what Bitcoin history shows us, when we bring up its charts since the beginning.
