So I have come across this argument more often than necessarily recently so let me talk about it,. Women are considered to be better traders with the argument that
 1. they are better pressure absorbers and so can be more calm in face of market rationalities unlike men who are very abrupt nd quick in both decision  making and in reaction,.
2. they argued that women have the capacity to multitask and still make sure everything is in place which adds as a layer of advantage to them in the trading space and helps them to be more calm unlike men that are one thing at a time creature..lolz,.
 Well what are your thoughts? are women really better traders than men,?

I know a lady that is good in trading but I think she is just the good trading skills as an exception and not general to all ladies.
Also most ladies are not trading. Men are the ones that you will see most in trading.

Successful traders that I know but which I do not know if they have what they are doing underneath are all men. No single lady among them in my country.

I don't think so trading requires any gender specifications. Honestly speaking of my current journey I've not seen many women traders on social media, if there are many atleast they are not on the social media.

I thought there would be some facts and figures, but in response to what you've written that women are good pressure absorbers, it's a general fact that women are emotional as well, and emotion control plays a crucial role in trading.

I know successful women that are traders. I also know successful men that are traders too. The reality is that anyone can be successful in it as long as they're willing to pay the price necessary to make it work.

The 1st point says women are no quick to make decisions? Spoiler alert, some men too.

2nd points says they can multi-task. How many men can multi-task? A lot.

To me I wouldn't still mind having to argue with you based on this two things you outlined; do you know about money a woman?
Yes, they both works together and whenever you say woman you should be thinking about money. Of course they love money and they can't risk to trade longer or having to watch their capital drained from trading or investment they would source for the easiest way to secure their capital. About emotions you say? They are more emotional and can't withstand seeing things goes wrong.

Well, I do see how women react if we compare them; women are a bit more calm and have a better pressure absorber, but that doesn't mean they are better at trading.

There's no gender specificity when it comes to trading there's no evidence yet that gender affects trading activity or knowledge.
To become a successful trader, you need skill, knowledge, discipline, and psycho. Maybe some women have better trading skills, but I do also see some men have better trading skills. So trading is not based on gender, like Hamza2424 said above.

Im not a fan of making blanket statements about entire groups.  Seems to me it is more about the individual and their personal strengths.  Sure, some folks handle pressure with a cool head, while others can juggle a bunch of tasks at once.  But we all have our own unique blend of talents.  You got patient men and impatient women, same as you got clumsy dudes and graceful ladies and  trying to say one gender beats the other at something - thats stereotyping.  Like assuming every cat craves tuna every dog lives for bones.  Maybe some do, others not so much.  We are all different, women and men alike.  Trading probably takes a lot of different skills, like quick thinking, good math, and being able to stay calm. Some people are good at some of those things, and other people are good at others. So, its probably not fair to say that one group is just "better" than the other. Its more about who has the right skills and experience that comes with practice.

I have seen this argument in a couple of places with those in both sided dropping great points but the fact remains that their is no substantial data to prove these points. That is not forgetting the fact that there are far fewer female traders than male, which makes such conclusion a little difficult to accept. If you search the Internet, you will see many successful male traders with few or no female trader making it to the list. How then do we justify the claim that women are better traders than males.

I think I have to disagree that women are better traders than men. Maybe there are few women traders out there who are doing great in trading but majority are still men who love to risk for rewards. They say women can be calm, but I don’t think they can still remain calm when they have seen that their trades have consistently end up losing, given the fact that women are more emotional whenever negative outcomes often happen in them. In fact, women easily get discouraged and could quit early in trading, unlike men who can be more seen flexible and tough especially when it comes to decision making.

It can go both ways TBH. I've seen lots of traders online already. Both men and women that's why I don't want to say that women are better than men and vice-versa. I'm a man, but I don't want to be bias knowing that anybody can be a good trader.

A success of a trader depends on knowledge, how discipline they are, risk management, and emotional control, not the gender of the person. Yes, what OP had said might affect the trader, but that doesn't show that women are better in trading than men. At the end of the day, it's not all about the gender - it's all about the skill, the mindset, and the strategy of the trader.

Just for context, based on some studies, men are thriving in quick decision-making so that negates the first one that OP has shared to us.

I personally have seen good amount of female traders that makes big profit but I also think that trading as a money making activity doesn't care about your gender. also, people are dynamic not 1 dimensional, regardless of gender, some are good at multitask some are good at one task.
at the end of the day, the result depends on you as an individual.

I actually agree with you. I believe that if 50 males and 50 females were trained to the same level of trading ability and skill, women would outperform men for the reasons you stated. It would coincide with statistics relating to men being more willing to take risk, while women generally tend to be more conservative (which ultimately works in favor of skilled traders). I think that the reason that we don't know or hear of more talented female traders is simply because becoming a trader and learning through research/experience is more attractive to males than females.

On point sir, I think even though the trading world is more populated with more men than women,  if they are given equal chances,. They most likely will do better at trading,. They are inbuilt with natural characters of a trader. the only lacking part is the knowledge

It is not an argument for or against, it is a decision based on thoughts and experience from traders,. Women are naturally born with some qualities that  helps in the trading space which I have mentioned just few, so some persons believe that because of those inborn traits they will do better than men if given equal knowledge, skill and opportunity in trading

What a load of bullshit. To begin with, women are a minority in trading, so it is hard to believe that so few are dedicated to what they are supposedly so good at. I don't agree with you that women are netter traders because you find little ratio of them that ain't trading tho they are known for their widespread experience and how to face challenges and adversity when it comes but you can't compare them to the men that are die hard traders overtime,so how do we dispute or agree with the fact that they are the better traders. Yes it's agreed that they can multitask between things but fixing in the trading space i think doing some sorts of analytical check would help to proof if they do more better than men.

Women are known to take less risks so its not a surprise at all. The discrimination is real and is even scientifically proven. Insurance for drivers cost less for women, because they take less risks. And in investment they even take less risky ones, its just the way they are. It is supposedly because they feel the pain more, and feel the consequence of loss more. You can google it

It doesn't makes sense with all of these gender topics about who's better and who's making more. I don't think that there is a need to prove who's the better trader here. Both genders males and females can be good at the trade that they are focused with. Well if this goes deep, I hope some exchange will reveal a data from them on who's profitable on their own platforms and what are the genders of their top traders, I think that's interesting if that's it is all about.

Trading is known to be a high-risk activity, therefore they may not also engage on it. Taking big risk do also has its own advantages, I mean if we are already involved in trading, especially if we are a good trader like we still know when to stop.

For those male traders that are not good at control, this is where female traders can won against them but I think there are also women that are like that that are not good at control and likes to take big risks. Even though we can say that women are better traders than men, I think this is not something that they will get discriminated by the men but rather, men are going to get proud of them.

I don't know how true this theory is because I know that trading is a male dominated profession, as a matter of fact I haven't met a female trader yet. From the points that is raised in the OP about women being better traders the focus is on temperament, that women can control emotions more than men. I don't know how true this is because I know of many women that acts on instinct, spur of the moment, they'll make spontaneous decisions and regret later if it doesn't go well. I think that being a good trader is not gender based, it depends on the interest that a person puts into it. Trading is hard and not what anybody can rush into, if you diligently learn and be mentored by an experienced professional you can become a profitable trader.

Even there are fundamental differences between men and women, I need to disagree here because, all women are not good in money management or in risk handling capability under pressure. Any skill could be developed my both men and women through dedication and continuous practice. Hence, the role of gender in trading success is insignificant in my opinion. Just because of being a women, there cannot be any guarantee to be succeeded in trading. Definitely a misguiding topic here.

When we are debating about the risks of trading, now we started to discuss about gender based success in trading. In my opinion, there cannot be any assurance of profiting from trading regardless of your gender. Only highly experienced people may become a better trader over the time. If you want to be a better trader, then you must focus on gaining experiences, no matter you are a male or female.
