ANYONE here makes a living in gambling?

We all agreed on this doesn't still place some people not been in the show of taking gambling as their day to day means of survival, because I've seen some people around my local vicinity that has nothing to do everyday than to be in the casino to gamble, I don't even know how managed they were able to earn a living and survive, because Everytime you will find them at the casino gambling, but we are not to compare ourselves to those kinds, neither is it right to live in such a manner without having anything to do in other to earn a living than always being at the casino.

The thing is that constantly sitting around in a casino will eventually lead the player to a complete loss with a high probability. This will be especially difficult for those who do not have a business and positive cash flows that go to such a player. Basically, players who have earned a month's salary come to relax, and I honestly can't imagine what they do if they lose it all, they also have to think about food to be able to eat. In addition, there can be terrible situations with families in which one of the adult family members is addicted to gambling and there is a small child who needs to be supported and taken care of. Although I am sure that there is income in the casino, only too few players know how to do it, because it will be at the expense of losing players.

There is no guarantee and there can never be a guarantee that one can actually make a living through gambling because gambling is not a job or work someone should rely or dwell in, I mean who will rely on something they know that is very risky and the chance of winning is very small though people do actually make a lot of money from gambling not because they relied on it or is there work but rather they played whenever they feel it is convenient for them and if luck is on there side definitely they will make profit from it.

Yes, it is right because gambling is not a job or work who someone can make money. They can earn money when they are lucky enough to beat the games. But to earn a stable income, gambling is not a right place. People should know that will no guarantee for them can earn money from gambling because casino will not let them earn money too often. Perhaps some gamblers can make money from gambling but not for most people. We can use only gambling to have fun and enjoy our free time and when we win some money, that will be a bonus for us. No need to keep trying hard to make money from gambling especially if we are difficult to win.

I agree with your view, there is no eternal wealth if our wealth is the result of gambling, we can still enjoy it but to save in the long term is rather difficult because all the wealth from gambling will end in poverty if indeed gambling is their only livelihood and there is no other livelihood.

Most people gamble because they want to fill their free time, not only gambling is one of their livelihoods, sometimes they gamble just to find pleasure when they are tired of their main work activities, gambling for them just wants to relieve fatigue after being tired of working all day, that's what they can do just to find pleasure.

I have heard of people offline who win alot of times in football gambling. They play very few games like 3 maximum with 2/3 odds with high staking bankroll but if they are only depending on gambling winnings for living, I'm not sure because I also get the information that they lost heavily too. So it is neither here nor there but people have won big and changed their lives with gambling. However, most people that try to live and survive with gambling only are those who don't have additional skills and probably have ran into gambling as a last resort.

The first thing that came up to my mind is Poker, as the most popular and skill based game with many known players that got rich in this gambling game. Poker is a game you compete against other players but not casinos, which means you may win over time if you are skilled enough and have the Poker face to trick your opponents.
Otherwise, I don’t believe there are people making profit with long term playing against casinos that are basically meant to suck gamblers money with a tight chance to make some people win in short term.

I have never played Poker as a way to make a living from it, but I can see the difference between pure luck games and Poker. In terms of the amount of money you can win, and the lower risks of losing everything if you are good enough on the game.

Yeah... You see, the problem always is the timing. It doesn't happen when you placed a bet on it,but can sometimes just happen simultaneously and abruptly gets cut up. Seems like you really felt you could break even should you have taken that opportunities in the past?

Personally I don't think i have friends as gamblers who make a living by the winnings they earn from gambling, except they are doing any other online investments or services that earned them a good amount of money to their pocket, we can be gambling and be winning, but that doesn't make it a continuous process because in most conditions, we often gamble and loose, this makes many to have termed it this way that in gambling, it is easier to lose than to win, as a gambler, it is expected of us to have another thing which we do that earn us a living aside gambling for fun.

Actually it's kind of hard to see gambler that is making a living through gamble because it's hard to always win majority of the games you have placed on the casino or sport bets. However even though one is professional about the games he plays (casino games or sport games) he also should need luck before he could be able to win. However before saying one is making a living through gamble, he must be getting steady winning every day or 5 times a week from his tickets. Cause winning just ones will not be seen as making a living through gamble, unless you stake with $50 and get more than $300 weekly from gamble.

Do you actually think it is about a lack of skill or a mean of survival to have someone to turn gambling into their only source of income? Because, let us be honest, most of the times skills are the result of a long process of training and development of talents, people who are good at turning wood were not born with that specially talent, they practiced and invested their time to become masters on their jobs. So I doubt this is an issue of lack of talent of skill by people who gamble heavily as a way to live.
Greed is the main factor, they have seen people to get fortunate enough to win much money and they seek to be the next ones and actually live their life thanks to randomness, which is a unhealthy way to live, in my opinion.
There are both skillful people and those with little skill who gamble, both unemployed and employed people gamble, the common factor among them is greed and the pursue of money.

The OP must have gotten his answers already from various replies, I don't know his reason for coming up with the whole idea of wanting to satisfy his life long needs using gambling as a preferred source of income.

Those who fantasies gambling as a source of income often ends up wretched, it's not a path to drive through. Some gamblers stays weeks without winning any bet, for someone who takes it as a source and keeps losing how far can such a person survive.

I've never sought a steady income from gambling and never want to do that, it's like putting a weight on your shoulders, walking without certainty. We know that no matter how good a gambler is at analyzing the game there is still no 100% chance of winning, it's all speculation and relying on luck, so it's very risky for someone who makes gambling as a means of making a living.

Although I'm sure there are still many people out there who try to make money from gambling, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's the wrong choice to make a living because gambling should only be used as entertainment when tired or bored.

Already gambling is not a place to get rich quick, but I most say that their are people at their that are making a living through gambling. Because I have seen a man that have achieved a lot through gambling, although sometimes he normally lose, but if I'm not mistaking this man have used the money that he have won in gambling and train his children from higher institutions. and though he does not hide his feelings when gambling due to his achievement, and he normally stake with a huge amount of money.

I know some people that do win often from gambling, and most of them are not even employed, and the ones that are employed are not being paid well, so they decide to make use of gambling to support what they are earning. Most of this people place bet on only football, they make their predictions, they make sure they pick just few matches, the odds is not always much, and they do decide to bet with a good amount of money, so they are always having higher chances of winning, since they are picking just few matches.

I know it’s difficult to see people that are really making from gambling, most people are just wasting their money, and they do end up winning just little amount of money at the end.

Also I don’t like the idea of depending on gambling completely, it doesn’t make sense to, because gambling isn’t reliable, and you don’t know when you will be making. If you are a gambler, make sure you have other things doing, and don’t even expect anything much from gambling, but if it comes, you can do what so ever you want with it.

There are many types of people in the world. We think that a person cannot accept gambling as his main source of income even if he wants to. But we actually see many people who spend their time in casinos all the time. It is surprising to see them outside, but they have found a way to make a living for themselves. There are some games that they are good at and they make a living by using that experience which we cannot see and understand from the outside. If you can spend that much time on gambling, then it can be your means of livelihood.

It is easy to earn money from gambling. If someone can earn a living by gambling, that is great, but in my opinion the number of such people can be very small. Winning in gambling is uncertain, which is why it can never be considered a source of income. I believe that if those who have several sources of income consider gambling as a source of income, it is okay because even if they lose in gambling, they will be able to earn their living from some other source of income and in turn, they can use that money by winning in gambling. The number of such gamblers who are completely dependent on gambling, whom we can consider as professional gamblers, may be small. I can never consider gambling as a means of earning a living. It should not be considered because uncertainty is never a source of income.

Many do that where not a few people rely on them to survive or make money to live in gambling so that it manages to become a misery in the end.

Gambling can be done by anyone but making a living in gambling is definitely an action that is ultimately wrong because there is no gambling scheme that can realize that even though we players try our hardest for that but in the end no one can really realize the scheme.

It's just that for things like this sometimes many people are overconfident or seem naive as if the impossible thing they can do just because of short thinking where they want to make a profit without any work which in the end they are trapped in their own thoughts and blame self-destruction for gambling but in fact they themselves are ridiculous for doing things that should not be done.

For those actually who do make a living with gambling then they will really be just that remain silent or won't be boastful about on being profitable with it. Anybody that is depending gambling as a major source of income will most likely end up being addicted. Gambling is suited for people that have a major source of income that wouldn't depend on wins to take care of their financial responsibilities.

There are a few gamblers reported, but most of those who win the jackpot prize, like in the lottery, have been poor again due to mishandling money. But also remember that luck does not always come to us. If we keep on gambling, chasing after another big win, I could imagine that we still spend all the money we get. It is something to say that the money still goes back to the casino.

If someone makes a living in gambling, good living. I assume the casino owner, not the gamblers.
