I've heard the phrase "making a living in gambling," but I don't know if there are actually people here who have pulled it off. So, this thread is me asking, are there any users who can prove that it's possible to make a living from gambling?

I'm talking about gambling that's not purely based on luck. I'm sure you're aware of games where skill plays a role like poker and especially sports betting, which is pretty popular.

Is anyone here doing this long-term? If so, I'd love to hear your insights because I'm interested in following this path.

It's not easy to make a living in gambling because at everytime when you play winning is not guaranteed. Depending in gambling profit will be so terrible. I think this is not just good for the mental health because gambling is unpredicted it seems not to look like something that you can depend on to make a living. Depending on gambling to make a living will even cause more problem for one because you have t put in more limits to earn money, putting more money is a way of losing easily which will definitely affect you well being, I think it can lead one to addiction that can cause depression.

There is almost no way to rely on gambling as a source of steady income consistently and as far as I know it is almost certain that gambling will not work in the long run to make money consistently. Rich people just enjoy gambling as a form of entertainment and generally even though they spend a lot of money they don't really want a return. Although in some cases they are lucky enough to get a profit from winning at the gambling they do.

I agree with your view because there is almost no way to make money consistently in gambling and that means getting rich from gambling is something that is impossible for us to achieve.

That's right , the Things that have to do with Gambling Are very Different , you can never trust that they are your Own Income , I Personally am clear about it , when I was starting out in casinos I played with the intention of winning more money and I was very Lucky especially with Dice , but there came a time when I lost a lot of money , so sometimes you felt very disappointed with Yourself , sometimes I thought it was my fault for not knowing how to play, but no, the house advantage is Incredibly beneficial for the casino, that's why it's a very profitable business.

Let's not be deceived, riches in gambling comes by luck and unexpected and it's not what a sensible person should rely on. You're right to assert that most rich people who splash thousands into gambling were made off gambling. Most people fail to understand that these rich folks gambling budget might be higher because they're rich already and those lost funds doesn't matter to them. Yet a poor person would be dreaming to be as rich as them and thinking he can get such riches through gambling which is often a lie.

If you must make a living and be successful, you must eliminate gambling as one of your options and if luck shines on you, then you celebrate, and focus on your career to be successful.

As i said, i don`t bet now, i`m not gambling man. But few months i`ve got nice income from sport betting. It was really hard and when i understood that i can`t combine it with my job more - i stopped the game. But as result i know that it is possible to get stable profit with sport betting.

I think that i answered that question, but i can repeat. It takes too much resources to combine sport betting and the job. My salary higher than my medium income from gambling for that period. I understand that i can get enough money from gambling for living but from my job i get more money. I think that it is easy enough to understand.

When it comes to living with gambling then this is something that you must not really be that considering out on trying out to achieve because only a few will really be able to make it through. When it comes to disappointment then it will really be that an inevitable thing because loses is really just that normal or something that you cant be able to avoid. On the time or moment that you do become that being optimistic about trying out to make a living with gambling then you will really be doing unnecessary steps on which it could really be that leading into disaster. This is why risks management will really be that relevant.

No matter the claims that people talk about some gambler winning a whole lot of cash, I am still of the opinion of that you will be crazily shocked if that same gamblers shows you his losses and no matter how we try to sugar coat, losses are always greater than winner even for the gamblers that hit some kind of jackpot by mistake, in due time they will end up having more loses than the winning so the only difference in all this is that when those lucky massive wins come you can use the cash to establish yourself or do something tangible and also for the losses you don't get to lose all at once like a fool.

You are right, some gamblers really make gambling as a source of income, but I admit that they are really hard to achieve. Dreaming to get rich in gambling is really just imagination, unless they are really lucky. Not many people really get it, but some people have gotten it and it is real. If such a big win is our main motive to gamble, then we will really lose everything to pursue wealth.

I used to follow one guy on YouTube that is making a living with gambling.

I think that his daily routine involves, he preps his kids for school and after he has dropped them off at school and his wife at her office, he returns home and gambles until it is time for another school run.

From the video interview he quit his day job to gamble and according to him he is lovin' it. As for this place, I doubt if there is anyone doing it full time and long-term.

Right. It definitely feels like a good chunk of folks on this forum are earning their living through day-trading or something in the crypto space. I have been reading these kinds of stories for years – people who decided to say goodbye to their 9-to-5 and dedicate themselves entirely to their crypto passion.  I find that quite inspiring, unlike "making a living from gambling."

No, people can be getting funds and also make a living out of gambling without being an addict. But s/he has to start with combining something with gambling. There's no way someone will focus mainly on gambling as a source of income and not be a gambling addict.

All are united on one point that he will not be able to make a living by gambling for long.  If you have gambling habit then you can take it as fun.  But it would be foolish to think of making a living on it.

I don't think anyone makes a living from gambling, although I know many who do nothing in their lives except gamble. They either gamble all the time or spend the rest of their time finding money to play. Only those who work in the gambling industry make a living off gambling, and most of them are not gamblers because it would affect their jobs in one way or another, but rather gambling experts.

It means that he can be said to be a responsible and professional gambler. because he dares to make gambling an activity to earn income, and can still manage his time, control himself, and earn more income.

I don't know what kind of experience and learning and process he has gone through so far. But there must be up and own. and as long as he can control himself, he has his limits, and he is responsible, then that would be reasonable. and especially if he also gets support both physically and morally from his loved ones, it would be much better, at least, he can get attention when he might lose control.

Making living in gambling sounds simple and easy but isn't realistic in real life. I have observed something as a gambler, you hardly win bet when you are badly in need of money. May be due to our anxiousness to win that make us select game with less risk which later end up with a team losing. Most people that made it through gambling are people who just play for fun but have the motive of winning one day.

This is hard for ordinary gamblers, but for pros, it’s definitely possible. We can always try if we aim to go pro in the future, but at the same time, we need to be honest with ourselves. Our current performance determines our future, if we’re not profitable, we shouldn’t fool ourselves.

The system was never designed to favour the players that's one thing gamblers should note before they decide to take gambling as a hubby and the source of their income, a lot of people have hit jackpot more than once but at the end they end up losing everything and becoming homeless because they tried to keep gambling hoping to hit an amount that will see them not going broke again but that didn't happen because gambling is always a game of luck and chance. Meaning if I stop seeking for money I might win my bet regular or what? We all know choosing less risky games has always been the strategy gamblers use for example going for the big teams unknownily they’ll perform poorly. If anyone says they make a living by gambling, they are definitely lying.
Gambling means luck and it is not possible for a person to be lucky all the time.
Even if it is a game played with knowledge, luck is definitely required.
If you try to do this with sports betting, you still have to be lucky.
In short, I never believe that there is such a person. Sometimes people get lucky and win well, but sometimes they don't get lucky and lose a lot.
