I mean OP did say that misery follows our addiction. Gambling can be fun and entertaining if only consumed responsibly and carefully. We all know that gambling starts due to enjoyment and wanting to pass time.

Good practice. Make sure to find something that would stimulate your brain but in a healthier way than gambling does so you don’t end up going back to gambling. Sports can be a good distraction. Well, on youtube it's really hard to find serious arguments about dopamine. Of course there are some explanation but it's not enough.

I am a non-addicted player. I don't like to bet most of the time but I see this as a way to spend some free time or a way to earn a small % playing some sports/competition that I know. THAT'S ALL!

Not only for enjoyment and passing time but also expecting to win huge this one is I think one of the reason why people become addicted in gambling because they expecting to make a huge money. At first I'm sure most of gamblers due to debt they force to gamble and taste a win.
The first taste of a win will lead to addiction because anyone will believe that they can easily make money from casinos and that if they continue to gamble, they will be able to pay off their debts, but they are unaware that addiction can lead to misery.

OP, why not starting by finding out real number of addicted to gambling people and those who really cant help but play, and compare that amount with overall number of gamblers. What I believe, is that there are a lot of those who gambler often, some of them really do it more than they should, but majority still gambler for fun or earning a lot is not their primary goal. Yes I am not addicted that much like in the case that I wont take it without gambling for a week. I can advise them to enjoy their life, if they got work and earn decent, then dont waste that money for gambling but set aside if they are so into it. Its always good to have a budget for your daily spend and family. Gambling can totally ruins ones life if addiction kick in.

You don't need to be addicted little to gambling, if you want to stay long in gambling, just make sure you are gamble for fun whether you win or lose which is the major energy that is making gamblers to stay long in gambling because the more you stay long in gambling the more you gain more experience from gambling.

Actually its not really that bad to gamble as long you do find yourself that being having the control. This is something that you cant be able to give advise into other people because they will really be definitely do the things on whats up into their mind. Lets say they are currently doing gambling and they have seen someone do make out some advises to stop or minimize gambling on which  this will be neither be listened or would really be just that simply ignored. I think it's not so clear-cut because some people have a psychological predisposition to risk. Among gamblers there are always crazy people who are ready to put a lot of money on the line. Some of them even put their last money. And I am sure that they are well aware of the risks that may incur and still take them on themselves. This is their nature and it is not so easy to refuse risk as it seems to a person who knows how to manage his emotions, desires and money. For them, risk is comparable to a drug.

no, gambling is part of the entertainment in my life and i don't see it as an addiction. for me to be completely free from gambling would be like losing one of my sources of entertainment. it's just that for a certain price (which i choose) i get a high dose of excitement for a short time. i don't plan to give it up.

i'm certainly not an addict, i don't have much advice for addicts as i can't remember a time when i was addicted, in fact i don't understand how people get seriously addicted to it. but if i were to make a suggestion i would only say this to addicts;
