Percentage in not used on the exchanges that I am using. Each ads have the price buyer or seller wants to buy or sell the coins. So price is used directly. 8% will be seen as a manipulation but you can see people on exchanges like you which I account them among scammers when there are better offers from people that will not make more than 1 to 2% as fee.

update i have done a lot of deals with 5 to 8 % fee so it seems like it wasnt too much after all or maybe i forgot to mention i accept cash maybe thats where the confusion was

That a good fee for anyone who wants to get some benefit from selling his BTC, not all people are based in France. So, please can you mention all the other online methods you do accept, Paypal, Skrill, other cryptocurrencies?

escrow is kinda useless if a reversible payment method is used tho.
but i guess a forum escrow could be used for a cash deal, but i'm not really sure how the process to confirm cash did exchange hands.

just thought i should mention that so some newbie doesn't get it twisted and think they will be 100% safe using escrow.

The buyer (OP) must deposit fiat funds into escrow and provide their Bitcoin address. The seller sends the Bitcoin to the escrow address, and the escrow releases the funds to the seller.
In this case, the escrow must be well-informed or have a strategy in place to prevent potential counterclaims on the payment platform used.

-for the methods i can send from revolut or wise and other non refundable methods ( no paypal unless its a small amount and i am the one sending)

I agree that 5% is a very acceptable fee. When I find a seller on localcoinswap that has 5% and actually replies I am happy. Most sellers charge more though, around the 6-9% area, and there are some that think charging double digit fees will bring anybody to deal with them.
Same for p2p in cash, in Japan I mostly paid around 5%, only on "friendly deals" I paid slightly less. So no need to feel bad when other people say it's too much, it's nonsense. It's basically around the bottom range when you talk about p2p.

whats wrong with that ? it was my first deal and from what i had heard its extremely unsafe to meetup for crypto so i went armed the first time nothing wrong with being carefull and you went as far as reading all
my posts to find the very first one where i had no experience to try to make me look bad wow but go ahead it doesnt bother me

ps the last person who tryed to make me look bad was bias and he gave up when i proved i wasnt a scammer he vanished never replied never apologized just dissapeard like a coward and i missed having a hater

we are talking about a F2F cash deal here. so it has to be done directly between the buyer and seller while escrow holds the coins until he can confirm the seller got paid, or the buyer paid, so the coins can be released.
but the seller can claim they did get the money, or the buyer claiming they paid when they didn't.

if that ever happens, it's gonna be buyer vs seller words, which is why i asked how escrow (assuming an escrow from the forum will even take on a deal like this) could verify it. they could use pictures or a video to document the trade, but those can be faked easily if the escrow doesn't KYC both parties, and most people buying crypto for cash are doing it to avoid that.

OK, I understand, that also requires the physical presence of the escrow agent. The priority is, escrow "secures" the cash in all aspects including its authenticity, not to held the coin (as txid is sufficient to confirm that the coins have changed hands). In practice, this is incredibly complex, not to mention the physical security risks of the escrow party. So your assumption is rarely to happen.
