The Monster is back and will now be fighting in the US, specifically in Las Vegas, against Ramon Cardenas. Cardenas, an American fighter, has a record of 26 wins, 14 by knockout, and 1 loss. It’s important to note that this fight will still be in the 122-pound division, so I think Inoue will demolish Cardenas as he is now comfortable fighting at this weight. What are your thoughts on this fight guys? https://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=266307

The original opponent was supposed to be WBC mandatory Alan Picasso, but his father rejected the fight because he didn’t think he was ready for Inoue. Cardenas has not lost in 8 years and his record is decent enough to be ranked by several organizations, but there is nothing about him that leads me to believe he will be too competitive.
The fight will take place on Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas, so it might not be the most pro-Inoue crowd in attendance. I won’t count Cardenas out completely, but it is unlikely we see something like Tank Davis getting exposed by a massive underdog. This is ultimately a showcase where the most probable outcome is Inoue winning in a very convincing manner.

So Inoue will be back in the US soil that's good. But maybe some disappointment as I'm expecting that he will be moving up at Featherweight. Anyhow, this could be his last fight at this weight, I reckon as everyone wanted him to go up at 126 lbs as there are a lot of challenges for him at that weight. We are even talking about him fighting Tank at 135 lbs, so I guess he really need to go up in weight class already after this one.

This is one big cherry-picked fight for Inoue, Who is this Ramon Cardenas and who has he fought, He may have a good record to show, but its not the record that counts but who has he fought and beat? This is not a contest on who will win, but what round will Inoue knock out this guy, This is a show-off figth instead of a title fight because this Cardenas is out of Inoue's league. After this fight I'm sure there will be a strong clamor for Inoue to go up.

Ramon Cardenas is the 2nd rank fighter under WBA but since number is vacant, this is his ticket for the Naoya Inoue sweepstake. I agree with you that this is an easy work for Inoue and the betting here is what round will Inoue demolish Cardenas. Going up in weight is not yet on Inoue's radar since after this fight the target is to fight Akhmadaliev in Tokyo this September still in 122-lb.

This bout marks Inoue’s return to the U.S. since his previous fights during the COVID era in 2021 and 2020. I am favoring this match to Naoya Inoue, especially the knockout ability, which Inoue has a 90% KO ratio while Cardenas only has a 54% KO ratio. And overall is the experience advantage of Naoya inoue. Here are the boxing records for both boxers.

Naoya will dismantle this Ramon Cardenas within five rounds. He shouldn't be worried about getting right into exchanging blows against the American. Cardenas doesn't have that much power in him. But he should be happy he's given the opportunity to fight Naoya. He's got nothing to lose.
It's just also right that he's picking this untested fighter in his return fight to the US. It must be a new experience fighting in front of a big crowd which isn't largely made up of his own solid fans.

Looking at the statistics of both fighters, Naoya Inoue is slightly superior and has an undefeated record of 29 wins, 0 losses, and 0 draws, 26 of which were achieved by KO. While Ramon Cardenas has a record of 26 wins, 1 loss, and 0 draws, 14 of which were achieved by KO. And of course this fight will be exciting and Naoya Inoue will defend his undisputed title against Ramon Cardenas while Ramon Cardenas is ambitious to defeat Naoya Inoue and will be the underdog against Naoya Inoue. And Naoya Inoue is a great boxer and he will definitely defeat Ramon Cardenas in the 7th round with a KO victory.

I love the anticipation that's twirling all over and I realized there're much fans and lovers of Naoya Inoue to Ramon Cardenas.Indeed, boxing is a game of technical skills power and fighting intelligence. Generally, Naoya Inoue is considered the champion of this fight already because of his previous fighting results and experiences but May 4th will definitely reveal and release this suspense around our necks but until then,Goodluck to the Fighters!!

He is rank number 1 by the WBC. Forget about that rank. It doesn't mean much. Cardenas hasn't achieved anything significant. Even winning streaks don't mean much. You'll climb through the ranks, yeah, of course. But that doesn't mean you've defeated all the greatest boxers along the way. He was just fighting a young unknown fighter in Acosta for 10 rounds prior. And now he's fighting for an undisputed championship against a legend. That should be an achievement for him. He couldn't even believe it at first that he's going to be facing Naoya next. I'm sure his professional experience hasn't prepared him enough for what's coming.

Cardenas is still not to be underestimated. He has 26 wins by way of KOs. That's still a good fighter to consider. The good thing about this is that Naoya is going to fight in US, this will make him known to the country and might just do it regularly afterwards. Maybe he will really be fighting guys on the higher division in the next fights. And this Cardenas is just the start. He been a superstar already in boxing but not so much in US so this will open doors for him to bigger fights and monstrous opponents as well.

This fight who wants it is Cardenas, he is like someone who can beat anyone because after successfully getting win from Acosta while maintaining consecutive win, he talked about wanting to fight the best boxer and Inoue is his choice while giving him the opportunity to fight for the title. From both fighters it can be seen that Inoue has the advantage, Cardenas will not be able to easily maintain winning when fighting Inoue later and he will feel that fighting the best boxer like Inoue is nightmare for him.

I have to check Youtube and articles to check who this Ramon Cardenas is. Based on what I see, this Cardenas can punch and can box, but the biggest question is whether his power and his skill can match Inoue. There were better fighters that Inoue beat, so I doubt if Cardenas will have a chance against the highly skilled and knockout artist Inoue. I wonder why his promoters keep feeing Inoue with oponnets like this and just go up and fight the best fighter in the featherweight division because he has a good chance to conquer the featherweight division.

I think everyone from his division wanted to have a crack against the best in Inoue. And so far none has so far close in beating him except Nery. The thing that makes Cardenas dangerous is that we haven't seen him fight and so we don't know his style yet. But with Inoue, we've seen his power though, and this fight is going to be at 122 lbs and this is his best weight class. So with that, gonna be hard to see if Ramon Cardenas will be the one to spoil Inoue's fighting in the US again after so many years.

There is about month and half left for their fight to take place, we know how Inoue is when fighting in the US and he can always bring the winning that everyone expects, I just want Inoue to finish this fight with win and see him really return to fighting in higher division.

Nothing will excite me about Inoue as long as he keeps fighting in the 122 pound; there is less or no opposition at all. The featherweight is the division where all the challenges are, and there is no use delaying going up; he possesses all the qualities, skills, and power to conquer the featherweight division. This Cardenas fight is another cherry-picked fight and will not excite even his longtime supporters. we all wish that its the last one in the 122 division and he moves on to the higher division, and about Cardenas its the fight of his career but I don't think his experience and power is enough.

Inoue will always be ready and could be hitting the gym after every fight. And that could be a good sign of elite boxers, as they are always in shape as compare to other boxers who during a rest, didn't control their weight. So even if it's just a month and half, for sure Inoue is already in great shape. Again, this is first fight in the US after a long time and maybe he wanted to impressed his fans in the States and looking for a knockout and then fight in the higher division next.

Sports bookies for now has only one listing, and that is Cardenas is a huge 14:1 underdog in this fight. No disrespect to Cardenas, but he will be just another boxer that Inoue will fight and be destroyed without going into the distance. I reckon that maybe it will be listed on over/under 4.5 rounds just like in any of his previous fight. As it looks like everyone that Inoue faces in this division is a mismatch. And it's also the main reason why we are calling for his team to go up in another weight class to test how great Inoue is as a fighter. He has clean up this division anyway, so I do not know why he is still fighting at super bantamweight.

Ramon Cardenas is expected to be a huge underdog going into the fight, he is just one stumbling block for Inoue's path to greatness. As a matter of fact, Top Rank and Team Inoue are looking forward to their next fight and that would be against Akhmadaliev, seems that they consider that they will win this one easily which many will agree.

He is too focused on dominating his current rank. Moving could be a challenge for him, but with his experience, he could adapt quickly. This would also give him the chance to show the world that he can make his name at a higher level, where he can find the best boxers. In this fight, Inoue remains the favorite. But I don't say this fight would be easy for him, as his opponent has great records as well. What I'm looking forward to and more excited to see is when he decides to face Davis. I know people are waiting for that moment.
