Anyhow, if you think that Cardenas has a better chance to beat Inoue, then it's better to put a bet on him right now so that you can win big and as what you have said, "defy" all expectations and pull the upset of the year.

No way would I ever bet against Inoue unless he's facing Casimero. That's a fight where I'd confidently put my money down, since Casimero's experience and former champion status give him a real shot at the upset. But realistically, the chances of this matchup happening seem slim. Even if fans demand it, Inoue could easily avoid the risk and cherry-pick safer opponents he knows he can dominate.

True, if ever boxing fans might bet against Inoue even if the spread is high is against Casimero. Because we believed the Casimero might have a good chance to beat Inoue because of his power and he is not afraid to go toe to toe against anyone.

However, this might not happened unfortunately, maybe after Cardenas he will be fighting Murodjon and that's it. He will be moving in the next weight class as the champion there are already talking about Inoue.
Is this official? After fighting Cardenas then Murodjon then moving up into next weight class? I havent seen any news headlines about it or updates.

“I will stay at this 122 pound division for two more years,” Inoue, 27-0(24) said. “Without being physically matured and developed, I won’t move up to the feather [weight] category.”
Source: (https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/naoya-inoue-to-stay-at-122-pounds-for-two-more-years/280567)

So we would be expecting that he might be that moving on next year 2026, or simply i have missed something?
Everyone is eyeing for him to move up and there's no point on staying on super bantamweight.

For Casimero talks, the gap is already too much and everything with those hypes will be just that remain there and there's no possibility to catch up and made this fight happen.

That report is somewhat outdated, if you look at the date it was July 2024.

Now this is just last month,

https://x.com/ringmagazine/status/1897659817524645972

And the source was what we call the "Bible of Boxing", Ring Magazine. It might not be official as we have to wait for the result of the Inoue vs Cardenas fight, but perhaps it was just for formality and we all know that the chance of Cardenas to beat Inoue is slim.

Though no official announcement yet but i have read an article saying that after this Cardenas fight, he will fight the mandatory Murodjon Akhmadaliev next before moving up but i have not read that he will stay in the super bantamweight for two more years. There is no more exciting opponents for Inoue in this division unless they will setup an All-Japanese unified championship fight against Junto Nakatani which Inoue confronted months ago.

It really make sense for Inoue to take on Murodjon, I mean he is well deserved to have a fight with Inoue. He was just upset but Tapales but it seems that Akhmadaliev is back in his form again and has won fights after that lost.

And if this happens, for sure this will be in the US as well, no need for Inoue to get back to Japan at his comfort zone again.

And American fans love his style and so he is very welcome in the US with the Cardenas fight. And he could be compare to Tank Davis, as there have been talks that it's a possible fight down in the future.

If this fight is official, it’s a great matchup as we haven’t seen Inoue face top-ranked opponents lately; most of his recent fights have been against handpicked opponents. Honestly, it doesn’t matter if it’s in Japan or the U.S. If Inoue wins, it’ll likely be by knockout, so we won’t even need judges. No worries about bias or controversy.

This might be Inoue’s last fight in this division. If he gets past Akhmadaliev, who I believe is his toughest challenger at this weight, he’ll likely move up and go after the champion in the higher division. Honestly, it’s long overdue. We have been seeing for a while now that there’s no real challenge left here based on what we’ve seen in his recent fights.

The real excitement comes after when he moves up into higher division where the challenges will finally match his skill set. Moving up will not only force him to adapt to bigger and stronger opponents but it will also demand a refinement of his skill set making him prove his greatness all over again. That’s the moment I’m waiting for when Inoue steps into deeper waters and faces a true challenge again.

We’ve waited years for Inoue to move up, but he’s still choosing to stay in a division he’s already conquered, even becoming undisputed champion. For a boxer who claims to want real challenges, there’s no reason to linger unless he doubts his ability to carry that dominance into a higher weight class.

Just to be fair with Inoue, he had faces some very good opponents in his last 5 fights, well not the last one though. But the likes of Donaire, Fulton, Tapales and Nery, those are former champion. It's that Inoue is really way above everyone at 122 lbs that it looks like it's a mismatch for him. And the only name missing in his resume is Akhmadaliev. Although at first he doesn't want to fight him because he already beat the man who beat Murodjon.

But then again, to be able to clean up the division that is the only name that he needs to fight before he can finally move up to the next division. So we are all exciting for him to fight in the US, however, against Cardenas it's another easy work for him even Murodjon. The big challenge for him is when is goes and move up to 126 lbs as we will really see if Inoue is that good by going up against natural bigger fighter.

He should be really moving up in weight already, and we thought that him going to US soil, he might have face a good champion at 126 lbs. But still though, we can call it a safe move from Inoue's camp by facing a unknown in Ramon Cardenas.

Somewhat disappointed on how he picks his opponent for his US debut again. So we are still in the waiting for when he will decide to go up in weight because that's where the real challenge for him and not at super bantamweight that he has been dominated already.

I voted for round 4-6.

I'm not sure if that is the correct mindset though for a great champion. Inoue is even compare to Manny, but Pacman has faced a lot of champions in his era and never back down from any one even bigger and more powerful than him.

Sounds like a weak excuse to me. He had multiple chances to fight Casimero but ducked the risk, because he knows Casimero’s power could shut his lights out. Probably still haunted by how Casimero obliterated Tete. Now "he doesn’t deserve it" just became his Favorite excuse phrase.

That debate isn’t going away unless Inoue finally fights Casimero. Maybe he’s just trying to shut Casimero’s fans up, but honestly, Inoue should give him a shot, even if it’s not for the belt if he’s that scared of losing it. And I believe, it’s totally doable. As champ, he can pick his opponents, especially if it’s a big-money fight. And no problem with selling the fight since the fans would love to see him vs. Casimero.

There is only one name that he needs to fight and that his Casimero. But it's obvious that he doesn't want to fight him, not that he is afraid, but he thinks that Casimero doesn't deserved the fight.

Yeah, and as fans of Casimero, this is a dream fight for us, but it seems that Inoue is not willing to give Casimero a fight. In any case, we have been talking about him cleaning the division, but for boxing analyst there is still Casimero that he hasn't fought.

So hopefully if he has like 2 fights, although the plans is to really move up to 126 after the MJ fight, maybe Bob Arum can consider Casimero as his last fight. At least he can say that he beat champions and former champions and now moving up for more challenge and leaving the super bantamweight fighting everyone.

But the unfortunate thing for Casimero right now is that he doesn't have anything in the table that can take the nod Top Rank of him to fight their little cash cow, only his popularity to the Japanese fight fans, hope this is enough of him to  secure a fight with Inoue. I have read some articles saying that ticket sales for this Cardenas fight is not doing well, that is understandable because Inoue is not  yet so popular in the US while Cardenas is relatively an unkown fighter.

IIRC, it's already been a year or two when this proposal of Casimero to challenge Inoue. But it is Inoue and his team are the ones who's picking who will they choose to box him.

I have read some articles saying that ticket sales for this Cardenas fight is not doing well, that is understandable because Inoue is not  yet so popular in the US while Cardenas is relatively an unkown fighter.
I didn't even know that this fight is going to happen until I've seen this thread. And that's why I think that the promoters need to promote it very well to boost the ticket sales. Maybe a week before the match happens, we'll see the shooting up of the ticket says. I like the stats of Cardenas and maybe it's a good match up and that's why they've picked him to fight. Anyway, those that have been calling Inoue to fight outside their country, this is it.

Oh that's too bad, I thought that the US fans are waiting for Inoue to fight there? But now reports are saying that the tickets are not sold out? Maybe it's the opponent who as we have said is a relatively unknown boxer.

But we will see, we still have a week for this fight. Hopefully if Inoue wanted to have fans in the US then he will have to give us a impressive win with a knockout. Again, we fans here are very excited to see Inoue again but this time in the US.

This is the loss Top Rank will receive for protecting their fighter. The skeptical me thinks that Inoue will begin to understand that Bob Arum is not working with him and his team. Bob Arum only wants more profit by making it certain that his cash cow will have an undefeated record. However, I speculate that Naoya is not this type of fighter who is similar to the scammer Tank Davis. I predict that similar to Bud Crawford, Inoue will leave Bob Arum and agree on a deal with the rich Arab master Turki. Casimero might be given a chance of Inoue is under master Turki hehehhe.

his Legacy will remain with  many question marks on his portfolio, The Casimero vs Inoue is the big thing in his  career, if he will continue to get weaker opponent, its no use!
Get a good fighter with a strong power.

I just wish that Cardenas will KO him, if that happen, the baby will pursue bigger fights and he is the one to ask for it.
Or maybe he will go home and stop fighting outside his crib.

Before Bud their is Floyd who also wanted and did get out of the contract of Uncle Bob and many more boxers to boot. The thing with Inoue is that he also have a Japanese manager as well that might be talking to Arum on what to do next.

Although Inoue is now also working with HE Turki, and for sure he could have made a big offer and I won't be surprised if Inoue will not re-sign a contract with Bob Arum if it expires in the next couple of months.

@cryptomaniac_xxx. There is also the rumor that our favorite uncle, the UFC's uncle Dana is also working with the rich Arab master Turki and their mission is to fix boxing. I am not quite certain what will be fixed, however, I speculate that what might really be fixed is the boxers' avoidance of fighting the best in their weight divisions. There is also the avoidance of much of these boxers to fight in different weight divisions to challenge the champions there. In boxing there is only very small weight differences between weight divisions. One boxer can occupy 2-3 weight divisions.

In any case, I am very much excited for master Turki and uncle Dana's mission. I wish this will force boxers similar to the scammer Tank Davis to challenge the other best boxers. I also very much wish for the rematch of King Ry and Tank.

He should fight Bigger names outside his baby crib.

I guess becoming world champion in six fights, winning the WBSS tournament, becoming undisputed twice, and winning 12 world titles in 4 weight classes isn’t enough to impress casuals these days. Maybe if he launched a Solana rug token, failed a drug test, missed weight and crashed out on social media he will be as popular as Ryan and Casimero.
