This is why they want Inoue to fight in Japan, to protect their boxer and earn the ticket from the people and this is the downside of that baby sitting for Inoue. He should fight Bigger names outside his baby crib.
I guess becoming world champion in six fights, winning the WBSS tournament, becoming undisputed twice, and winning 12 world titles in 4 weight classes isn’t enough to impress casuals these days. Maybe if he launched a Solana rug token, failed a drug test, missed weight and crashed out on social media he will be as popular as Ryan and Casimero. I think it boils down on the charisma or the character of the fighter to be considered great, charisma + accomplished = legacy. And once again, Inoue chooses to fight in Japan that's why casuals don't know his name or what he has accomplished in the last 4 years or so. Nevertheless, he can still make it, fighting in the US giving us what Inoue is made of, knocking every opponent and Cardenas will be another regular fight for him. Perhaps we can compare it to rug pul, Lol, but that's boxing in this era now, fighters are being protected by their manager or promoter.

Lets say that he's that popular but only after a certain fight on which we know that people do get bored because they do know on what would be the outcome. Fighting only inside Japan plus having having that nitpicking on who would be the opponent that he do fight then that will be leaving out those bad impressions on which we know that he's only good with that level. Yes, we cant be able to deny that he's a good fighter but if he's still not that going outside with the current weight division he's in, then people wont be seeing him as a great boxer. Yes, he is in some sort but people do wants more.

I didn't even know that this fight is going to happen until I've seen this thread. And that's why I think that the promoters need to promote it very well to boost the ticket sales. Maybe a week before the match happens, we'll see the shooting up of the ticket says. I like the stats of Cardenas and maybe it's a good match up and that's why they've picked him to fight. Anyway, those that have been calling Inoue to fight outside their country, this is it.
Oh that's too bad, I thought that the US fans are waiting for Inoue to fight there? But now reports are saying that the tickets are not sold out? Maybe it's the opponent who as we have said is a relatively unknown boxer. But we will see, we still have a week for this fight. Hopefully if Inoue wanted to have fans in the US then he will have to give us a impressive win with a knockout. Again, we fans here are very excited to see Inoue again but this time in the US. There's still some time for them to have the tickets sold out. If there's the result that pay per view and the tickets didn't sold out then it means that the match isn't anticipated and favored by most of the boxing fans there. And by that time happens, whichever the result of it, then the Inoue's team need to consider looking after Casimero's challenge, maybe at the end of the year? no one knows if that's the books. IIRC, it's already been a year or two when this proposal of Casimero to challenge Inoue. But it is Inoue and his team are the ones who's picking who will they choose to box him.
This is why they want Inoue to fight in Japan, to protect their boxer and earn the ticket from the people and this is the downside of that baby sitting for Inoue. He should fight Bigger names outside his baby crib. I know that they've been like that but soon, people will get tired and the sales of the tickets will reflect on what the people like. It's going to be his reputation or what the people like. I didn't even know that this fight is going to happen until I've seen this thread. And that's why I think that the promoters need to promote it very well to boost the ticket sales. Maybe a week before the match happens, we'll see the shooting up of the ticket says. his Legacy will remain with many question marks on his portfolio, The Casimero vs Inoue is the big thing in his career, if he will continue to get weaker opponent, its no use! Get a good fighter with a strong power.
I just wish that Cardenas will KO him, if that happen, the baby will pursue bigger fights and he is the one to ask for it. Or maybe he will go home and stop fighting outside his crib. Cardenas doesn't look like a weak opponent for me because of his stats w/l/d but we'll see. And you're not the only one that wishes him to lose now.

Cardenas is not actually weak, but Inoue is much stronger than him if we look at their records. Inoue didn't lose a single fight and for his 29 fight he wins 26 via knock out. That's why I understand the sentiment of people if they say that maybe this is another easy fight for Inoue knowing his capabilities. Majority of bettors goes with Inoue in this fight and those who bet on Cardenas is just trying to take a risk to win huge from him. But let see what will be the outcome of this fight and who know we can see Cardenas gives a hard fight and make everything not easy for Inoue.

Then that just makes Inoue’s opponents look weak because he’s completely dominated this division, and yet he’s still sticking around. He should’ve moved up by now since we all know he’d win without breaking a sweat. We’ve seen it in his past fights, and here he is again, staying in his comfort zone. And now Bob has the nerve to compare him to Manny, even saying he’s better? What a joke.

Inoue really needs to move up and face some real competition, otherwise, his popularity will fade even if he stays champion. He’s not getting any younger, so he should at least prove he can be like Pacquiao. Not that he has to surpass Manny’s legacy since Inoue will never be an 8-division champ, especially if he stays in one weight class for too long. But he’s gotta show he’s willing to take that next step.

It will be difficult on their end to know if they are doing the right thing if they bet for Cardenas. Because if we'll base it on their stats, it's for sure that Inoue is the better fighter here. We always do that and we see that he's unbeatable even with the most recent match that he's got last year. IIRC, it's with Tapales but that guy is another level and pure defense guy, a very tough guy and hopefully Cardenas won't be like that guy and he's going to be more with offense since Inoue is also an offensive guy so we should see more punches thrown to each other with strength.

No one can withstand that power of him that's why his opponents looks inferior. But he should really be moving up in weight by now. Sure he is being compared to Manny, but I do not think that he will reach Manny's success and record if he keeps on 1 or 2 weight class throughout his career. Bob Arum says that Inoue is better than Manny, but we haven't seen it for now.

Many did not give Cardenas the respect he deserved and wrote him off before the fight even happened. Tonight he dropped and bloodied Inoue, giving him one of the hardest fights of his career. Cardenas seemed unfazed by Inoue’s power early on, but eventually those body shots wore him down.
The stoppage seemed a bit premature. We have seen fighters go through worse, like when Tyson Fury was practically out on his feet against Usyk in their first fight. I thought the referee should have let the fight continue. Nonetheless, it was a great action-filled fight. Cardenas showed that there are still fighters in this weight capable of giving Inoue a tough challenge.
After being in 25 world title fights and a champion for more than a decade uninterrupted, Inoue is starting to show some wear and tear. His brawler style makes for some exciting fights, but it feels like at any point somebody could emerge to dethrone him.

Someone who fights like Cardenas who could counter like that but sturdier and 12 rounder. If there was just few more seconds left I think Cardenas could really make a big KO win. Saved by the bell. But yep the fatigue sets in for Cardenas, they really are looking for someone who could possibly defeat Inoue and Cardenas would have been the perfect one if only he didn't gassed out.

Or maybe that punch just wasn’t powerful enough. Now I get why Inoue doesn’t want to fight Casimero because honestly, if it was Casimero who landed that shot on Inoue, I doubt Inoue would’ve won that fight. Casimero is too dangerous. He doesn’t want to end up like Tete who got knockdown because of the solid counter and ended up him unable to recover.

Casimero is no longer the Quadro Alas that we have known because of age and he is not active anymore in boxing maybe because of promotion issues. Anyways, congrats to the Japanese Monster for depending the unified belt and the only fight that is not boring this weekend hehe.

It happened when he fought Luis Nery as well where when he knocked Inoue down in the first round IIRC, Inoue went into "God Mode" (might be a bit exaggerated), and eventually won the game by punishing Nery. It's the same with this one. When you're fighting an undefeated champion who just demolishes every opponent he faces, you really will not get the respect that you want until you defeat that opponent. See how they looked at Bivol when he fought Canelo. Also look at how people look at Lamont Roach Jr. before fighting Davis. It's the same with this one, but this time, he might knock Inoue down, but still props to him for fighting "The Monster". Those punches from Inoue is just too much for him to handle IMO. The stoppage might be premature for some, but remember that he's getting those kind of punch since the 3rd round, and he got knocked down as well. I don't see it as premature IMO, because if that beatdown take even longer, it will just result in Cardenas getting knocked out still. As for Inoue, those knockdowns that he got in his last fight just shows that he still have a weakness despite how he defeats his opponents and because of this, I'm thinking more fighters in his division will try their luck and face him. I wish though that we see Inoue fight outside Japan more frequently.

Not to take anything from Inoue, but if he decided to move up in weight and fight the big guys, I think there will be problems for him. Cardenas is tough as they get and it put him down and had moments when Inoue was in trouble. And it seems that his power doesn't do anything on Cardenas as Ramon is doing a high guard, but the body attacks might have taken a lot of toll on Cardenas. I think it's was a good stoppage by the referee so that he won't get damage more. But against Nery and Cardenas, we have seen that Inoue's chin has been crack already and it will be dangerous for him to fight or move to the next weight class.

That was a smooth counter and pretty sure that if ever there's upcoming fights on which Inoue have then pretty sure his opponent will definitely be that looking into that kind of counterpunching. No one see that coming but that cross counter made him down on 2nd round on which that was that indeed a clean hit. I do even say on that time that there's some upset but i do agree into on what you have said if someone whose like that kind of punching and being that having more stamina and some perseverance on throwing up some punches then for sure i wont be shocked that Inoue would be dethroned. I do agree into those words above about having that showing some wear and tear. Well, he gets older but taking up that heavier division did make out some toll and there are saying about Inoue wants to become Pacquiao? I dont think so.

You have a point but i don't think that if they are to fight now the result would not be the same if they have faced each other 3-4 years ago. Casimero is no longer the Quadro Alas that we have known because of age and he is not active anymore in boxing maybe because of promotion issues. Anyways, congrats to the Japanese Monster for depending the unified belt and the only fight that is not boring this weekend hehe. Well the will to fight is there and Casimero still have a power punch so if it happens that they face each other I guess Inoue will still be in trouble. We see him collapsing when Cardenas hit him in the chin and Casimero mock or made fun of that knockdown gotten by Inoue https://web.facebook.com/reel/706321698805075Even if Inoue won those fight that knockdown made by Cardenas expose his weakness and I think he's not ready yet to go up or he will be in trouble. For sure fans want to see him fight again Casimero for last time since this comparison between Casimero would never stop if Inoue continue to ignore or evade to make this fight to happen.

As for Inoue, those knockdowns that he got in his last fight just shows that he still have a weakness despite how he defeats his opponents and because of this, I'm thinking more fighters in his division will try their luck and face him. I wish though that we see Inoue fight outside Japan more frequently.
That’s why, up until now, he still hasn't moved up in weight because of that exact reason. At higher weights, the punches hit harder, and if he gets knocked down like that again, there’s a real chance he won’t recover. It’s smart for him to stay at super bantamweight. He’s the king in that division. Even if he gets knocked down, he can still dominate and win the fight. But honestly, it feels like this is the ceiling for Inoue. It’s quite different from what his promoter claimed that Inoue is better than Pacquiao.

It's a flash knockdown, the second of Inoue's career. This is a result of being too careless in his attack. Inoue is too confident in his attack, leaving a wide opening for Cardenas to exploit. Inoue has a glass chin, and his future opponents will exploit this. Because of this knockdown, Casimero again mocks Inoue as being too slow and moving like a turtle. Cardenas is an unknown fighter; this should have been an easy fight for Inoue, but it still took him eight rounds, and he suffered a knockdown. Imagine if he's going to fight in the higher division and he has this chin.

Or maybe that punch just wasn’t powerful enough. Powerful enough to down Inoue, IMO but yeah not powerful enough to make Inoue unable to continue. Now I get why Inoue doesn’t want to fight Casimero because honestly, if it was Casimero who landed that shot on Inoue, I doubt Inoue would’ve won that fight. Who knows? It is sad that we won't be seeing that shot from Casimero landing on Inoue coming. I think the result will be the same, Inoue winning because Casimero just like Cardenas will gassed out. That is the problem with many Filipino fighters. The fell short of stamina at the later rounds. Casimero is too dangerous. He doesn’t want to end up like Tete who got knockdown because of the solid counter and ended up him unable to recover.
Not that dangerous, IMO, Casimero had lots of openning when he starts his offensive. These openings may cost him the fight. Btw, Tete was coming from an injury when he fought Casimero and has been inactive for 13 months. The injury might have a psychological effect on Tete when he fought Casimero plus the ring rust of being inactive for too long.
This is one of the best fight I had watched. Respect to both fighters. It was really a surprise to see Inoue knocked down. It was a very beautiful short overhand counter punch, sadly for Cardenas, the round is to end. If it was a bit earlier it would bring devastating effects to Inoue throughout the fight, sadly it wasn't capitalized by Cardenas.

What I’m saying is, if Casimero manages to land clean on Inoue’s chin and drops him, there’s a real chance Inoue might not recover. Sure, Casimero’s career hasn’t been smooth lately, but if you watch his past fights, his punching power is legit, definitely stronger than Cardenas and that other guy who once dropped Inoue. Power’s still power, and anything can happen in boxing.
