It's certainly good advice, whatever we do, if we don't have patience and give our full attention to our work, we have very little chance of success. I tell a real thing, when I was in primary school many friends were studying then gradually we got older and gradually our studies improved but there are also many friends who dropped out long ago. There are some friends who dropped out after studying for a few more classes and some friends who are still studying with us. That is, here but many could not be patient or could not study properly, that's why they left their studies. Now after joining the forum usually every new member has to face many challenges. To take your account to good level, you have to post good quality and wait for merit. Although constructive posts in the new situation, many times merit is not found, still those who can accept all these and spend time in the forum or move forward, but they are very successful. Every new member has to remember that no matter how big of a forum member we see everyone was new at one time and from there everyone reached this stage with patience so patience is really important here.

Many times we as humans want some positive results to show we are trying as we wait for our targets to actualize. If no positive results have been seen, we intend to slack back because it feels like our efforts are not enough to be rewarded.

However, it can be said that our grace and approach to things differ, and so is the way we post in this forum. There are members in this forum that it took a year to reach legendary. There are others it is taking years; they haven't yet reached legendary ranks, and they are still senior members or hero members. They are not giving up on their dreams and expectations, though.

We often see newcomers right here asking the same question how they will earn here or how they can earn in the crypto space which most likely our members frequently answer and one of the ways is the signature which has a rank requirement before I've seen member rank can join but most likely its now on Full member and above so they are desperate to earn the number of merits just to participate. But they keep chasing in a wrong part because if you want to earn merit most likely you need to have knowledge that can be shared to the community and to contribute to other members' current path, also in different aspects of course reason why we have different boards that specialize on the peoples want to deal with. Id recommend chase for the knowledge and afterward you will notice the merit will follow you.

The problem right now with these newbies is that they don't have the patience to wait because there's only one thing that's on their mind and that is... money.

A newbie joins this forum because of money, only thinks of money, that does not sound good.

It can be actual newbies but they are too greedy, money obsessive.
It can be not actual newbies but senior members with banned accounts and created newbie accounts to continue their works here and with them, they don't have patience.

The funny thing here is they knew they can earn here a money and then they created an account afterwards asking how to earn and knew how hard it is they abandoned everything. People recently really want to have an easy money.

As the saying goes, 'there's no shortcut to success.' No matter what you are building, you need to give it time at least six months, with maximum effort and dedication. Because if you are planning to get it easy, it doesn't work that way all the time. Plus, yes, you will face opposition. So, if you don't have a reason for starting something, when you face opposition, you will leave halfway.

So, let something be your drive so when you face opposition and criticism, you revisit your goals. Let the reason why you started in the first place motivate you. Because if you start something because you see that people are doing it, you will be so quick to lose interest. And then, when you face maybe one criticism, you will just leave it and be like, 'What am I even doing here? This is not what I want.'
So, make sure that when you are chasing something, you have a purpose for doing that thing, and you keep to it for long term.

There are new members in this forum and those who are joining the forum in a new way, but all of them have their own expectation target, but many times many fail to meet this expectation or many cannot reach their target. I think the biggest obstacle for a new member to reach his goals is his lack of patience.  

Patience plays a very important role in any work not just doing good in this forum. When we climb the stairs, we gradually step on one step after another and if someone thinks that he can go from the ground floor to the fourth floor without stepping on any step in between, he will not be able to go up. There will be many obstacles in reaching your goals. Many people will give many negative comments but you have to stick to your plan and try to move forward. Those who are new to the forum must be patient and try to stay active in the forum and at least try to post something from the forum every day. If you become inactive on the forum after posting for a few days, then later you will not want to become active again and post regularly on the forum.

So keep doing this from the beginning and trust yourself. Look at a legendary member if he can earn the rank of legendary member from zero then why you can't.

The road to success is indeed not easy and we must easy in any form of profession, skills or even business ventures. At first I had so many discouraging factors to why I should not engage my time in this forum. Discouraging factors on how to cope and meet up, how to go about the entire process, how long  it will take me to build my account, how do I make creative comment in the forum amongst other factors that came through me initially.

But gradually I'm building up and going through successfully. It takes time though but every beginning should know that it is just as an investment process as a beginner, and with time your investments will payoff in mega ways as a return. Being a new bee is already a foundation that you have laid, and with time your building on it until the roofing level and then you live in it which is the part were you can apply for works and earn through the forum.

You're right, our patient will determine if we can be able to make it or not. Because there are some people who choose to chase a certain goal but due to lack of patient and determination made them not to be able to achieve their goals, is just like that of bitcoin investment that requires a lot of patient before one can be able to profit from it. However, is only few investors that can be patient enough to HODL why majority can not be patient enough to HODL because they always see it as stress. At this point they can decide to sell off there bitcoin for short term investment and just take the little profit they get, why those who are patient enough to HODL thier bitcoin in the long run thier profit is always massive as a result of being patient. Is just the same thing with when you're pursuing a certain goal, there are some people who always end up in a half way. Why others will struggle to get to the final stage.

Having a higher rank or position in the forum isn’t a sign of success or greater achievement. You could easily reach that position, but fail to leave an impact to the forum and fail to enhance your posting quality since it’s the most vital in the forum, so still it doesn’t make an essence.

Patience is a big part in one’s success. Don’t focus too much on achieving something relevant that only you will benefit, but do it for the general welfare of the forum members. If you can play a big part in everyone’s success in the forum, I have to say what you did is great and that’s how success should be addressed of.

Keep in mind that vas majority of legendary members became legendary before merit was introduced. And back then you only needed activity.

This is 4 years later, I'm now a legendary member and we are still hearing same statement. If we compare the data of the legendary members before and after the merit system, we could understand better.

We all have been there too, as newbies we have had the expectation of ranking up to the next level immediately after joining the forum but reality has taught us some valuable lessons. Personally when I was still a newbie in the forum I thought it would be very easy to navigate the forum but reverse was the case as I struggled with lack of patience, confidence and criticism. It was later that I realized that patience, consistency and of course hardwork are the major qualities I needed to get what I want. Even with all the advice for newbies on how to navigate the forum, they still need to decide by themselves if they really want to be here, they have to ask themselves serious questions about the things they want to achieve in the forum because that's the only way for them to get to the next level.

What is your expectation of joining the forum? Most people accomplish what they came for in the forum even without moving ranks. If you came to money valued reasons, you will have to contribute to the forum, earn merits needed to rank up, and then apply for a space in any of the campaigns, all of which require patience, lots of effort to research and learn as much before contributing to the forum. Some came to learn about Bitcoin without having to put enough reason to ranks and all of these, but why not if you can keep learning, earn, and still contribute to others.

I think you and OP are simply just saying the same thing, when OP says that the road to success is hard, I’m pretty sure you understand that OP doesn’t literally mean a route or road but the processes that are involved. Now, we already know that the road to success involves a lot of things, just as you’ve said, having the right information and not being misunderstood, and like we already know, this is often the hardest, cos you don’t see informations on how to make money everywhere, yes there are simply ways to make money, but not everyone agave access to those knowledge and not everyone still are willing to share these knowledge to others.

One thing is certain, the legendary members that ranked up to that level after the merit system was introduced can simply confirm the OP advice of we needing patience to get to the top where we're all trying to get to. Every new member goals is to rank up to legendary and it doesn't matter what the Idea behind their discovery of the forum is because immediately you join the forum and see others with high rank and you'll get motivated. It won't be called success if it wasn't something worth celebrating. If it's easy then it won't hold any value so whenever you see anybody complaining about not being able to rank up, they simplest aren't doing something right because if they were doing it right it won't be hard for them. There's a lot of merit on the forum although not evenly distributed among the merit source but when you're doing something right, you'll get some.

It's not necessary for a newbie to keep on posting everyday because he or she is eager to rank up as soon as possible. The forum is easy to navigate if you understand it. Actually you are right about how new members including you have joined the forum recently to meet up to their expectations, but am sure not everyone of you have the same intentions because some are here to scam others. However based on my little research about the forum. Before I joined, the merit system was not functioning, IMO during that time it was easy for people to rank up but now you need lot of hard work to reach your next rank, so you don't need to rush because even your activities can delay you even though you have 300 merits and above.
