For me, addiction has a cure and it starts with the affected person. If the person wants to be cured, wants to improve, then you have nothing to do but have the willpower to move forward. Other treatments help, such as going to a psychologist, support groups, friends, family, everything helps. However, the person has to "want" to be cured. It is a commitment that I could not give up. If people with addiction want it, then they can.
