I agree, it's not her day and Noskova was in the better shape today. And that's okay, Alex did well and far from this Berlin Open and we'll get to see more of her for her upcoming tournaments and opens that she's going to join.

That game was pretty much dominated by Noskova, seems like she knows how Alex plays very well and she had a good return to beat her almost every time Alex served.

Alex made his debut with the win, she almost got her chance to play against her idol but Serena Williams fell short against Maja Joint though Williams even in her age still showcase some skills but against a much younger player her stamina is no longer at her favor, almost for Alex but fate did not bring this one to happen.

I saw that game and she did good there, beating regardless of the rank of her opponent does matter.

I haven't but looking at her next opponent which is Joint. She's ranked 87 now and she went down by 34 rankings on that. That's a huge jump so I think that Alex will be able to beat her. Looking at fortunejack's odds for Alex it's @1.26.

In this game, Eala bounced back in the second set, and now she is already leading in the third set with a 3-0 score. So I think there is more than a 50% chance that Eala is going to win this game.  It will also be revenge against Maya Joint after losing to her in the 2025 Eastbourne Open final.
