A month ago, I didn't know who she was. Now, I'm rooting for her.

I failed to bet on Iga- Alex match but I did bet on Eala-Joint match. Beating Iga gave her a favorite position in the upcoming match with Paolini as seen from the odds in stake, and more than likely in other bookies as well.

And given that she comes from the Philippines,  a less known country in this kind of sports, this feat is already quite huge achievement for all Filipinos. Actually, she's making a history for her country already as the first Filipina to reached this round in Wimbledon. A lot are following her journey in this sports. She's like making a name in the tennis world, just like Pacquiao in the boxing world.

True that. This is why I called her the dark horse in this Wimbledon tournament. Imo, these recent times that she has met and defeat several players from the top 10 including world number 2 and 3, it gives her plenty of confidence to continue going and believing in herself. I believe that right now, she knows she can do anything as long as she puts her mind to it.

I must admit. I do love an underdog story and will continue to follow her progress. Hopefully she gets pass Paolini because that will directly put her in the quarter finals!

That's true, she's making a history for our country. Because the entire country is dealt only with basketball and boxing, and this is what the government should give more support with the individual sports because we've got world class athletes into these kind of sports and not with team-sports. She's making it and I think she's now ranked 29 after beating Iga. I know that she'll make it far and she's still young. More years and she'll be one of the top 5-10 I guess and I can't wait to see that. Carry on Alex!

And so our very own defeated the defending champion in Iga Swiatek, and it looks like our country is having like a Manny Pacquiao sensation as Alex is putting our country in the worldwide map.

But it's not as easy as it sounds, she will be facing another good player next. However, he has the full country backing her up and that could enough for Alex to come back strong and bet the odds once more.

Agree to that, she's becoming a world sensation putting the country on the worldwide map with the way pinoy fans everywhere is showing their love and suppport for her, I like the way she's showing respect to each fans that spending thier time buying tickets and cheering for her, hoping to see her winning again as she's now going to play against another great player, looking forward to her more success inside the court.

Its trending now as Philippine Rookie player Alex Eala are now up on semifinals as she beats a lot of top tennis players such as Madison Keys, and Iga Swiatek.
Even though I don't really like tennis, I am 50% passionate about tennis if the players are top, like Swiatek, from Poland. I occasionally watch Swiatek in several tennis tournaments.

I watched the Wimbledon 2026 Grand Slam tennis tournament briefly but I didn't continue, I saw Alex Eala in the first set, but at first I didn't think I could beat Swiatek, even though in straight sets Alex Eala could beat the defending champion tennis player which was extraordinary.

This makes Alex Eala one of the best tennis players in the Philippines who has successfully advanced to the next round. Indeed, the Philippines has the best background in all sectors of the world of sports.

The prediction of this outcome as far back as 2025 was indeed accurate because Eala rewrote the history books with her reaching the RO16 of a grand slam singles tournament.
I think most left handed sports individuals are really gifted because Eala is left handed and had those powerful shots to confirm what I just said and we know of Messi with an incredible talent for generations.

Phillipines is definitely growing in sports and she did train under the wings of Rafael Nadal in his Academy to show how bright she is and how great being a competitor on the global stage determines the best tutors and training. She is now a star, not just a rising one and this makes me feel I need to pay more attention to phillipines in any category of sports I find them in, because they could be the lucky pick to make me win a jackpot in my betting endeavors from henceforth.

Do not miss the game tonight, in less than an hour we will witness the match between Eala and Paolini.

Alex is currently hyped now, but I also believe that she can win this match and proceed to the quarterfinals. What I like about Alex is that she seems lucky with the matchups, because her toughest opponent so far was only Iga.

Even if she wins this game, she will face Marta Kostyuk in the quarterfinals, who is currently ranked 13.
So this is really a big opportunity for her to continue this great run.

In this match, although her opponent has a better ranking, Eala is listed as the favorite. So if she wins this game, I would not be surprised if she remains the favorite in her next match. Filipinos are really supporting Eala. I even heard that some LGUs have free live viewing just to support her, so hopefully she will not feel too much pressure.

She just needs to give her best because many people are rooting for her to win.

Betting odds now 1.64 to win SU.

This is not only a win for Alex Eala but a win for the tennis world, too. With so many Filipinos supporting Alex, they are gaining more viewers, and as the Filipina star keeps on rising, there will be more to come. I bet there are some Filipino kids now who are watching her that would like to enter the sport too.

She was emotional after that win against Iga Świątek, but she has to compose herself now as she is up against another strong player, Jasmine Paolini. Number 4 in world singles and 3 in doubles. This will be tough, and I will be watching it live in just minutes.

Good luck to her. I am putting some for Eala.

Eala does not have a good start in the first set, but it is not over yet. If she can even it at 5-5, then this set will become more interesting.

But even if she loses the first set, it is still not over for her because she knows how to come back. It already happened before against Maya Joint, where she lost the first set and then dominated the 2nd and 3rd sets.

score now 4-5, she is serving the ball. ( lets even this)..

That is good to hear, that is what some fans want to see. It is free, and they can cheer together for Alexandra Eala.
The good news is that she was able to come back in the 2nd set, winning it 6-4. Now we are in the 3rd set, hopefully she will finally get another win.

Betting odds now 1.64 to win SU.
This is still active.. but those who bet on Eala for 2-0... thinking of bigger odds, that bet is a lost already.

Game is very close now, Paolini leading 2-1 in the last set.

She's the first filipino to enter the round 16 in the Wimbledon women's. But sadly, she lost against Paolini on the 3rd set. Paolini got 3 points. Whilst the first and second set was a tie for the both of them. Alex's opponent is really good and has got a higher rank than her. But just as Alex has been upset, the same goes with the higher ranks that they also seen some upset like Naomi Osaka beating Sabalenka.

When the score reached 4-3 in the final set, I stopped watching because I already had feeling how it was going to end. And yes unfortunately, Alex ended up losing.

It looked like she got hurt after that slide I can't remember which set it was, but after she slipped, Paolini started winning point after point.
Still, it was great run for Alex, especially since she managed to beat the defending champion. She's still very young, so there's plenty of time for her to improve and achieve even more in her career.

Mabuhay ka Alex Eala!

That was a very good run by Alex, making it to the round of 16 in the Wimbledon is a great accomplishment in her young career. Paolini was just too good for Alex to beat last night and it is understandable because Paolini is ranked higher than Alex though upsets may happen every now and then in tennis but not last night.

Betting-wise, Alex was placed as the favorite on that matchup yesterday and it was very tempting to bet for Paolini but i didn't pull the trigger on that one because it was very hard to cheer for Alex if you are placing a bet on her opponent.

So that's the bandage on her thigh for. I kept on asking that question in my head while watching the game. She did play great against the defending champion, but I guess she overdid it.

The first set was so bad. Her serves were off the mark, and a lot of those sets are where she lost. It's actually already a sign that she will lose the game, and the odds are fluctuating very hard, making her a heavy underdog even before the first set ended. I guess they started considering that the injury was actually affecting her.

Anyway, she still fought hard, and I agree: Mabuhay ka, Alex Eala. You made and will make a lot of Filipinos proud.

Alex Eala is making the Filipino community very proud. What I don't like, though, is seeing politicians trying to ride on her success. They're making congratulatory posts not because they're genuinely proud, but because they're politicians and the election is getting close again. Lol.

Anyway, I really thought Alex would make a deeper run after beating the defending champion, but she lost in the next round after her historic win. Even so, she already did an amazing job and made the whole country proud.

The odds on Alex were really great at that time. It was a nice profit for those who bet on her. After beating the defending champion, the odds completely shifted. Even though her ranking was lower, she went from being the underdog to the favorite.

Even the most sensitive topic are being used for political propaganda especially senators that planning to run the next election so I’m not surprised that they riding to any trend including this one.

Alex always lose after beating 1 or 2 biggest obstacle on the tournament she competes probably because of the fatigue while other top player was already experienced on this long term rally. Let’s wait more years until she fully developed and improve her serve.

Thank you for bringing that glory to the flag that you represent!

Sad that she could not win against a rank 13 player, even with her opponent having a smaller height than her. After winning the 2nd set, she already had the momentum, but she fell short in the last set. But what is interesting about her is that she has already beaten some top 5 players, excluding Pegula and Sabalenka. Still, it was a good journey for her. The hype was big, but it is understandable because she was making history as a Filipina player.

That ends her journey, but the good news is that even if she failed to enter the quarterfinals, her ranking is now already at 28, just one rank higher than before she played in Wimbledon. Latest update in the women’s division, Osaka fell to Muchova, and Coco Gauff also qualified for the semifinals. There are also two matches today, and the winners will play against those who are already waiting.
