A month ago, I didn't know who she was. Now, I'm rooting for her.

I failed to bet on Iga- Alex match but I did bet on Eala-Joint match. Beating Iga gave her a favorite position in the upcoming match with Paolini as seen from the odds in stake, and more than likely in other bookies as well.



And given that she comes from the Philippines,  a less known country in this kind of sports, this feat is already quite huge achievement for all Filipinos. Imo, these recent times that she has met and defeat several players from the top 10 including world number 2 and 3, it gives her plenty of confidence to continue going and believing in herself. Sad that she could not win against a rank 13 player, even with her opponent having a smaller height than her. After winning the 2nd set, she already had the momentum, but she fell short in the last set. But what is interesting about her is that she has already beaten some top 5 players, excluding Pegula and Sabalenka. Still, it was a good journey for her.
