i am all for lobbying and petitioning the governments to make peoples lives better, safer, less intrusive when politicians get involved.. but most of these protests dont lead to changes, they just end up being parades, circus shows or even just entertainment like a music concert(without the music) where paid staff get paid just to organise circus shows and organise how to get citizens lives messed around with for a central cause. basically many organisers use citizens as puppets/pawns to get the public snared up in public disorder where people get arrested but the puppet master organisers remain safe in their offices pretending to be the good guys
if only there was a citizen backed proper lobby group that uses the funds properly to activate real change
take the UK right now. we are dealing with a prime minister that had no manifesto of digital ID so we didnt vote him in with the wish of digital ID, the people dont want it so he is pushing for something that goes against the majority.. thus goes against those he is suppose to represent
with all the protests of anonymous, all the protests against 2030, all the evidence of ID theft and cloning. you would have thought even at political levels that such "mandated" ID was a bad idea, but it only seen government resistance after 3m people petitioned government and where each member of parliament was sent requests on their allegiances to either PM's plan or to the people, and where by the MP's are now actually standing up for the people to question the digital ID
if things just stayed as just street protests of people wearing masks with 'anonymous' messages and anti-2030. all that would happen is citizen arrests and that would have escalated to riots and the PM using the crimes of citizens as more reason to want to identify everyone and track everyone
so you must atleast appreciate the methods of redressing your government work better if done the right way

These demonstrations are where the lobbyist and petitioners are at with their tables and clipboards. Again: organizations like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) ----are---at---these---events. Just got back from mine, and for once, news outlets are reporting on them without violence being the only interest. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/live-blog/no-kings-protests-trump-administration-live-updates-rcna238009 (Bernie Sanders was speaking at one of them)

was there a queue to sign petitions or were most people crowded around a mobile/static music stage dressed up in cosplay, stood around listening to music from the stages, with partial interruptions to the band music for political statements whilst the bands change over and set up did you feel you redressed your government, or participated in a parade/outdoor entertainment concert

The actual marches generally take up the least amount of time for an event which many also serve as drop off/ pickup for mutual aid and many other services. 1st amendment demonstrations are one tool. These ones seem to be getting under the skin of our dear leaders administration. Not to mention that his adminstrations reaction to them seem to be waking up more of the middle and getting them outside and interested in actual policy. So... yes it is becoming an effective tool, combined with economic blackouts and all those petitions ;-) It is also showing those in our government who actually want to serve the people that they have our backing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBzoEVibeWMCongresswoman Pramila Jayapal ->Move amend repeal Citizens United https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTOPr9vhPfkBernie Sanders No Kings Rally DC | Full Speech

Bernie Sanders is one of the most consistent politicians in modern America. His message has been the same for decades; yes his message has been consistent for decades.. but realise what that means lets use an random message "i promise to make change"...... decades later (nothing changed) "i promise to make change" yes the message is the same because the change has not yet happened .. but he promises it if you just elect him again, and again and again but when will it actually change if the message was "i promise to make gay marriage legal" and decades later the message was still "i promise to make gay marriage legal" effectively means that gay marriage even after decades of promises is still not legal if the message was "i promise to make the white house a blue house" and decades later the message was still "i promise to make the white house a blue house" effectively means that the white house is still white, even after decades of promises is still not blue maybe its time to not vote for a guy whos message has not changed after decades, as it shows he has not done nothing when will his promises message actually change to "i told you i would.. so i done it. i can retire now" again electing someone with the same message after decades shows they cant complete. shows they cant finish.

If you join protests in other cities, do you sleep in a hotel at night? Or do you join the riots at night? what are you supposed to do? Is it not to join at night? When you declared to yourself you were going out from you comfort zone and you now want to enjoy while the protest is still ongoing. If you wanted to rest, the protest should not have been what you want to participate on. I am not saying because you are out for protest you should not rest on hotel when the mission is not accomplished yet

If you wanted to rest, the protest should not have been what you want to participate on. I am not saying because you are out for protest you should not rest on hotel when the mission is not accomplished yet If BADecker wants to elaborate they can. People right now want to paint all protests with a wide brush and lump them in with riots, say they are funded by billionaires, radicals ect. Most of the actions that I post here are focused on organized, coordinated, decentralized, peaceful protests. these are very basic 1st amendment actions = tame and written into our constitution. The focus is having people stay in their own communities but in multiple cities across the country at the same time --> also for those in other countries who are standing with us in solidarity. It aims to achieve the 3.5% rule. The theory is that political change can happen when 3.5% of the population participates in nonviolent protest. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20190513-it-only-takes-35-of-people-to-change-the-worldOne of the examples is the 1960's civil rights movement in America but I think they downplay several other factors that occurred at the same time. Police violence towards peaceful protestors being televised. Different perspectives on history were being revealed. A black liberation movement willing to meet violence with violence and actively exercising --all-- of their amendments including the 2nd (right to bear arms). Martin Luther King believed that violence could not create a just and moral outcome. It took him until a year before he died [was killed] to even acknowledge (not condone) that "A riot is the language of the unheard". I would say that the nonviolent movement benefited from the other. There are also ongoing anti-war and NO- ICE protests in our country and because Rene Good's Shooting went viral there are more happening now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMeApS50pI8 (New York 1-11-26) Our "no war" president is creating problems abroad and at home so that he can consolidate power and avoid the Epstein files... wait for it. https://www.democracynow.org/2026/1/9/minnesota_attorney_general_keith_ellison

^^^ Did you ever notice that most of the filings in the court system are complaints? Complain, complain, complain. Don't file a complaint. If you are harmed or damage, file a claim, and state a monetary amount ($20-billion) that satisfies how you have been harmed.
