Well ever since Trump came on board he has made lots of policies that in a long run will help reduce some illegal activities in the crypto space even though the democrats have been a bit against his policies though, however, my concern on this issue is that why is there still reduction in the value of bitcoin from the price that Trump met bitcoin to it’s current value today despite Trumps interest and involvement? sincerely i felt that with Trumps interest in bitcoin and all the policies that he has put in place that by now the value of bitcoin would have further increased from what it was when he assumed office to a higher value but it seems like the reverse is the case. Initially when he assumed office there was an increase in the market value of bitcoin up to the point that bitcoin got to an all time high but ever since then it has been in a downward trend.

Trump's sons own a company, ABTC, which is also losing money. I don't know how accurate this is, as many companies sometimes use this method to avoid excessive taxes. Most likely, Trump also didn't know the price of Bitcoin would fall, otherwise his sons would have started a different business.

@zasad@. What is your speculation on this? Is this rating on Polymarket giving us a clearer speculation that the passage of the Clarity act is going lower or is this only a speculation on what is presently happening? Also, the stocks of Circle and Coinbase are also dumping. These might be warning signs! The odds of the Clarity Act becoming law this year have fallen to their lowest level ever on crypto prediction market Polymarket, reflecting growing skepticism that Congress will pass the landmark crypto market structure legislation before the end of 2025.
As of Friday, traders gave the bill a 32% chance of passing by Dec. 31, 2026, down roughly 30 percentage points from when the market launched on Jan. 11. The odds climbed as high as 82% on Feb. 19 but have steadily declined since early May as the Senate's legislative calendar has narrowed and questions have mounted over whether lawmakers can assemble the bipartisan support needed to advance the bill.Read in full https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/07/17/polymarket-traders-cut-clarity-act-passage-odds-to-record-low-as-senate-delay-drags-on
I don't know any more than you do. If this is manipulation, we could see bad news before December of this year, and then the law will be passed in the last session before the Senate changes. We don't yet know what will happen after the Senate elections and which Republican or Democratic majority will prevail. I'm not even looking at the Polymarket results. We might know the final decision, however, the oral arguments created in the senate might not be very positive. Also, there are only 2 weeks left for oral arguments before the vote on the passage but according to Polymarket there is only a chance of 38% for the bill to become a law. Obviously the big question is will the Clarity Act pass?
While we have new text and it does have an ethics provision, the underlying dynamics of the debate don't seem to have changed very much. The key thing to note here is that while this is a crypto bill that will result in sweeping changes to how federal regulators and their jurisdictions are defined, the biggest outstanding issue doesn't really have a lot to do with that.
Democrats want a more binding ethics provision, one that will let them actually affect Trump and the $1.4 billion he made off crypto last year, while Trump and Republicans don't want that to happen.Read in full https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2026/07/26/2-weeks-left-for-clarity-state-of-crypto

This news seems a bit ridiculous because US laws are not retroactive, and Trump's billions in cryptocurrency will remain legal. Trump will pass his tokens on to his sons, but he will effectively be the one running the business. I think Trump's professional lawyers will figure out how to circumvent the new laws.

@zasad@. The latest rumor on social media is that the voting on the passage of the Clarity act will be on August 3! On Polymarket the chance that this will pass and sent to the Donald's desk in the Whitehose is still remaining only on 38%.
This will certainly be another sad occurrence for the cryptospace. Also, is this why bitcoin and altcoins are presently dumping?

If you call a $1,000 drop in Bitcoin a dump, I disagree. I think it's market volatility. There's no point in Trump's team bringing the bill to a vote unless they get preliminary support before the vote. Therefore, I believe that if the vote date is confirmed, the level of support has been reached.

Yeah, i believe so too. Though as they continue to lobby for support, it is safe to say the Democrats aren't making things any easier and more amendments to the legislation is expected, in order to reach the necessary level of support. However, the supposed date is still a rumor and i'd also not place the hopes of the bill on statistics from Polymarket.

Therefore, I believe that if the vote date is confirmed, the level of support has been reached. I am not declaring that a small drop is a dump. I am talking about the movement of bitcoin. If there people who are very much positive on the passage of the Clarity act, we would certainly witness a better movement on bitcoin. Also, the rating on Polymarket would certainly be on more than 80%. In any case, the passage of the Clarity act appears to be a fight between the group of Jamie Dimon and the group of Larry Fink! Who will win? The biggest names on Wall Street are lining up behind the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, marking one of the strongest public shows of support yet for legislation that would establish a new regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto industry and make sweeping changes to how the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission oversee the sector.
Over the past week, firms including BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Goldman Sachs and SoFi have all urged Congress to pass the bill, arguing that clear rules would protect investors, give companies regulatory certainty and help the U.S. stay competitive as digital assets become more mainstream.
The wave of endorsements also highlights a growing divide within traditional finance. While asset managers and some banks have embraced the legislation, JPMorgan Chase has been at odds with Coinbase (COIN) over tighter restrictions around stablecoin yield and has backed changes sought by the banking industry, arguing that certain provisions could give stablecoin issuers an unfair advantage over traditional deposits.Read in full https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2026/07/28/blackrock-fidelity-other-wall-street-giants-back-the-clarity-act

I'm trying to analyze this from my own perspective and not rely on the opinions of article authors. What does the CLARITY Act do for Bitcoin and how should its adoption impact its price? Bitcoin has already been the subject of extensive judicial review in the US, and it is classified as a digital commodity in the US. The SEC has long since stopped targeting large crypto companies and hasn't tried to challenge Bitcoin's status as a digital commodity. Tax legislation regarding Bitcoin has long been established. I want to say that the CLARITY Act won't do anything fundamentally new for Bitcoin.

It has recently gained popularity in the trading learning market, and there has been a lot of discussion about it on social media because some experts who consider themselves good traders claim that this pattern works very well to profit from Bitcoin, but I believe that Bitcoin does not rely on a single method of operation. Bitcoin's price fluctuates and remains stable, and it is linked to global news, both positive and bad, about cryptocurrency.
I have not comprehended such a pattern until now, but I have thoroughly analysed it for myself and succeeded. However, I cannot succeed at every new price because the market is driven by news, which confuses our brains. That is why it fluctuates, indicating that it serves no single purpose. Both the pattern and the person who teaches it should be avoided so that we do not spend time and can trade using our own knowledge.
