Welcome to this thread, I hope you will like your time here as well.
Thank you dude.
There are signs I will like my time here. I visited the service few days ago and discovered that they have some ridiculously low swap fee as low as 0.04%. I don't know how true it is, but I'll find out in a jiffy as I am going to test the service.

...I would have left the exchange the first time, as there was a hack in Binance too but it was before I entered into crypto so I did not worry much hehe.

Was there ever a hack in binance? I am not aware. How did it happen and when? Was it in its early days? Were people adequately compensated? If there's a link, I'll be willing to read.

I just did some digging and managed to find a clone that somehow remained undetected [they didn't even try to register a similar domain, so maybe that's why] or it was just part of the recent update that they just made: Archived version of galniw.com [in case it doesn't work, here's another "
You did an amazing job finding this site. I am surprised, really, because how could you find this while the name was even different? And is it really true that the site has been created since 2024 and it stayed undetected until now?

This could also mean the site has got no victims yet. Otherwise, they would be looking for the main official platform and contacting them for returns. We need to report sites like this for the growth of the platform. The team did not mention the site in their last post, but thanks for sharing. Maybe the team was not aware of it as well.

It's really strange to see such domain name that's not matching the original domain name at all, anyone who's even a little bit technical would see the domain name and avoid it directly, but those who're less technical could still fall for such phishing sites and get scammed. Personally, I think most scammers try to make a similar domain name in different extension so users might consider those as mirror of the original site, but again such type of totally different domain name also could be set by scammers. The reason to set a different domain name than the original one could be to not get down by registrars. Really, SFR10 did an amazing job by finding that domain name.

We're happy to share another mini-report!

Bitcoin’s one-year realized volatility was near 42% at the end of the second quarter, close to multi-year lows despite price weakness. https://t.co/7a1gGutFzI

Thank you, but I only ran plagiarism tests with a few tools before it showed up on one of them [a reverse image search can sometimes also help in finding such clones].

And is it really true that the site has been created since 2024 and it stayed undetected until now?
I'm not sure, but I think whoever registered that domain in Q4 of 2024 parked it until recently [most likely], hence having no traces whatsoever.

It is damn true, brother. Once you test it out, you will realize how freaking fast it is. The fee is just one thing. You should check their deep exchange mode. You can send one asset and can receive as many as you want and in as many wallets as you want according to your need because you can change the amount easily with the percentage bar.

Was there ever a hack in binance? I am not aware. How did it happen and when? Was it in its early days? Were people adequately compensated? If there's a link, I'll be willing to read.

Hackers are very smart these days, the exchanges that don't have good security or protection mechanism can get hacked multiple times, that's why they were able to hack WazirX multiple times. I don't think anyone would ever want to use an exchange that got hacked many times, that's why Indian people can't trust WazirX anymore and they want a reliable and trustworthy option like Binance.
Since the technology is developing rapidly, hackers can have varied ways. If the exchanges don't improve the technology of their security, it is very reasonable that hackers can treat them multiple times. Well, I'm sure there are still people who use the WazirX. If there is no longer people using the WazirX, it must be closed soon.

The problem is not with the exchange, I would say. The people who keep trusting the same exchange even after the 2nd time do not deserve our empathy because they did it to themselves. They should have left an exchange like this the first time it got hacked and should have used the one with a lot of liquidity.
We can totally blame the users of exchanges. They may have no many choices, it may be one of the best exchanges in their country. However, I agree, it is better to stop using the exchanges if they look having no strong security system.

This is amazing, the deep exchange feature is great. With this there might be little/no need for mixers. Just browse privately and use the deep change feature and you are good.

Thanks for this. I rolled on the floor while laughing. Through the reddit link, I saw a meme video of CZ - Funds are Safu and it really made my night. Many things had happened in this crypto space. Anyone care to watch? Grin

And the hacked funds were even sent to a very popular mixer which had a strong prsence in this forum , chipmixer.
CM was seized a few months later ..

That's a good approach, yes a reverse image search can be helpful to find such clones but that plagiarism test method sounds quite good, it will help find the domains that get some traffic if I get it right.

Since the technology is developing rapidly, hackers can have varied ways. Yes, that's very true, in times AI technology is developing rapidly, every platform should fix their security otherwise the platform and its users will bear the consequences. There have been some models released by Anthropic in past that were capable to find multiple vulnerabilities in code of different software, such AI models are good at finding buffer overflows. A model released by Anthropic was able to find a bug in OpenBSD that was 27 year old bug undetected by anyone. So I think if such models are capable of doing bug finding at such rates then in future most exchanges will have to improve their security to survive in the market.
