~ I already fantasied the things I was going to get and how I was going to get some electronics and new pieces of furniture for my apartment with the profits I will make from this.
Not to bore you with a long narration we lost it on the third day and I regretted not making some withdrawal after the second day and continued with some part of the profits, we were greedy I guess but we plan on making another attempt but this time we think of applying some withdrawal at some point and not go all in till the last day we proposed for the game.
So have you had similar experience? How did you handle it? Did you try again? If yes what did you do differently on your second trial?.
This is always the case if you can already imagine in your mind how you will spend money that you don't have. You've been dreaming about new furniture and electronics in vain. Other times, it's better not to imagine anything like that, but to accept a possible loss in advance. What you and your friend tried in doing is called a rollover. Where you will gamble with a particular amount today with a multiplier of 2x or 3x perhaps 5x like you guys planned. I have tried this strategy too and it definitely sounds possible when we discuss it but one thing i have realize about this strategy is that we don't necessarily need to go all in each day. If you want to have profit from this strategy, then try using only the capital or the profit made for the first day. Do it like that for the 5 days before you go all in. It is a risk you are taking but a least if things dont work out you won't lose your bankroll.
That's good advice.

It is just proof and evidence that there is no guideline and strategy to winning, especially in sports bets or other games that involve luck. Particularly, to win, you just have to have fun and then make your best bets. Fantasies will always exist, but it is your job to keep them under control because they lead to expectations like you had where you were already budgeting the money that has not yet come, @OP.

I love this comment. Take profits and continue with the capital. A risk management strategy. The second risk management strategy is to not go all in each day. If the OP and his friend will try it again after taking some of the useful comments here I, think that the story will be very different. I have only had this experience once but it was from a loss and not a win. I am a champion of taking profit. What if it doesn't work out as the OP planned again the second time. This is the problem that we have when we are gambling, we feel that it was our mistake that made use lose the game and fail to understand the fact that luck wasn't on our side. I believe that if OP bets the second time, he might lose his first bet and there would be no room to take out his capital. Winning isn't by our own doings but by luck.

In my opinion, for good bankroll management, if you started with, for example, $100 on a multi bet with odds of @5.00, you would be left with $500. On the next bet, you would have to put $100 back on a bet with odds of @5.00. You have to repeat this process at least 4 or 5 times, this to have a large bankroll and then you would start putting $200 on each bet with odds of @5.00. I have done this sometimes, of course in my case I put small amounts, less than $5 on each bet.

Recently I had an experience gambling which I felt I should share to know if some other persons has had similar experiences too.
I was in a conversation with a friend who gambles and we taught to ourselves we could gradually build up some huge amount gambling if only we can forget about hitting it big at a go and gradually build and within a period of time we could actually still hit it big at the end if the day . It came off as a very brilliant idea so we both bought into it and here's what the plan was. We agreed that for four days we are going to make selections that will sum up to 5 odds and for everyday we win our stakes are going to increase by 5x and then we will go all in with the whole funds won, so I made a rough calculation and by the end if the four days I was expected to make at least a thousand dollars by the time I converted the money equivalent in my local currency to dollars. I already fantasied the things I was going to get and how I was going to get some electronics and new pieces of furniture for my apartment with the profits I will make from this.

You need to work with bankroll. If you withdraw a part of money after win - you decrease your possible profit, but increase your tries number. With odds 5 you can withdraw 1-2 your bet size. Or you can do it each second step for example. It will decrease your risks but your next run you can repeat using won money.

It seems both of you testing out until where does the luck could bring your gambling journey likewise which is ended up losing most of your capital. Its already charge to experience to make a cashout and make a separate capital for the total number of wins you can take home and the another set of capital for the another games so you don't waste your time and money at all in a single day, imagine if you didn't lose that all you can still recover at least half of it and you can try again if you lose that's part of it will if you win good because you gain more profit. Always manage the risk and the amount you are willing to bet.

It seems to me that even if you do not withdraw funds at all, no one can guarantee that tomorrow they will not lose everything again. When betting on sports you should be ready to lose your bankroll and not once, because the results of any gambling are very much dependent on chance. Even if you always bet only on a seemingly win-win match with low odds one day you can lose everything. Trying to make money on gambling should not forget that the bookmaker always has an advantage over bettor.

Not a regular gambler but already tried it when I am still active on a particular gambling site. What I dont like with this strategy was the fact that I couldnt earn consecutively with the allloted capital. If ever weve got profits surely thats become a capital and tolerable risk for conrinue gambling.

I’m always thinking this way whenever I’m on positive PnL on my gambling session. It’s normal to dream what you will purchase in case you win because that’s the fun on winning gambling games. You should not consider as your own money those funds that still inside the casino balance because you can easily bust it with just one greedy bet just like what you did. It happened to me a lot of time that’s I always withdraw my funds immediately the moment I won already a decent amount to secure my profit.

In gambling which is usually full of unexpected things, even though you have a lot of great plans, it will not always go 100% according to your wishes. Having excessive expectations is the wrong way to gamble, because from the start you have planted a big win before everything started. Gamblers who focus more on the end result and forget that the process of each bet will take a greater risk, so next time in gambling please always put aside expectations.

It seems to me that you shouldn't chase the result in monetary terms, but rather understand better the type of gambling you are participating in. And this is important. I used to love to dream, both alone and with friends, but we realized that luck does what it wants, and we only try to influence the result with our small efforts. You need to understand this and accept that sometimes you can't do anything about the situation that Luck has created for you. I used to love poker and didn't set myself the task of earning 1000. I just studied the theory and tried different strategies.

Have not embarked on such betting strategies as I don't gamble and accumulate my funds or balance in the gambling site to achieved a specific amount of funds before withdrawals, usually when I gamble whatever amounts I made I pull it off straight without gambling as a compounding or compounded profits which to be withdrawn either within a specific period of time. I picked few games which I found confident at and bet after which if I win I pull of my winning and if lose then I let it go for good without putting much interest of I had already lost. It's always better to gamble and pull off your winnings than leaving them with the mindset of hitting a specific amount within predetermined period of time.

That’s the strategy so we can keep playing the game. It’s always like that. If we follow our plan, where we cash out some profit after a win and leave a bit to keep playing, that works for a while. But once we lose, the next move is usually to deposit again. Maybe not the same day, but eventually (maybe the next day) we still come back to play. So it really just comes down to how long we can survive. But in the long run, most of us still end up losing.

It is different if he lost on the first bet. Since we are not really talking about losing in the first bet. Let's take it in a way that if he loses in his first bet then he can stop because he is being unlucky. However, the strategy i spoke about isn't perfect, but if OP and his friends were lucky to win in their first bet it will be less risky to try the strategy out. The good thing is that OP won't lose a dine since the main capital is left out while gambling with the profit. If he continues with that same pattern, he isn't losing anything even if he lost all the profit on the last game. The capital still remains intact.

Sometimes what we plan does not go as we hope. So is the gambling plan. I have never had such an experience, it's just related to greed. It seems almost every gambler has experienced it. Continuing to increase bets will only increase the risk of loss. We must learn from experience and enjoy every victory we can get. Because today and tomorrow we can win, but we never know that the day after tomorrow we can lose everything. If you have ever fallen for the first scheme, of course, you don't want to fall for the same reason, even though you may improve in some parts.

This is a good way where most of the duo friends go, and I also have such a good friend with whom we can discuss our new business ideas and start working on them. Personally, I like your thoughts, but I think it would make us fall into debt if we go with an excessive number of shots. You can make profits and add those profits to another bet to get more profits, and you will increase it day by day, but it will just make you addicted, and the chances of losing are high. The best way is to keep some distance from gambling, not because of the fear of loss, but to sustain your profits for a long time.

Yes, I had similar experiences... so many of them. Oh yes, I tried again & again & again. How did I handle it? Professionally! When I get into the money (yes, sometimes I manage to win some nice amount), I move to slots, or some other game! I guess everything depends on the mood in that moment. And sometimes I just lose and that's it... I curse a bit & then I just wish myself more luck next time! It's not like we can do anything else... and stay sane! Good luck!

At the beginning when you said little I was not think you would say five odds because it is actually difficult to predict five odds. You might think it's a piece of cake and honestly it is but when the game starts and some games are not just cooperating then you would understand that gambling is always a fifty/fifty chance regardless of the odds. Well don't know if you guys are giving up but entering gambling without thinking you can lose is actually a big mistake in the first place, so go back to the drawing board and plan on what to do when things goes bad.

This whole setup is more common than people admit. It feels strategic, but it’s still probabilistic gambling pretending to be a plan. And the emotional trajectory you rode is the exact cycle many people fall into without realizing it’s just the same dopamine circuit with fancier wrapping
What I find more interesting, though, is not that you lost on day three. It’s that you learned something and still want to play again, but with adjustments. That’s development. That’s system-level adaptation. Most people loop the same behavior and just call it bad luck. You’re actually tweaking parameters
Is it gambling if you’re trying to engineer the risk away? Can a repeated gamble become investment just by adding structure? Or are we just shifting the furniture inside the same casino logic and calling it strategy? That’s the narrative you built gave you purpose, control, and identity for a few days. It was a mini project of belief

This approach work's, but not the most effective, since taking profits as you gamble and win is far more satisfying than rolling over your winnings to the next day, setting a 2x multipliers each day and gambling with the accumulated amount increases your risk of losing your money on a 2x basis, so we need to have an understanding of that before we adopt such an approach, but if it works for you, why not, you can follow your strategy, but note that it may not work out well as thought.
