i think im pretty obsessed and i see why people call it culty.
i watch documentarys on youtube, watch movies when they come on streaming sites. buy books about it, buy bit coin merch , use it as much as i can to buy things, mine it on weak computers just for fun. play mobile games to earn a sat, check out forums, talk to people about it.

The section where you posted the op is correct, now about your question, I'll just ask you first, what movie are you talking about here? bitcoin movie? what title? I'm just a little curious so I can watch it too. Because there are other movies I've watched that just insert bitcoin or cryptocurrency into the character lines for a few seconds because of AML (anti-money laundering).

I'm not obsessed with Bitcoin either, though I know that it really has potential in the long-term and since I can't afford to buy 1 bitcoin, I'm just going through accumulation
so that at least I can save some bitcoin for the next bull season.

Being obsessed with Bitcoin is good if we have enough knowledge, understand the risks, and also know the best way to make it profitable. And all that is done without causing any loss or burden to ourselves and can be done safely and comfortably.

And personally obsessed with Bitcoin, because I can control it completely and no company or anyone and also the government controls it and it is completely decentralized, and most importantly because Bitcoin is very profitable and can change my life for the better especially in terms of finance and this is what makes me excited when there is talk about Bitcoin in real life.

I would call you a bitcoin enthusiast or a big fan of bitcoin, rather than a bitcoin obsessive. Because by definition, obsessions mean uncontrollable, repetitive behaviors and thoughts that negatively impact your life, from work to relationships…and that's definitely not a good thing.

This is a curious thread.
Obsessed means that you can't stop doing something. With Bitcoin what happens to me is that I want to talk about it a lot. If this is considered an obsession then I am obsessed, but normally obsessions have a negative sense, whereas Bitcoin is only positive in my humble opinion.

I wouldn't call it as much of an obsession I think the term I would use is constant. It has been a true contant obsessu9n for me over the past 8 years for me. I've had fun with the altcoins and nfts and pfps and all sorts of things like that and I'm into the collectibles so you can also say I am pretty obsessed tho too haha

Talking about being obsessed, there are many definition about being obsessed but I will take this definition according to Cambridge dictionary that says obsessed meansunable to stop thinking about something; too interested in or worried about something:  so if you as me if am obsessed about Bitcoin then I will say yes because Iia too interesting not to think about. I am very curious about Bitcoin thats why I am trying My Best to accumulate alot of starsh to my wallet and HODL. Why I am too obsessed about Bitcoin is that I was not fortunate enough to have taken it seriously when it was way or less cheaper compeard to its current value. So I should be obsessed to take it more serious because it worth to be obsessed for.

Anyway, I wouldn't call myself obssesed with BTC currently, I had my time with it some years back though where I was intrigued by the asset and wanted to learn about it, check various wallets, keep up with it's developments but right now I am on sidelines.

I think everyone goes through this obsessed phase when they find something new and interesting but after a while this phase passes, at least it was so in my case.

Is there any negative thing in liking bitcoin? Obsessively or not? I guess all things too much can be disruptive as well. Like if you are too obsessed with bitcoin and you do not go out and you just watch the market closely. Of course this will give you profit since learning about the market closely can give you advantages but you also have to understand that balance is life is needed. We also need to have other hobbies and not bury ourselves into work too much. Or else you might just burn out.

Obsession is never a good thing. I am not obsessed with bitcoin but I have its uses and hence I have my interest in it. I would never advice anyone to consider bitcoin as a "cult/fanatical" thing or be obsessed with it because it leads to madness.

I find the long term store of value good in bitcoin and its properties of being decentralized and being resistant to government censoring methods useful but I dislike the fact that without electricity and internet we are stuck with bitcoin.

Do not take any whitepaper as bible or that sort, this is not a religion.
I hope people remember the "All Hail Jay" scene from MIB-2.

I think this is how newbie feels, I was once like this back when I was a newbie.
I would try to search and learn about it, there was also a time when I bought a t-shirt and customized ring with Bitcoin logo.

Right, you are pretty obsessed with bitcoin, but I can see you are doing it in a positive way. So there’s no big deal with it, as long as you don’t compromise yourself just to finance all of your obsession, though you’re doing it a slight way, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Way back then, I was also a little bit obsessed with bitcoin. I do everything just to maximize my knowledge and even want to gain eager profits with bitcoin. But as time goes by, the longer you stay in the forum, the more you understand yourself how to manage your bitcoin obsession. It’s not good, but it’s not bad either. You just have to keep things balanced between you and bitcoin.

Another obsession is what they wear, will have Bitcoin written over it, they will be checking on the Bitcoin price every few minutes, and they will spread the awareness of Bitcoin everyone they go, if it is in the market

It's a lot of interest, not an obsession, probably - but still, one should still understand all the risks (no matter how minimal they are) tied to BTC and the activities with it.

I think I agree with this because I have an interest in Bitcoin, because I like its use cases and how it has become the reason for us to have a market where we can make money. Yes, Bitcoin was the foundation of the crypto space, and today, it's pretty big, and people are making so much money through this space. It has also become the reason for so many unbanked people to have something to rely on, and also a tool for those to manage their finances themselves who never liked or were fond of the traditional financial systems.

There is no shame in saying that I like Bitcoin, I like cryptocurrencies as a whole, but since Bitcoin was the one who introduced us to all others, we like it more than others, and so many people, including me, are earning money because of Bitcoin. So, I don't think we can call it an obsession, but it's more like a general fondness or likeness.

I love Bitcoin, but I think all of us go through what feels like a kind of first love with it. When you first discover it, everything feels magical, everything starts to make sense, and you become completely obsessed with consuming as much content about it as possible. But as time goes on, things begin to feel more natural, and Bitcoin simply becomes a part of your life, without all the excessive obsession. You love it, but it's a pure and natural feeling, and it feels like it's always been part of your life, like there was never a 'before'. I think this happens to everyone...

It has its advantages and disadvantages because the one who has passion within him works with heart and hard work, this is his advantage and sometimes passion also gives losses which happens in haste. If we talk about the passion of Bitcoin, then it will definitely go into losses because in crypto, peace is needed, not madness. This is our thinking and dream of success and in fact, you are right that this is not madness.

This work is done only when there is too much time or there is a work that can be done even if it is a loss. Apart from this, there are also some difficult tasks in which we have to give ourselves peace so that the work can be done well and well. Do your work with a sense of duty and not with deceit, which we have called madness.
