Occasional Poker Rounds

Hi guys, as we have had amazing sponsored poker rounds, everyone knows we will have times when some of us want to play some poker, but effort and money is due to organize it ourselves. This thread serves as a discussion board about the formats, the buy ins and the schedules that would work for us, and feel free to chime in with creative ideas. I like to play whenever I have time and I am open to pretty much all kinds of poker. While I am ok with higher buy ins ($50 or more), I think for the more frequent rounds we should find a sweet spot in order to have as many people on board as possible. We can't please everyone and I think we all want some thrill, but if it turns out that several people would not pay more than $20 for instance, then let's go with that and organize additional rounds for higher buy ins.

I suggest a little format to get an overview of the specific interests everyone here would like to be considered. I'll give an example:

Please use this format because I will collect everyone's details in the next post. That gives all of us an overview and the possibility to extend or adjust our own format if we see what others like and whether we want to be part of a certain category.

Good thread. I am in, whatever the conditions will be.  . Hopefully, we will have some regular buy-in-based tournaments/cash tables running every week. Poker is the perfect kind of game to come together and hang out with friends, I am sure we can have some regulars for cash games as well, IMO, it is a very good idea to ask for personalized time slots for that. It's good to see so many poker-related threads and discussions going on in the gambling-related sections.

@AHOYBRAUSE, you are very welcome to drop yours too. I would love to play some Omaha against you and I am fine with lower stakes, I will take it seriously against you for any amount because I want a serious thinker against me.


As for chess, this is only for the players here who we 100% trust. There is no other way to run a chess tournament than purely being based on trust. Everyone can run an engine. Just see some Nakamura videos on Youtube, he detects them based on their moves. We can't do that reliably, so only players should be accepted that can be trusted. It is a skill game that turns into a trust game. Let's see if we can make something out of it. I know memehunter is on it and he wants to make it happen.

How about May 4th, 20 USD buy in? I am fine with any buy in, let me know what you guys like and let's play. We can be creative and create a fund of 50% of every buy in and then make a festival every few months, you get the point. Let me know.

I'm generally busy... but I could find half an hour to an hour (sometimes more) with some advance notice. So if you know when you are free and can offer some times, that would be great.

I love duels, after all, a duel is the final moment of every tournament. Duels at cash tables and duel tournaments are different, at least from my perspective. Anyway, let's try it... I guess you have some rules on your mind.

Yes. For anything please PM me since I do not use telegram notification bot and such things. I use forum search and this is not a good reliable tool.

These are private games specifically for the members of this forum so there are no country restrictions whatsoever. Since we will be playing using our own buy-ins, there is no wagering requirement as well, prizes will be paid directly to your wallet.

Sorry, not using the telegram notifications thing so I just found this thread by accident. Most people play NLH anyway but since that's too boring for me I won't play those. Playing the freerolls was already annoying enough, haha. We can talk about some heads-up Omaha (5 or 6 card) though.
