Would be kinda cool to create a bitcoin funded natural reserve.

There are no CONFIRMED cases of cannibalism in the Amazon. However there are in New Guinea as you said.

The Ache of Paraguay practiced cannibalism until 1990. But they live in a region which is known as Chaco (outside the Amazon). Cannibalism was practised by the Tupi of Eastern Brazil (outside Amazonia) until the 18th century, when most of the Tupian tribes were exterminated. Amazonian Tupi never practiced cannibalism.

Out of the 2,000 nations (around 10,000 to 15,000 tribes) which populated South America before the European contact, only some 200 have survived to this date (~1,000 tribes). Most of the survivors are heavily assimilated.

Only some 70 tribes are uncontacted (completely isolated). There are no reports of any cannibalism among them. Most of these tribes number less than 20 individuals and live in pockets of forest surrounded by ranches. I have studied some two dozen of these tribes as a part of my project work. I found that the population is declining in 80% of the cases, while 20% of the tribes (mostly in the Javari) showed stable population.

There are another 70 or 80 tribes, such as the Yanomami and Xavante who have preserved their traditions. But they have also abandoned cannibalism.

Thanks you, I was obviously trolling, I love rainforests and all but I am not rich enough to go and see rainforest in person and definitely too poor to buy one ;-)

You don't have to be rich inorder to save the rain forest. For example, while buying furniture buy the brands which don't use illegally sawn wood. Spread the word around.

Most of the native reservations are currently flooded with illegal miners and loggers. A lot of these people are dying due to Malaria and other epidemics brought in by the invaders. But still, deforestation seems to be lower in native reservations, as compared to the surrounding public lands. It is clear from RAISG's map:

Even against the 18th century muskets, the poison tipped spears and arrows were of no use. To exterminate the 20,000 strong Botocudo tribe, the Portuguese needed just a few dozen men, each armed with nothing more than muskets and swords. The death ratio was around 1:10,000



On the otherhand, the natives of US (such as the Comanche) had more success against the invaders.

People there can do anything with the land you "own" with you not even knowing it.

In the Brazilian Amazon, the land sale is normally conducted in bulk amounts. Individual plots may measure 5,000 Ha. or more. Smaller plots might not be impossible to obtain, but they will be extremely expensive.

i cant because im here in the philippines
there is also some island here for sale on the north part of the country some local folks there selling their land at a very low price its near in the sea facing pacific ocean (not sure) and still part of siera madre mountain they called it honeymoon island

He want to do a trip, to actually see the rainforest.
I want this too. But as Slark wrote, there are people who can't afford to do this, despite they work hard every day, me included.
This is quite sad.
