I feel like money line is more easier than point spread in sports betting, it's just easier to pick the option if any team  to win than betting on any of the teams to lead with a certain number of points...this is only going to make it more complex...what if they win and the point doesn't get up to what was predicted, it would become a wasted effort and a wasted opportunity.. I prefer to avoid things that might end up ruining my bet.

Point spread has its own advantage over ML. Live betting is the best scenario which point spread is much easier to win compared to ML because you will have margin on points if you choose + point spread.

Teams typically make a crucial run on the last quarter that usually cut the leas of the leading team. This is where point spread will be handy if you bet when the leading team is on the peak while the underdog team manage to have a mini short run to cut the lead even on the slightest number.

You will have no chance of winning if you are betting only with ML if the result is already not in favor to the team that you bet especially if you are betting with underdog.

You know that some people are very skilled in sports betting, you could see the moneyline to be so easy for you meanwhile someone else see both as very easy for them to bet using any of those patterns randomly. Someone could also prefer point spread over the first one because that's more comfortable for them.

I do agree that it's not that complicated, I mean it's like choosing the winner between the two, so how easy it is? The thing with ML though is that most of the time, the odds are not that appealing and attractive.

There were even odds as all as 1.01 for some games that it's just a waste of time for bettors to put their money on it. That's why it's preferable to do point spread but still depends on how you see the game as it could be a trap or the spread is just to big for a team to cover.

I think I’ll just stick to betting on the moneyline, it’s much simpler and feels safer since I’m only picking who will win, without having to worry about how many goals or points they’ll win by. Point spread is too risky for me. I cant tolerate risking my bankroll on it.

In the end what we choose should be based on how safe or more risky we want to be. Moneline safer and less risky, the profit is comfortable while point spread is highly risky, the profits are very high compared to the moneyline.
^^
I fully understand your preference for (Moneyline)as a safe and simple option, especially for bettors who aim to minimise complexities and risks. Indeed, focussing on determining the direct winner removes the pressure of predicting the pip differences, which makes this strategy ideal for beginners or those who prefer stability.
In balanced matches (such as two teams with 1.8 chances vs 1.9),Moneyline may be an excellent option because returns are reasonable with average risk.
In unbalanced matches like a team with 1.1 vs 8.0 chances, Point Spread could be useful! Example: If you bet on the weak team with a difference of +3 goals in football, you may win even if the team loses 2-1, while Moneyline here will give little or no return.

Have you ever tried keeping a record to compare the two? And what did you find, which one’s actually more profitable?

It’s easier to pick which team will win, so most people go for the moneyline. But the odds can kill your profit, since the favorites usually have really low payouts. So then you start thinking about betting on the point spread, where the payout is more balanced.

But are we really doing that kind of comparison? Or are we just betting based on gut feeling following our instincts without even knowing if we’re actually winning in the long run?

People go for point spread because of the odds but to be on the safe side it's better to go with moneyline. I don't have a problem with any of them, sometimes I stake on both of them, I just split my bet into two, one on the moneyline and the other on point spread. It's a game of luck it's possible to win from any of them. But if I intend to stake a evey high amount then I don't go for any other option than money line

You honestly made me laugh..  What are you talking about - moneyline is safe?! Have you ever placed a sports bet before?

Let me tell you, no matter how low the odds are, even at 1.01 it’s never a sure thing. There was even a report before of a bettor who went all-in on a 1.01 moneyline… and still lost. Imagine that heartbreak.  So that “safe” moneyline myth? Totally busted.

Check this thread out if you haven’t already, it’ll open your eyes.
