I have never believed any of these stories, looking at these billionaires already old enough to where spending money is not their problem, has never stopped from making progress in their field to generate more income, all the progress with more wealth being created are to charities, i doubt already as of now their children are multi millionaires, all children have their shares in various companies and investments, no way that all these goes to charities when they know for themselves how difficult it is to create wealth, most of them spent half of their life's building to where they are now.

It's a good thing if part of their wealth goes to charity, most of them do charities when alive, in continuation of their memories, they may still want that legacy and keep the charity as shares instead of giving out all as cash.

I think it's partly about the people or their sufferings and mostly about himself, or any billionaire who does this. I mean, why would someone need to make it public if they decide to give back to those in need when they have so much wealth? If I'm a billionaire, and I genuinely only want to help people in need and give charity without having to make a name for myself and have publicity from this act, I wouldn't make it public because you can make donations anonymously, or even if you don't do it anonymously, you can always do it and don't tell anyone or make it public.

If you are making a donation, or even deciding to give away most of your wealth in charity, but then you are making that public by talking about it everywhere and letting everyone know, I'm sorry but I don't buy it that you are doing it for the people because if that was the case, no one would need to know.
