I visited my old neighbourhood sometimes ago, i left there like two years ago and when I visited I saw some guy's that I use to know in the vicinity looking really rough and unwell, when I asked one of the boys with me what seems to be the problem, he said they have become heavily consuming ICE one of the baddest hard drugs that have caused many youth's to lose their mental balance.

He went further to inform me that about 3 boys from that environment have been taken to psychiatric hospital and are being treated for madness at the moment, so this make me wonder what really the gains with all this things,

While you have said it all,but to me we are all adults and adults take care of their self ,I remember back days when I was in school,all my roommates do smoke we are 12 in number in one room they all smoke but I have been the only person who doesn't smoke,okay did I die or was anything wrong doing that,some people when they see that they are alone ,they will start doing things that they haven't done before, smoke things they haven't taken before,but actually all this drugs can be avoided right but what really happened,so it depends the way you keep your self that's when some one might decide to be smoking,if not smoking I don't see anything in it ,and I can't smoke,.

Some say that they get inspirations from taken hard drugs some days it calms their nerves and reduces any form of anxiety or depression, whichever way it is and whatever could be the reason why anyone will indulge in taking hard drugs I will say that those hard drugs may not really become toxic if they are being taken on a lower quality, the major problem is that they abuse whatever they are taking where it now becomes a problem, we all know that too much of anything is bad and the worst part is that even when they see that what they are taking is not good for them they find it difficult to quite because of addiction, every one should take full responsibility for their actions this is where I rest my case.

Regardless all of this negative happenings caused by hard drugs in our society they will never stop taking it. You know one thing in all this drugs things once you have become addicted to it and becomes more of a part of your daily routine it takes only the grace of God for you to get rid of it. Some persons cannot stay a minute without taking this drugs, I know of someone who can’t even eat food except he take hard drugs or smoke. These are the dangers of too much in take of this hard drugs because you’re gradually getting addicted to it and it comes a time in your life where you can’t live without hard drugs. There are various programs from individual centered campaigns to institutional and government programs to increase social awareness about the negative effects of drugs. I think family awareness is more important than state campaigns for drug control.   The dangers of too much intake of hard drugs for the average Nigeria student could be memory loss before, during or after examinations. Some of the  students that take hard drugs believe taking  hard drugs helps them  to be pass examinations. They strongly believe that If they don't get "HIGH" they can't read and this has led to so many of them failing exams and dropping out of school.

And as we know, more drop outs creates more security threats and other bad social vices  for our dear society. Because this too much intake of hard drugs will definitely lead to addiction and addiction will lead to spending spree which in turn leads to poverty. And poverty will lead to stealing just to buy hard drugs. More reasons why thieves and scammers have polluted our society. Some of these youths that are into internet fraud end up spending the money on hard drugs. Because it appears that their whole life depends on it.

 Too much of hard drugs intake can affect the economy of a nation. One thing about drug addiction is that it leads to less of productivity at work place. Imagine having 50℅  of your employees as drug addicts.

 Nigeria needs the NDLEA to wake up from her sleep and slumber. Funny how it has become a normal thing to showcase drug abuse on social media nowadays. People are no longer afraid of smoking hards drugs and boastfully posting about it . It has become a thing of the past to hide it from the prying eyes of elderly ones and even parents. the way drugs don show my friends she for my eye, I no go ever advise my enemy make he start am even with jokes. Hard drugs na very bad stuff to get yourself into, it is an act that can easily destroy your life regardless of how beautiful it seems from beginning.   I agree with your point that provision of  job opportunities by the government can help curb crimes but is that the end of it? We know that  even though crimes will be reduced it will still not be done completely because of the issue of addiction which is very common with hard drug users nowadays.
   And One thing about this drug addiction is that once it hits you , It will look as if your whole life constantly depends on it. So something that your life constantly depends on really needs constant supply and constant supply is not free. In fact some of these hard drugs are very cost.
   When a drug addict notices that he/she  can no longer afford the cost of hard drugs , he/she will have no other option than  to find possible alternatives so as to get uninterrupted access to it. And such alternatives could come in various criminal schemes such as stealing, internet fraud, kidnapping etc. All of these alternatives will definitely come when the addict has spent a good portion of his salary on hard drugs.
