There are cases of wealthy people who became broke because of gambling addiction and just like you have said most of them don’t have troubles like the poor because they have enough money to cover their expenses unlike those who are managing and are using the little funds they have to gamble leaving themselves with nothing.

Some people might argue that Drake is not addicted to gambling because he only gambles once in a while but the truth is that how well do they know what he’s doing behind camera? Yeah, that's correct. Both have different reasons on why they gamble and the rich just have the deeper wallet which is why it takes longer for them to realize that they are addicted to gambling.
