Why don't the rich people get addicted easily?

That's what I sometimes think too they play just for fun, and maybe to socialize, but as in everything, there are always some who become greedy and with a lot of money , because they see large amounts when they win and when they lose , but the tendency for me of the rich is to take good care of their money.

You might be right some people who are greedy might be addicted but those who are upperclass people and who are the real rich people not by born but by their hardwork whther it is business or something else they might not be addicted into gambling as they might not have enough free time. Actually I think free time makes people to do anything and the highest percentage goes to gambling.

I agree with you to some extent, having enough free time could be considered one of those factors that makes people to be addicted to gamble both rich and the poor. some rich people might have enough free time which they may likely want to spend it in gamble and if they are not discipline enough they may likely end up becoming gambling addict and so as a poor guy who literally have all day to do whatever he want due to lack of job, he might decide to prioritize gambling since it seems to be the only available chance they have / or alternative.

The problem is that even if a poor person wins, they will spend everything on gambling again because winning is not enough.He also need financial literacy, which they most likely do not have, so it's a vicious circle. People above the middle class understand how finances work and understand what risks are and how to avoid them so as not to become poor.

This is an open question, maybe I could be wrong in the eye of some of you but am asking this question because a  large number of addicted gamblers are not even up to a middle class standard but they are addicted. Can someone tell me why it's like that or is it totally a different case in your society, maybe an opposite of what I asking is happening in your own society. Poor people gets more addicted, following the middle class before it gets to the rich. Since it's like that, I think it's just the poor people that are gambling the most in the world, if am not correct, I stand to be corrected.

Well, maybe because we have different social statuses, that makes us have different views on things. But there are also wealthy people who still get addicted. Just look at the high rollers tab, those are wealthy people. Even if, let’s say, they are going beyond their means, the fact that they can come up with such amounts still proves they are wealthy. If you look closely or observe, they are betting those amounts not just once. With them as an example, wealthy people can still get addicted. There’s also a businessman in our town proper. Their business has been prospering and running since I was a kid, but this year they sold some of their space not because the business isn’t doing well, but because the owner got addicted to online gambling.

Anyone can be addicted, whether it is a rich person or a poor person, if the right mindset is not maintained then anyone will be addicted to it. So it can be said that the main source of addiction is self-control and mindset, those who can maintain it can stay away from addiction, but those who let it go out of control, are the ones who get addicted, whether they are rich or poor.

See, the mindset of the person is important. Just because you can win money does not guarantee that your life will change. It is true that poverty increases your risk of making bad financial choices, but that does not mean that you should think it is inevitable. With the right education, anyone can break the cycle of rich and poor. The poor do not get much opportunity to learn financial skills due to limited benefits. There are also many rich or upper middle class people in society whose financial management is very bad. They gamble recklessly, invest in the wrong way and suffer financial losses. The poor who get addicted to gambling think of it as a way to get rich quickly. But not all poor people think the same way. Because where people struggle just to survive, it is natural that not everyone will think of increasing their money by depending on luck. Just because someone is in a lower position than you, you should not think that their financial literacy is less than yours. Because you are not aware of all their circumstances.

People will call you addict because you are looking  for money just to sustain your gambling habit. they will notice you on that because you are in debt or selling thing/propeties.
You are right buddy. while rich people are just having fun even they lose  large amount of money. They can feed their hunger to gamble. They are not addicted, they are not being notice becuase they can continue with their cash loads and banks.  

But for me as i think of it now, they can easily be addicted also, they ajust not being notice because of their long string to continue gambling with out affecting their daily life budget.

So they take risks but they calculate it, and gambling is completely based on luck there is no plan or control here so they do not see it as a serious investment. There is another thing. Those who have little money sometimes tend to gamble in the hope of getting money quickly. Rich people do not have that kind of mental pressure. So they do not get addicted even if they play comfortably because losing does not cause a big blow to their lives. This difference in pressure also changes people's behavior, In my opinion gambling is just like watching a movie for the rich just passing the time. It sounds that wealthy people dont care about money. Maybe they do care less than others, but I believe they are also disappointed when they lose and wish they have their money back. It might be, that rich people are more easy to get addicted, because they have opportunity to gamble more frequently than others. However, it does not matter who plays, rich or poor. For me, I will say that the rich have a means of income that generate money for them, they already have something that gives them money weekly or monthly, so they only gamble wisely, some don't even believe in gambling, most of them can only invest in Bitcoin or any other investment Asset not like gambling, majority of gambling addict are people from the lower level, because they don't believe in hard work,so they prefer gambling since it's not stressful, so for me I think the lower level gamble more than the rich.

Poor people gamble with the aim of getting rich quick. This is the reason for their losses most of the time. On the other hand, middle class people mostly start gambling for curiosity and experimental. But later when they lose, they bet more money to get it back and when they win, greed acts and they bet aggressively to win more. And rich people gamble in most cases for entertainment. Since they have a lot of money, they spend unnecessarily and do not panic much even if they lose by betting. so, the issue of addiction may be less noticeable in their case.

The rich folks usually have alot of money to risk, so what the poor might be calling their life savings may be spent in a single round of gambling section. These sets of people already knows the kind of risk that's involved in gambling and so they go into it with advanced risk strategies. They can just do an few rounds with huge risk and call it a day because they probably must have made enough. But for a poor or average folks, we want to keep trying out our luck, using very small amounts of risk.. it's not totally bad as it's a way to keep our mindset at ease. You shouldn't take risk you cannot afford. It's something every gambler should have at the back of their mind..

You can lose money at anytime and this is not about whether you have been winning bets for several years. You can become addicted to gambling and the way you gamble is what is going to determine if you are going to become a victim or not.
