Why don't the rich people get addicted easily?

Of course the rich people do get addicted to something..just like everyone else...but what makes the difference is how we view it and what goes on around them (the rich)..yes we might think that the rich don't get addicted because... obviously he's rich he has money (lots of it)...

A rich man can fund his betting addiction without stress or getting a loan..they can easily maintain their properties and Jobs for a very long time...they'll still look good and neat (Appearance)..so we hardly see them fall hard the way we see most poor people do...

But for the poor person it's different because the money is not available to find his addictions..so he might:end up in jail (if he steals)...or end up in the hospital...or worse...

But the crazy thing there is..."Addiction for the rich man is more dangerous"...because they can easily fund and have access to whatever thing they need.. like..money for gambling and some other substance a person can be addicted to...


So we might think the rich don't get addicted because their addictions are hidden...unlike the poor...

I completely agree with this perspective. Addiction does not care about money, it affects anyone, but the way it shows itself depends a lot on your circumstances, just like you pointed out. For someone wealthy, an addiction can be hidden behind a comfortable life. They can chase habits, gamble, or indulge without it ever spilling over into their work, home, or appearance. To outsiders, everything looks fine, even though they might be struggling privately. For those without financial stability, the consequences hit hard and fast. It is true that in the case of poor people, gambling addiction is quickly understood because the effects of their economic and mental stress come together, as a result of which they quickly face various losse and they cannot hide it. And in the case of a rich person who is addicted, money is stable, Even if everything is fine face to face, they feel hurt inside, but they always hide it behind a white curtain, rich people have financial backup so it does not appear in front of everyone, and poor people do not have financial stability so the effects of addiction are quickly seen. You aren't far from the truth because it's becoming more obvious that poor people see gambling as a way of making fast money but along the line become more addicted to it and later results a big problem to them in future.

However, the rich guy's are always busy with their work or business perhaps having little or no time to gamble much and that's the right way to handle it . Gambling isn't surpose to be seen as a source of income but the poor folks has changed everything by taking it as their real time business which the consequences is always disastrous, however and until we put off that mentality (seeing gamble as a source of income) and look for something doing that will fixed our bills we will keep having same negative feedback about gambling.

For me, that's the main reason, there's no other. I think many rich people focus on this type of entertainment just to build social relationships or something like that, not for something more like making money They already have money, it's entertainment to escape boredom.

This is an open question, maybe I could be wrong in the eye of some of you but am asking this question because a  large number of addicted gamblers are not even up to a middle class standard but they are addicted. Can someone tell me why it's like that or is it totally a different case in your society, maybe an opposite of what I asking is happening in your own society. Rich people always have more advantages then the poor and they will gambling with any amount they want to used, and even they lose they will try to stake again to get recovery funds. I can says the more you win in gambling the more you comes closer to addicted because you will always feel like you're perfect in it and you can win anytime you bet. But not all rich people get addicted expect the one that feel like becoming addicted and be playing games back to back without given is safe a rest. I think the reason why it fees like the rich gamblers don’t get easily addicted is that they’re often more exposed to financial ups and downs  via businesses and investments, so encountering the same or similar situations in the gambling arena would make it easier for them to navigate and manage their emotions better. It's not really about that, despite the wealth the rich people have accumulated, they do gamble, they do crave for fun too. It can't be all about making money all the time. We have heard different rich people gambling recklessly, but what we should know is that the rich people are treated differently in the society. Even when they gamble recklessly and get addicted you will never see it making headlines because they are respected and people see it as normal. Same way you will never see people talking about the drinking or smoking habits of the rich people because they don't use it to cause problem, people see their addiction as flex.
