If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
I think since gambling is a game that is entertaining, it is best for gamblers to gamble freely without any restrictions or fear of a government ban.

A real gambler who gambles for fun will never feel comfortable gambling in a country where there are heavy restrictions and anyone who is caught gambling will be punished severely. I don't think I would force myself to gamble in a country where gambling is illegal, especially when I know the consequences for offenders breaking the law will be punishment. But if the restrictions are not being taken seriously, like people can gamble without being caught, then I will still gamble because the restrictions are not serious.

Japan allow sports like horse racing and bicycle racing  for gambling , maybe in a centralized form, a better reason why they got hold of that influencer guy. On a wide range, hundreds of thousands of online gamblers in Japan say they weren't aware that it's a crime to play games online in the nation. However, In places where the authorities focus so much on gambling, wagering a  huge amount isn't advisable. Though he had to do it for his followers but got himself exposed and thereby called for a strict regulatory proceed on gamblers in that nation.

At first, I was like what is the illegal part here? Yes he gambled huge amounts of money but there were no signs of money laundering. I was confused until it was mentioned that gambling is illegal in Japan. Gambling is generally banned in Japan with a few exceptions. It is ridiculous to me to be fined just for gambling but if that is the rules of your country.... you would have to follow.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?

If gambling was illegal in my country I would save myself the stress of gambling in order to be on the safe side... it's surprising how he worked for an online casino and thought he could keep himself anonymous.. Japan has some strict rules because they are focused on eliminating any form of corruption in their country to make it a better place..but like every other hobby people engage in gambling is a thing of choice and should be allowed

I never knew that gambling is illegal in Japan, how is that possible when there was a post in the past that said that Japan, alongside United States and Italy were among the countries that gamble the most in terms of wagering amount. I think this development is in conflict with that report.

The user in this case is a little careless because knowing that gambling is illegal in your country should have made him be more careful how he operate. It is possible the money he wagered was from referral bonus and commission from the platform he promotes since it was not a case of money laundering which was the first thing that came to mind.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
In general, gamblers do not care in their country illegal or legal, dealing with the law or not, what else has been addicted to heavy, they still gamble there are no obstacles for them.

Including me in general, my country is illegal gambling, but the current data is millions of dollars per day spent in Online Gambling and Data There are currently mostly youths involved online gambling, gambling still caught on the road, but not obstacles not to gamble.
It is undeniable that every gambler will continue to gamble even though his actions are illegal by law. I think this is no different from other illegal actions, such as corruption, stealing, fraud and so on, they will continue to do it even though it is clearly against the rules. No matter the reason behind it, the fact is that it is common in every country. In the case of gambling, even though the country considers the action illegal, a gambler will consider it an additional challenge.

There was a time when “twitter” now known as “X” was banned from my country and despite that we still used it - but, just that we didn’t make its usage public like the man in the OP did.

If gambling was illegal in my country - there’s still a possibility of me gambling via a site that allows the usage of vpn and doesn’t have my country as part of the countries that are restricted. I dare not go public with it and might even make sure I use incognito mode while gambling just to make sure that the data aren’t stored in my phone and I won’t have any problems - because it’s won’t be wise to gamble a fee dollar and then pay 100 times more for fine after being caught gambling.

If I see that it won’t be possible to keep it lowkey then I might scrap the idea of gambling totally.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
People who live in countries where gambling is illegal can still gamble online. Of course at their own risk. But it is a mistake to work with gambling as an affiliate, promoting gambling sites with personal social media. A violation that may be a double violation. A violation for carrying out gambling activities that are clearly prohibited, then advertising gambling sites.

I take a risk by still gambling online even though gambling is illegal in my country.

Chomabayashi also acted as a casino affiliate using his social media accounts to refer users to the casino. He said that he did all of this since he thought that he would never get caught. But he was publicly working for an online casino so I do not know why he would think that he would not be caught by the authorities.
Right? The man sounds like dumb and lacking of common sense on that part. Unless if he's just lowkey playing casino.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
No ifs and buts, i won't gamble at all. Lol. I will not risk my life for such thing that i think that its not worth it, knowing you don't know if you will win in gambling, why would risk.

Its just that too impossible that you wont be that wary about your country's laws in regarding about gambling for you to say that you thought that you wont be that getting caught. We do know that once government do make out some rules or simply those laws then as a citizen then you would be needing up to abide or follow those rules or else then you would be facing up on the consequences. You would be that get caught sooner or later even if now they wont be that spotting on you but once there would be leaks or there would be those informations shows that you've been living in a country which do have that ban with gambling then now you had made out that overall wager of multi millions then its impossible that you wont be getting up some attention into it. You would definitely be making up some noises not unless if you are just that a small time gambler then government wont be that wasting up their time into something that wont benefit them out. Usually government will be that eager on chasing someone that having that millions of wagered and getting something from it like taxes and other but of course you do still end up on getting imprisoned because of what you have done.

People who live in countries where gambling is illegal can still gamble online. Of course at their own risk. On the time that you have decided on trying to go against with your countries laws then you should be wary about on the risks involved. If you are ready to face up the
consequences then it would be your call. For me then i wouldnt be that wanting to create some commotion or any other things that make up some noise if ever i have decided
to play outside the country. The only thing that differs on here is that when you do have the money then you can actually be able to be that confident that you can easily
go pass through the law or government on which this is somewhat always a common mentality for those who are rich people. Imagine on wagering up millions then you wont be that
that much scared about violations not unless if it is no bail, then your fucked up on this case.

The news source says he total bets that he has place has run in billions of yuan. The state will always win. And if you want to live and enjoy the full benefits of the state, you have to abide by their laws. No, you cannot be an exception. You either abide by it or you exit the state to a place where the activity you want to engage in is allowed. In my estimation, it is even better that an online casino bans your account and withhold your funds than for you to be arrested by the government for breaking their no-gambling law.

If gambling were illegal in my country, I definitely wouldn't break the laws, because I wouldn't want to be arrested, it wouldn't make sense to get a prison sentence of years because I was playing for fun in some casino. I would prefer to respect the laws and hope that one day the laws would allow me to play. Fortunately here in my country, gambling is legal, and my country's government even encourages more people to create casinos as a way of creating jobs. That's why here in my country there are many legal betting houses with physical offices and there are also many legal casinos.

Wonder!!! Japan is illegal for gambling? Isn't gambling legal in that country? Because I saw some online casino X pages that are in Japanese which means it's legal there ---- that's all I know.
I don't know if there are gambling restrictions that are prohibited by the government, but for me this is a little strange.

Still gambling, but in a hidden way.
Some forms of gambling are legal in Japan. betting on horse racing and certain motor sports is legal in that country. Other public sports include bicycle racing, powerboat racing, and asphalt speedway motorcycle racing. Lorries like unique number lotteries, selected number lotteries, and scratch cards are also legal in Japan.

Makoto Chomabayashi is fully aware that crypto or online gambling is illegal in Japan but he decided to break the law. He would have to face the consequences.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
Well that is a huge money he gambled, $194m is quite a huge amount to bet at once knowing that his country forbids gambling. If I where from a country where gambling is prohibited I will stay out of online gambling maybe I could participate in some physical street gambling. Or i may tell a friend outside the country to open an online account with his information (kyc) after which the details will be sent or forwarded to me and I will use VPN to login in my country to place my bet. But if all this strategy doesn't work then I have no option than to quit.

If gambling was illegal in your country, would you still gamble?
Why the government should be the one to let me know if I should gamble or not? Luckily for me gambling is legal in my country. In countries that ban gambling, this is what will be the result. There will be some people that will do it illegally. Even in the Japan, there will be illegal gambling there.
You are lucky in your country to have a gambling free life, unlike others just like this case Japan have a lot of restrictions for so many things and gambling is one of them, so I don't know why the guy that was arrested didn't gamble online through a smart device and at the comfort of his home instead of exposing himself, I am sure there are active gamblers innthat country that stilk fine their way to gamble without any issues.

At first, I was like what is the illegal part here? Yes he gambled huge amounts of money but there were no signs of money laundering. I was confused until it was mentioned that gambling is illegal in Japan. Gambling is generally banned in Japan with a few exceptions. Chomabayashi also acted as a casino affiliate using his social media accounts to refer users to the casino. He said that he did all of this since he thought that he would never get caught. But he was publicly working for an online casino so I do not know why he would think that he would not be caught by the authorities. It is ridiculous to me to be fined just for gambling but if that is the rules of your country.... you would have to follow.

Japan itself has strict regulations on gambling, and they only allow gambling such as lotteries, pachinko, publicly authorized betting, and legal casino resorts. So to gamble outside of this, then it is completely illegal, and it has consequences, such as fines or prison sentences. And the man should understand that what he is doing is risky and can get him into trouble with the police. If he still does it knowing the risks, then he must be responsible for himself.

This is a question that is easy and difficult to answer, because honestly there are many people who continue to gamble even though it is illegal in their country. Most of them still gamble using a VPN because they are just having fun and do not feel that it is something wrong. But it all comes down to individual choice. If someone continues to gamble even though it is illegal in their country, then they must be prepared to accept the consequences of their own actions, whether it is them being permanently banned by the casino for violating the ToS, or other problems.

But if I may asked, how were the authorities able to know that he had gambled that exact approximate amount of $194million? Or was he the one who revealed it, claiming to have gambled millions of dollars on his social media accounts, which might have ignited the authorities investigate him and found this exact amount?. Because on the contrary, he knowing fully well that gambling is banned in his country Japan, he probably would have either relocate to a different country and continue gambling, rather than risk himself staying back home when he knew it was illegal in Japan. Because if I was to be in his show, the best option I would have done is relocate to a safe environment, while I continue gambling and affiliating with his crypto casinos.

I never knew that gambling was not allowed in Japan until now. And since it was illegal, why did he have to involve others publicly?. Here in my country, there are certain rules that where not stated, but at some point, the government frowned against them and publicly declared them illegal, while at some other point, they also talked good about them. That doesn't mean I would take the risk to indulge in such a thing publicly, knowing fully well that the rules backing up that thing is not clear and properly stated.

Fine, I understand that the government shouldn't over impose things on people, but they are the government, and that's what they are known for. They rule the country, so they definitely know how to use the law against those that goes against their decisions.

How can he expect that the authorities will not find him? He is said to be stupid, or perhaps this act is a display of stupidity. Such a high amount can't be hidden, and how can he expect to make it disappear from their eyes? The second mistake is that he knows the risks and still gambled with such a big amount. Why didn't he go to some other states where gambling might be more favorable? Perhaps those states would grant him some opportunities to earn such a huge amount and break records. If I were in his place, I would not do it, in fact, I would consult the law first, read the regulations, and then decide whether to gamble here in this country or go somewhere else where gambling is legal.

Gambling is illegal in my country. Not only gambling, Bitcoin is not legal in my country, but I am using it despite these two bans in my country. First of all, I am saying that gambling is not legal in my country. Despite being illegal, people in my country are gambling in two ways, offline and online. If this is known, then there are some administrative problems, but if this is not known, then people can gamble secretly and not face any problems. So no matter how much trouble it is, if there is a strict ban on gambling in my country, we still have to continue to gamble secretly in our free time just for entertainment and will continue

Being a patriot,if gambling was illegal in my country I wouldn't violate the law.But I'm so happy that gambling is legal and there's no form of regulations restricting gamblers to gamble in my country. When there's a law there are people to violate it, that's nature for everyone.Chomabayashi isn't the only gambler in the whole of Japan,he was caught because he acted as an online casino affiliate,in essence he drew a lot of persons into online gaming platform which is prohibited in Japan.
