It's not that he has deteriorated, but simply that his strategies are now well known to everyone and he has become predictable. His style of play has never changed, but unfortunately for him, other teams have found the right tactics to use against him.

They still have players who are not available and upon returning will further improve the team. In short, Mourinho's era seems to be coming to an end. He was indeed a very impressive coach with various achievements, but after leaving Real Madrid, his achievements weren't as good, with several clubs, and currently he has been in charge of Benfica since September 18, 2025. However, at Benfica, Mourinho has only just made his debut, and unfortunately, they lost in the UCL. Likewise in the domestic league, unfortunately, they could only draw this time.

Each team only plays 4 matches this means there are still many phases to go through and we can't say anything yet regarding the chances of these teams especially those who qualify for the next phase, PSG performance in the UCL this season is not perfect but they still have a good record.
