Hey BlocksRace team, just trying to dig up some information about your guys Grin

Besides having the platform that allows Bitcoin enthusiasts to bet on markets like who will mine what and who finds more blocks, etc., are you guys also into the actual mining? Noticed you give some mining stake to the Rigly Block Party, hence my questions?

Hi Woodie, yes I have experience in bitcoin mining, however now I just do it for fun from time to time.

If I should be honest, I think blocksrace.com is the first platform where mining events are being predicted. There may be others out there who are into the same gaming as blocksrace.com, but I'm sure there are a few platforms that are into the same kind of gaming. Since blocksrace.com is among the few, I would really like it if they could work very hard to dominate, especially in this forum.

To achieve this, promoting this brand is very important because every big gaming site we have today is the result of long-term promotion to give people more awareness about this brand.

Is it just me or is anyone else also facing problems when opening blockrace.com? It doesn't load directly, but after I refresh the page a few times, then it loads, and it has always been the case for me.

I don't know if it's a problem on my end or a server-side issue or something, which is why I'm asking here if anyone else is also facing the same problem.

@mamacoin5, can you please check and let me know if it's a problem on my end or from the platform's end?

I think they are doing their best, signature campaign is running, but they can do more. I would suggest weekly raffles or other competitions in Games and Rounds section where users can predict the pool that is going to mine a specific block in the future. Once the block is mined, the user who named the correct fool first should be the winner. It's just an idea, it could be done differently, though.

The challenges and competitions on the platform are great and we really enjoy them, but can we expect to see some contests here in the forum as well in the Games and Rounds section? I have given some suggestions above about how they can be operated, or you guys can surely think of other ways to do it, as long as there are competitions, that will be great.

I believe that is going to increase the overall engagement for the platform from this forum. We have a vast community and a lot of people, but getting into the crowds and reaching more people should be the goal, right? And I personally believe that such competitions can only attract more people towards the platform.

Just a thought. You guys know better, of course.

Hi Guys,

Thank you all who regularly visit the website and try their luck on one of the most provably fair and transparent competitions - the Bitcoin Mining Race. Our summer was busy, and while waiting to go live with integrations with crypto casino operators, our newest game Hash Crash game is out.

How to Play Hash Crash
Every round follows the real search for the next Bitcoin block. Mining pools around the world are competing to find it. While the average time to find a block is usually around 10 minutes, nobody knows exactly when it will happen. It could be found in seconds or take 30+ minutes.

HashCrash Desk
Periodically (every ~2 minutes), the HashCrash Desk opens for 30 seconds. This is your chance to purchase mining contracts. Each contract costs $100. If the block is found within the timeframe of a contract you bought, that contract wins and pays the displayed payout.

Choose Your Contract Window
Each desk reveals two time-window options. Pick the one that matches your expectation of how long the block will take. You can also choose how many contracts you want to buy - the more contracts you buy, the bigger your potential payout.

Live Visualizer Track
Purchased contracts appear as brackets on the timeline. Watch the mining time move through your selected windows. When the next desk opens, you have another chance to choose an alternative option and build different strategies.

Payouts & Refunds
Block found in your window? You win the promised payout. If the block is found outside the window of your contracts, those contracts lose. If the block is found while a new desk is still open, all contracts bought during that desk are cancelled and fully refunded. This ensures you can never buy contracts after the outcome is already known.

Good Luck and let us know if you have questions or ideas for improvement

Based on the "How it works" section near the footer area, it seems you were going to offer three time-window options, but for some reason you've changed your mind.
- As a player, I always prefer to have more options.

When the next desk opens, you have another chance to choose an alternative option and build different strategies.
Can you clarify if this means that in those 30-second windows, we can change our mind and pick the other option or are you referring to buying more contracts?

If the block is found while a new desk is still open, all contracts bought during that desk are cancelled and fully refunded. This ensures you can never buy contracts after the outcome is already known.
Although the main culprit here is the small window and timing issues when different services communicate, I think you can still allow some due to a margin of error [e.g., 10%].

I don't like the new update because it disadvantages people like me that have grown their stash... imagine having 100, 000 and being limited to 10k bets ?? I understand this was done to avoid total wipeouts and mean a month long seat out to get that 10,000 reload.. but whatever the outcome blockrace makes the rules .

Edit
Btw unfair advantage for this month... Those adjustments can be deferred to next month when we can all start from the same page!

Cool idea, tying the game to the real block time. How are the two time windows and their payouts set for each desk, is it based on the usual ~10 minute average? And does the payout stay the same no matter how many contracts people buy, or does it change?

Hi SFR10, long time  Smiley  and thank you for the feedback !

Noted regarding that you want to have more options. We will look into that; however decision was that we did not want to make it too complicated either. Player have just 30 second to choose an option and if there will be more options that make even more difficult for him. But it is valid point and we will look into it.

Regarding the next desk, you can buy more contracts -  you can not change contracts you have already bought.

Noted regarding a block found during check-in opening; we will work on a better solution on that.

Feel more than welcome to join the October challenges and play around. Smiley

Hey Woodie, I understand your concern, but to be honest, there was no perfect time to introduce this change. We did it on 1st of October so everybody can start on the same page for the October Monthly Challenge . Good luck,  I see that once again you are in the top places  Smiley
