So I have a 25 BTC cas and some smaller denoms (a 5 and some smaller bits). I really don’t want to open them as somehow it seems wrong. But it seems almost impossible to sell them in light of  the high values.

Does anyone have any suggestion? 🥴

if you open them, you can sell them real easy, Lol.
IDK why you're making it hard, you could always do centralized means (Binance-Kraken-etc) or P2P, There's people that can give you Cash for it.

If you need Help, Contact me, i have my phone number in my profile (WhatsApp) and i'd be more than glad to help you.

I guess he is hesitant to destroy something unique.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy take the money and run  fits here so good Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

All seriousness though, no need of more value over face value, OP take the advice cause that money is already life changing, a ~100,000$ more won't do you good and you'll have to wait till someone buys it, just withdraw it and live life.

Caribbean Treasures will be offering the "Be Your Own Bank" 100,000 custom physical bitcoin runs for your community. It solves this issue and you will 3x your value.

Many thanks. I did think about auction but my concern is that the commission, et cetera will exceed the numismatic  premium so that I would end up with a net out of pocket compared to redeeming 🥴

I think realistically it would have to be a private sale to an existing BTC holder so that we don’t have to deal with cash or commissions!

The commission will be horrible, then there's taxing (depending on where you are in the world, it could be A-LOT, Check PMs for more info), then there's the absolute evidence online that these won't sell for "5X BTC" when there's a CAS 25btc coin already being auctioned off since 2017 and not sold yet, the only bid it had was refused cause it was lesser than the original Value.

A private Sale won't happen either, you're talking about a 1/1000ths of BTC holders who would be interested, and they'd have been interested in it when BTC was ~40K, not now, This isn't going to turn into a Laszlo Hanyecz mistake, the lesser of the evils would be redeeming it, the larger evil is letting yourself go another 5-10 years for a possible markup in profit, in which of still wouldn't make the physical coin more wanted or sellable in an auction.

i think we all forget sometimes, but Bitcoin was made to ease access to funds and transfer currency worldwide without Hassles, whoever's made profit off of it since the bullruns, have made a profit from it, and that's it, it works on the "early bird gets the worm" system, those who've invested in it in times where it wasn't worth barely scraps, profited off of it, and withdrew these profits and made something for themselves with it, they've all made businesses from it where they could earn a steady (large) income from it so they can retire early and enjoy life.

My Honest Opinion, if i were you, i'd cash it out, create some businesses with it, live life to its' fullest extent because you could never know what life has in store for you, one can sleep and never wake up again, one could lose a physical bitcoin (or a hard drive full of them) And waste the rest of his life shoveling shit out of a landfill, Your best bet is to take them out. i know it's pessimistic to think that way, but knowing that i've known people that had far more worse fates, it's a given that it could happen to anyone.

Peel it, Redeem it,
Live a little.

Before it's too late.

Unique won't be Unique when the world crumbles to dust, you can still do unique things with that Capital, and you could still keep the Cas Coin, frame it in Epoxy and keep it on your desk to remember simpler times, it would be a great memorabilia piece.
