I would not call myself a veteran gambler I'm still at the mid level. And the best advice I would give to the newbie gambler is that you should have a budget that is well written down and stick with it no matter what. The emphasis is on written down because if you haven't written it down you do not have a budget. That is how you monitor your gambling. Once you don't stick to it, you will waste your money on gambling irresponsibly.

Fact is, I won't advice any young generation to gamble. Gambling has ruined a lot of persons and only few were a blessing to either last long or keep playing over time. If you must gamble, you have to make sure you aren't the type that gets too attached to lost things or someone who can not bear the risk. Avoid if you are a type that's too emotional. If you don't have a good job don't even imagine gambling because every little money you have would be better off using for something good. Don't gamble without a plan.

Actually I don't know how much I am experienced on the gambling sector, but what I get from it in these few years is gambling is not like that it will just generate money for you it will generate the loss more than the profit.
So if we have to play here we should set up or mind based on that, and we have to spend that amount what we can afford to lose. And this is the common suggestion but it is the most effective way to avoid the expensive learning lessons.

They need to know what they want in life and pursue it. For young gamblers, weigh your chances in life. Why you are in this activity and not pursuing your dreams? Ask yourself if you can do this all throughout your life and bear the uncertainty of gambling in your everyday life. If you are not ready for it, better change your course and follow what needs to be done. From what I have seen, being educated will be a very good weapon to be competitive in the market. So try as much as you can to earn a degree. If nothing else, you can have a better 9-5 job that can support your daily needs and maybe, buy some of your wants.
If you still have the chances to improve yourself or educate yourself, do it. You will have a better battle in life if you have the edge in the market.

There is nothing to advise new gamblers except a few common points. Some common points to advise new gamblers are that they should not participate in gambling with feelings or high emotions. A gambler should participate in gambling with the same amount of ability to afford to lose. You should not try to recover the money you lost after making a loss. You should not take consecutive bets in gambling. You should not participate in gambling if you do not have the ability to control yourself. One should not participate in gambling while in a state of mental instability, depression, or any mental disorder. You should not gamble with the money you borrow or take out a high-interest loan.

Apart from the common points mentioned above, I don't think there is any advice I can give to a new gambler.

Stick to the budget that you have allotted. The young ones are carefree and risk takers and that's why it's easy for them to not stick to the budget and get more bets than the allotted budget that they have made. Others have problem in controlling their betting habits. It's like that one bet per day won't be enough for them and that's why it's best for them to do an assessment on how many bets they are willing to take per day. Also, if you're tired, don't bet. Get some rest because that tiredness could lead you to more losing streak if you don't put that into notice.

As a beginner the enthusiasm you have is always very high especially when you are getting lucky, we have all been there...one thing I would keep saying is that gambling can never be a source of income, if you fix your mind on becoming financially stable from gambling this would end up wrecking you financially... Always remember that it's a game of luck and it's best to treat it more as a source of entertainment

And we are being fuelled by the casino as a beginner by giving us consistent and big wins. They know that they still can recover it later and then they can also earn more than it. So before we get there, we need to be wiser than them. Reading such an advice here can make us to counter it. If only many people or beginner are like this, casinos are going to be the ones that can learn their lesson and they will now treat newbies like the rest too in terms of fairness but that is good for the newbies to lower their expectations. Gambling can be a source of income because it can give us an income but it is only unreliable, so we should not treat it as our main source.

Honestly this board must be the primary reason how and why I am always cautious against gambling and its addictive nature. I guess, if I have failed to learn those lessons from this forum, I would have failed in my finance as well. In my initial days, those veteran of this board did great job for paving a clear one for beginners like myself.

Here is what I do, although I would not call it advice:

Make a monthly budget. Make sure the budget is no more than 10% of your disposable income (the money that is left over after you have paid your bills, set money aside for rent, food and so on and put money aside for savings). After that, make sure that you do not add to this budget or go over the budget. Then gamble only with tiny amounts of money. Do not gamble big. Stretch it out and make it last.

Also never gamble when you are running on emotions. Always have a clear head. When in doubt, walk away and take a break.

* Don't borrow or take a bank loan to gamble, instead avoid gambling.
* Have self-control/confidence when gambling to avoid addiction.
* Don't be too hard on yourself .
*Enjoy the game while playing either for fun or money.

Because we've known a lot of stories from that factor and many have lost a lot of their money through being that kind of person. So, when we gamble, make sure that we're only using spare money that we can afford to lose.

And this also leads to selling of the things that we own and that's where the problem starts when most precious things are sold by gamblers who can't afford to gamble with the money that they have.

This is the most common advice to anyone that is new to gambling. It is never meant to make money and if you treat it that way, it can go badly for that person.

While it is just a "rumor", seems like Brian Armstrong is about the most credible person a rumour like this could come from. I think bitcoiners who believe shitcoins will go to 0 upon an SEC ruling will be disappointed, IMO. I agree. But I would say marketcap in shitcoin land can be easily gamed, and it wouldn't surprise me in the future to see such an event happen.

I print 1 trillion tokens, sell you one for $1, boom, I just flipped bitcoin in market cap. My project is worth 1 trillion. Interesting. Their conclusion about Bitcoins disconnect with the macroeconomic news though correct, lacks reason because theyre only thinking of Bitcoin as a speculative asset with 'no intrinsic value'. They fail to see its true value as a nascent technology, which provides the foundational characteristic to allow Bitcoin (the asset)'s price to emerge.Man yet another friend of mine loses their bitcoin. It’s difficult not to take these as personal failures but man how hard is it to just store your private key!!
