At what point is Someone classified as gambler?

A gambler can be either someone who plays once a year or someone who plays assiduously, we must distinguish an occasional player
from a regular player.
I think therefore even a game or two are to be considered as gambling (intended as a game where you bet money, in search
of a win).
As if to say I smoke a cigarette every now and then, in the end you are a smoker.

First of all feel the difference between gambler and gambling man.
I think that i`m gambler, because i make bets, play slots, and i can`t say that it was in the past. But i`m not gambling man because i don`t have interest to gambling itself. For me it is the tool i use in my purposes - betting for profit, slots an a "beer changer".
If we want to define "gambler" - for me it is everybody whomade a bet/played slots/etc and think that he can repeat it.

I do not agree with this at all. If someone is only gambling just once in a year, I can not call the person a gambler. In reality such person may even think of gambling the following year but later forgot and not gamble the following year. At least, a gambler should gamble at least many times in a year. It does not have to be frequent, but at least many times if it is a year.

According to some dictionary definition of who a gambler is, It defined a gambler as "Someone who participates in activities where they risk money or something of value on an uncertain outcome, hoping for a positive return."
So, the definition of who a gambler is has already explained it. Anyone that participates or that is participating on bets or wagering on football, horse race, blackjack, etc, such a person is a gambler.

There isn't a time element involved to be called a gambler. There are three conditions, but it only require one condition in order to be called as gambler:
1. You gamble regularly, let's say once a week and you've doing it for at least 3 months.
2. You lost a lot of money, at least a minimum monthly salary in your country.
3. You lost a money which affect your life.

The first one don't need any explanation.
The second condition, people can tolerate if you loss little, but if they know the total amount you lost, they will claim you a gambler.
The third condition, something similar with above, the difference is people will remember your story, like "you can't eat because you lost in gambling".

If you only gamble for few times in your whole life and spent little, people will not consider you as gambler.

It's a very simple and easy question; you can easily find out who can be called a gambler and who cannot. The thing is, a gambler is someone who engages in this activity daily. He is chasing his losses and waiting for profits, trying different games just to get what he wants, which is obviously money/profits. This kind of person can be called a gambler, while a person who only comes to the casino or bets on a game once and then leaves without caring about the results or profit/loss cannot be considered a gambler. They will only come once a year, and we can't call them gamblers.

Just from the definition of a gambler, once the person engages in gambling activity, he is already a gambler.  About the game a person to play to classified him as a gambler is any game that requires risk, a wager, and a reward, where a person needs to risk a wager that has something of value to get a reward.  For example, even a simple rock paper scissor game can be a gambling game if the players add a wager (something of value) where the winner will take the pot money can be considered a gambling game, and the people who are playing that rock paper scissor are classified as a gambler.

If you play a game for money or bet money on something, it will be considered gambling. It does not matter how long you bet there or how much money you bet. However, if you are addicted to gambling, then as long as you enjoy gambling, you will be considered a gambler. However, when you stop gambling, you will not be considered a gambler and no one will mention you as a gambler. But if you are an addicted gambler, then everyone will always call you a gambler and mention you as a gambler. So how long you will be considered a gambler will depend on your gambling activity.

Are there people that are gambling to the point that they are making a living with it? I have always heard the sad part than it to have a good part. This is the reason some people become addicted to gambling while some people think of it this way and lost a lot of money before they realize that they can not make money from gambling.

Personally, I have decided not to believe everything that I see online, there are people that claim to make a living off gambling...but there's a high possibility that they are lying to get attention from others and my reason for saying that is...if they are constantly providing fake proof of making profit from gambling they would likely sell out their strategy to others..no one can make gambling a source of income, it's all deceit

Betting once or twice in your life doesn't make you a gambler. Even if someones buy a lottery ticket every New Year's Eve for 20+ years doesn't make him a gambler. We can consider someone a gambler if they bet regularly, like every weekend, no matter the amount.

We all know those morons trying to sell a strat are just hoping some idiot gives them free money. Yes their "strat" can work and most likely will work for 5 minutes, but just like every strat it will eventually bust. There is no infinite money printer strat and people should already know that, otherwise all casinos would be outta business.

A gambler in the sense of someone who risks his money on something uncertain in the hope of winning. I agree with you - they can be regular gamblers or even occasional gamblers, both are still called gamblers. Regardless of addiction - anyone who risks his money on anything ^{[real world or online]} is a gambler. But of course gamblers can be classified into several categories - generally referred to as responsible gamblers and problem gamblers.

It is unimaginable how someone could make gambling their job, automatically expecting that job to generate income. We know that gambling is not recommended as a career choice, as it is high risk and speculative, with no certainty involved. Therefore, it is certain that such a person will be disappointed if they make gambling their job.

Gambling is only recommended as entertainment, perhaps when you are tired from work and need some entertainment, at least to take your mind off stressful work, even if only temporarily. The point is, as long as your budget does not exceed your risk limit, it will not be a problem.

Staking your funds for the outcome of an even or to play a game with the intention to win funds based on the amount that you used to stake means that you are a gambler. However, I wouldn't call those gamblers that gambles once in a while gambler because he doesn't have depend on it for pleasure or reward. Gamblers gambles daily or weekly and not annually. This is why all gamblers are advised to gamble responsible because a gambler is prone to addiction.

Does it mean that one can gamble occasionally and still not see themselves as a gambler? That must be one huge act of self-deception. No one cares how often you gamble; what matters is the fact that you do it. If we are going to rate gamblers by how often they gamble, then I wouldn’t even qualify as a gambler because I can go months without gambling. Gambling is not a regular thing for me, so I can simply say I’m not a regular gambler and not to deny outrightly being a gambler.

I also want to point out that one doesn’t need to be an addict to be seen as a regular gambler. People are different, and so is their level of self-control. This is very simple to understand as there is nothing confusing about it

Anyone who gambles once is never classified as a gambler but when consistently doing it maybe after twice or more but keep doing it is considered as a gambler.
However, gamblers are also people who takes crazy risks and these types of people can also be classified as the chronic gamblers because they can go to an extent to satisfy their gambling desires, while someone who is not a gambler or being classified as a gambler can't take such risks to gamble.

you can find all the possible strategies to make profit gambling for free online, stuff like arbitrage, value betting, card counting, etc... anyone who tries to sell you some top secret "strategy" that can make you money is 100% a scam.

As soon as someone starts gambling or betting, they can be classified as a gambler. You don't have to have gambled a specific amount of money before you can be classified a gambler. You only get classified as an addictive gambler or a low stake gambler based on what you're being called. People that gamble always are addicted gamblers while those with low stakes are average gamblers. It doesn't matter if you're gambling only once a month or week, you're still a gambler. Don't follow the pressure that you'll have to gamble many times before you can be called a gambler. You're not like the desperate people that gamble all the time because they're in need of money and don't care about their finances reducing.
