That's great mindset by Tamil cricket association to restrict foreigner so that they can mainly focused on thier hometown youth talent, it's true India is big populated country of more then 1.45billion peopled, so definitely it's quite hard to be on spot for long without major performance as always due to huge variety you will be always be replaced with good one's. so you have to always prepared to be proved a capable so that can be a spotlight player at IPL auction and here coaches will think about your spot at national team. Anyway from league standings currently Siechem Panthers were undefeated and were dominating too with his performance.

Trichy secured their win by 17 runs over ITT in the 17th match of TNPL 2026. Trichy made tota 196 runs in 20 overs, which was a good amount of runs to challenge their opponent. Although most of their batters lost wickets with lower runs but Shyam sundar alone hit the unbeaten century and let his team go ahead. Without him, it could hard for Trichy to achieve such milestone and that might create trouble
for them. Well ITT came to batting with new hope as they already did good performance in several matches. Tushar Raheja contributed for his team by making 87 runs. But this time they finished on 179/8 after 20 overs and lost for the short of 17 runs. After this match, Trichy rank in second position and prove that they can be dangerous opponent in this tournament

Yeah this was mandatory for bot teams to won this match. But in starting SKM Salem Spartans team showed normal performance. The top order players could not deliver well and responsible inning for team members. So when top order players doesn't perform well then pressure shift on other players and then they catch in trouble. Same thing occured in this match. Middle order players lost some wickets back to back so just final order players scored well runs and then they gave 182 runs for chasing.
Chepauk Super Gillies team had great comeback in the game. This was 2nd consecutive victory in the league. In past they lost 2 consecutive matches. So they built a great impact on other teams and also this was important for them to saty in league.  In this match Narayan delivered outstanding performance and made his strong to won the match. So they played outstanding batting and won the match by 5 wickets.

Chepauk Super gave aggressive come back after facing loss in two matches, they used their bowlers for building the high pressure. Saleem Spartans could not managed the tension that is created through their quick wickets falls. However their lower order collected the courage for the scores. As a result in last 6 overs they managed to added 90 runs in their scoreboard. But even putting all efforts target of 182 runs was not big challenging for the opponents who were already in full form. Chepauk Super one batsman Jagadeesan through his outstanding contribution paved the way towards win. Other players also provided help with the solid runs. The batsmen playing first for SAL team have batted weakly due to which start was weak, so players playing later came under pressure.

Siechem Madurai Panthers squad are in strongest position with 8 point and sitting at top of standings. Their slot in Qualifier is almost confirmed. They have lost only one match and still have 2 matches left. Four other squads have 6 point each.

Match among TRI squad and VKK squad was fuly one side with VKK squad winning match. Their batting played important role in this victory and their top order batter did not perform great but Balasubramaniam Sachin batter played great inning and managed to collect 77 scores and supporting his squad reach good total. TRI squad was unable to chase full target because of their shit bat. Both their top and middle order was unable to collect enough scores and target of 116 scores proved too difficult for them.

However, the team they were competing against is at the third position in the table. They have played six matches in this series and won four, due to which the pressure of the Nellai Royal Kings team had already been created on the second team because this team is much better than the first team. However, the first team created a target of 140 runs with a lot of hard work and dedication, in which all the players worked together, but their hard work was wasted because the second team achieved the target given to them quite easily. If you look at it, both the teams have shown good performance. One showed their good performance in batting and the other in their bowling. SAL team batted first and set a target of 140 runs for their opponent. The best batting from their team was done by Hari Nishaanth who scored 36 runs and another player Eshwar M scored 31 runs. Apart from them, the performance of all the other players was not so good due to which some players were out without scoring runs and in return, NRK team has played a very good match. Two of them have completed their half-centuries and achieved their target a few overs in advance due to which they won this match by 5 wickets and 23 balls.

TNPL tournament is now very close to finishing with only two matches left qualifier 2 and final. Qualifier 2 will be played tomorrow. Sadly, first 2 playoff matches were not completed because of raining and both matches were eventually abandoned.

In qualifier 1 match, MDP squad and TRI were playing. Normally, losing squad would go to qualifier 2 match while winning squad would qualify for final battle. But because match was abandoned, highe rank squad got advantage. MDP squad were at top with same point 10 as TRI but they had better NRR. Because of this, MDP squad qualified directly for final.

Second match was eliminator among TT squad and VKK squad. Losing team would have been eliminated from tournament while winner would move to qualifier 2 match. Unfortunately, because of rain interruption, TT squad did not get proper chance to display their skills and full potential. Looking at stats, both squads had almost 50/50 chance but rain gave higher rank squad advantage and they qualified for qualifier 2.

This league has seen us witness many best games. This league has strengthened the teams which will be even best going forward. This is a big pity for the final game of this league and such a match being stopped can be a big loss for this league. We have not seen any special performed between these two teams yet and like normal games, 1 wicket is lost in the first 5 overs, this happened in this qualifier too at 4.5 overs. And that is where the rain started and the game be stopped and no decision will be made beyond that. It was the result of their luck and struggled for which they came this far but later on their luck turned weak and the game could not go ahead. If this game had been completed, the team going to the final would have impressed us a lot and we would have bid farewell to this league with a best game.
