My Merit Source application for the Gambling boards has been officially accepted today.

I will be receiving 50 sMerits to distribute each month. 50 might be on the lower side considering how active this section is — but hey, we all have to start somewhere, right?

The main reason I wanted to become a merit source specifically for the Gambling boards is because this place is very active and highly significant for forum traffic.
A lot of Bitcoin transactions happen here (betting pools, side bets, prediction challenges...) but it's hard to rank up by writing in Gambling - Merits are rarely distributed in proportion to the volume and quality of content and that’s something I hope to help improve.

I’ll be using this thread to collect suggestions for merit-worthy posts — either your own or someone else’s. You can nominate quality posts here by replying with a link and a brief explanation.
Hopefully it will be followed by a few more users with higher amount of Merits, so together we can make an even bigger change.

Some submission guidelines:

• Low-effort submissions (aka shitposts) will result in you being added to my ignore list.
  If you spam or suggest poor content, it's unlikely you'll ever receive Merit from me again.
• Don’t flood the thread. Keep submissions to a reasonable number.
  Remember, I only have 50 sMerits per month, so limit your suggestions to a few standout posts, not every decent reply you see.

I will read the board and award Merits anyway - but there's more chance to see a post if it's linked here.
If I start receiving 500 submissions daily I'll simply close the thread - so please do your part to keep it running by posting only something of high value.

What I'm mostly looking for are well thought out posts/threads that bring value to the community. Some examples would be:

• A unique betting strategy with data backing it up
• Custom gambling tools or spreadsheets built by the user
• Competitions or giveaways that encourage constructive participation
• Breakdown of how provably fair algorithms work in a specific game
• Historical analysis of betting trends
• Honest, in-depth reviews of gambling platforms (not when they are a part of paid reviews)
• Comparisons between odds, promotions and bonus terms across casinos
• Tips and warnings about withdrawal limits or KYC issues
• Many other posts/threads that follow the same idea

From your post I want to ask what is the submission technique or format to submit post,  would you gradually go to the history of everyone profile who comments here to reward the merits?
Like I know, gambling board has the highest traffic on the forum and if by submission of topics then I guess here would be filled with several post submissions. Therefore, I suggest you should look for the best technique to distribute merits over here otherwise it would be abused.

Your gambling post link needs to be inline with the the themes. Again it must not be your link, it could be other link that interests you.

This board is one of the most active boards on the forum, yet it is very difficult and almost impossible to earn a decent number of merits here, and I kept on asking myself whether the posts and contributions here ain't quality enough. It's amazing that you also saw this as a potential problem and also thought out a solution to it. A big congratulations to you on this great achievement, and we are grateful that you have our interest at heart. Yeah, it's impossible for your alone to take on everyone and every posts on the gambling board, but I believe there are also others who are merits sources or who just have a reasonable amount of smerits to give out would love to join and assist you, we can also be helping each others too to make sure that merits are evenly distributed and circulated evenly on this board. Wow this is a nice initiative and a good news for the gamble local,  you're right it's better to start from somewhere but I don't see how 50 merit would be enough for the entire gamble board this is one of the most if not the most active board on the forum with more than 50+ post a day. Though not all post made are worth meriting but by the time we calculate 50+ per day for a week and then a month so many quality post applications might be on the line waiting to get merited.

Well from the criteria to placed as standard for quality post to get merited, I didn't see " a good advice to certain situations " I've observed that people ask for suggestions here and most of them are satisfied with the answers they got, personally for me I've learnt to change some of my old gambling ways just by relating with some comments and I must say their are worth meriting.

Congratulations, this is a good news, at least gambling board now have a merit's source, something that we have long waited for, the admin finally granted us that chance to also take part in the merit's cyculation in the forum just like in other boards where there is merit's sources, we on this board are the most active members in the forum but yet we did not have merit's such all this while, but not it over, and we gat a good merit's sources on gambling board, so congratulations once again mate and keep it up.

This is the first time we have a merit source specifically for the gambling section. That’s actually good news, considering how active and big that part of the forum is, especially with all the gambling discussions. I have a feeling this thread is going to get flooded with posts.

I’ve made some threads myself, IIRC, I will be posting here.

Also, I just want to congratulate the OP for becoming a merit source in the gambling section, it’s a solid start. Who knows, maybe more merit sources will get approved soon. Looks like quite a few people got approved today, including someone from our local section.

A user can submit a post once a week or once a month.

At the same time, we understand that the decisions will always be subjective, but such is human nature and this is in any case the best we can come up with.

I agree with Julien_Olympic here as there are plenty of interesting topics in the gambling discussion section, and most of them are started by high-ranking members. A lot of these guys honestly don’t care whether they get merit or not; they just want to share their experiences and knowledge about gambling, especially when it comes to sports betting. So while this is a good option, it’s probably better if you actually read the threads and the responses.

Wow, what a great development!

Gambling board has long needed the dedicated merit source focused specifically on posts within its sections. Based on my own merit history, I can say this was clearly lacking. Out of the 1900+ merits I’ve earned over the past two years none were from posts made in Gambling board sections. I’ve shared my unique betting strategy ^{focused on bankroll and time-related patterns}here more than once but it seems to have gone unnoticed. That’s not the complaint, just an observation.

Cryptofrka can not be biased but the requirements may still make just little set of people to be receiving merits because what people post most on this gambling board are more not having quality as he required but maybe I am wrong. I just like that we now have a merit source on this gambling board which can let some people to post good and better.

Most of Merits will be awarded in this way, yes. I do scan the boards, but thousands of posts are written in Gambling every day and it's probably the most chaotic place for a Merit source due to millions of shitposts being constantly written.
I want to give people the platform to be seen, and from then it's up to them - only high value posts/threads will be merited.

16 Merits in total have been awarded to these threads today. As you can see - these are highly relevant with huge effort needed to write/organize/investigate.
This is what I'd like to see, and these are the threads that will propel you to higher ranks.

I hope that I will not be awarding mostly Legendary members - the whole idea is to help lower ranked members rank up. But this is the standard and expectancy, and it's mostly done by Legendary members.
Step up as lower-ranked participant and you'll be rewarded more.

Okay, then Is fine since you don't want it to be that stressful or too difficult for people to make submissions. However, I like the process.
