And to be honest, it's some kind of shameful that we ourself bring up fake stories to the forum without first verifying if the story is real or faked for engagement farming, but then, we can't also blame ourselves much since everyone seems to want to be the one who the latest information in town would come from, but then, I will use this opportunity to implore us to try to do better for the sanity of this forum, fake stories destroys trust for a plaform and I understand this is not a news platform but a discussion forum, but then, we can still do better by making sure every story we come up with is a trusted and verifed story we are sure is not fake(d).

I was thinking how rich people can be 10,000 dollars in cash under their pillow. And winnings of $100 million are in the order of things. It turned out that the guy stole a few dollars, won a few more dollars, and this created a conflict. Regardless of the amount, this couple is in a toxic relationship of mutual distrust, deception. OP, is this post about gambling? I think that you are talking about clickbait, fake news and media manipulation rather than actual gambling.
Who gives a damn about such "sensational news"? At the end of the day, what matters the most is your own life experience(including experiences with gambling) and not other people's weird stories and experiences. Life is full of absurd stories. Some of those absurd stories should teach us a lesson, while most of them are just fake drama. I try to get rid of unnecessary drama as much as possible in my own life.

I consider most of this story post as fictional rather than believing it’s true since there’s no reliable source.

I rarely reply on this kind of post but if I do I consider it as situational question based on the given scenario. Yes we shouldn’t believe it word by word but there might be a scenario like this happening in real life that doesn’t being broadcasted by the news outlet.

This is a post someone made regarding the story; What will you do if you’re on his shoe? realising it was built on lies makes me wonder if most of the story we've been getting are really true, but regardless of whether true there is a moral lesson from this stories because it's going related and we discuss that hence nothing is impossible it could be a fake story today but because a true story of someone here in the forum or related.

Almost got eaten by the title and yes it's a marketing ploy to get people to read more into the content you want to convey in the post, and I totally agree that there are so many fake stories created by marketers or scammers out there to tempt us into doing something like purchasing goods or betting, marketing in such a way is a dirty and inhumane way, it's more like a scam that is made up as a real story to deceive customers.

We have quite a lot of gambling related stories which flies around on social media platforms some are true, some truths are spiced up by the narrator while others are misleading. I don't worry so much whether the story is true or not because I'm not there when it happened, where I concentrate is if there are moral stories to learn from the stories. There is always something to learn in a story even if it is cookedup, if there is nothing meaningful to learn I will just ignore it. If you are looking for authentic news you need to research and verify from more than one source.

I don't know about you guys, but I have witnessed a true story along similar lines. This is a true story of making riches from rags. One of my friends stole INR 100 ($1.2) from his wife's purse and deposited the money in an online casino. After deducting swapping fees he got less than $1 in his casino account. Now the real story starts and what he did with that $1 is surely worthy of 'Guinnese Book of World Records' for the craziest gambling session of all time. It was so crazy that when he shared his bet history with me I almost went into shock from the surprise, yeah it was that crazy. At first, I thought it was photoshopped but when he showed me everything by logging in real-time, I was speechless.
He even made a YouTube video about this and believe me I have never seen anybody achieve that feat by playing dice bets. Some of his dice bets are so crazy that you wouldn't even believe that any human could be so crazy.

Although six bucks and ten thousand do not sound melodious, people on our forum are more likely to believe the information than to verify it. Me too, I was one of the many who easily believed these made-up stories. We need to look for verified sources before we believe on the stories. Maybe not just one or if the publisher has some credible source then that will verify the news or the post that was made. It's very important to verify information these days and it will apply also to ourselves on how meticulous we are if it's about the information that we're absorbing when someone share something to us.

But you don't have to think seriously especially if that is not related to you because that will just waste your time to search for the truth.

That's the dilemma these days. With the rise of social media platforms, basically, anyone can create their own story, making it a 'viral' one and earn from it. So yes, a lot of posts or situations that you can read over the net are not true. They are created for consumption of the public either for monetary gain or just for fun/bragging in cyberspace. Better be cautious on what you read because a lot of them are just fakes.

It's not really a dilemma. Concentrate getting news from legit media that does their research, rather then from posts without sources.

You may steal a good amount of money from your wife and try to be a winner of good amount of money but what will happen if you lose in the gambling.  Before doing such a think we should think about it multiple times about the result of both side positive as well as negative side other wise we have to suffer in the long run.

First of, I was merely making a joke. But you're totally right, gambling is by nature very unpredictable and those who venture it should be prepared for every possible outcome, especially the losses, because like we already know, due to house edge, the gambler is at more risk of losses and this is the exact reason why it's important to always think ahead as a gambler.

In this scenario, there was a 100% chance that the man who stole his girl's money would've actually lost the  bet and possibly had another thing coming. stealing from someone you love, someone you're with, even if it's $1, is wrong and disgusting
then if you do it for the game, it means you are totally under the effect of the game
It means you are addicted to gambling and have a problem.

My own moral of the story is that we should not take the money that does not belong to us to gamble, because what If we use such amount to gamble without being calculative or careful, and we end up losing the game, what will be the outcome? It will definitely turn bad. So weather fiction or nonfiction story, we should be careful on how we allow our emotion to control us. Because any wrong or negative attempt may result to catastrophe expecialy when you take loan or steal money for gambling.
